Good Friday Morning Everyone. I hope everyone had a great Thursday and ready to start a new day. Today is Friday the 13th. I hope most of your aren't supersticious. I know I'm not because all thst stuff is of the devil anyway. It is currently 34 degrees with a winchill of 23 degrees. The winds are out of the North, Northeast at 17mph with gusts up to 24 mph. It is partly cloudy outside also. Well yesterday Old Man Winter decided to pay us another visit and leave us some of his goodies. I woke up yesterday morning and looked outside and I could see Ice on the high line wires and on the trees. I was thinking, this can't be good. The girls went to SChool becase the roads weren't really that bad here in town. Most of the morning we had freezing rain, sleet and then about Mid-morning it started turning to Snow. It was mostly a wet Snow and wasn't sticking because it had been so warm eaier this week. The did end up closing the School here around 10:00a.m.CST yesterday morning. I took alot of pictures and I will share some of them with you. It snowed off and on all day with some rain mixed in but we didn't get any accumulating snow. By Sunset, it had all pretty much moved on out of here.

Well, I still have to learnhow to put the pictures in the right place, so please forgive e as I'm still trying to relearn and remember how things work on here. Since it was so ad, my DH told me to call and reschedule my Doctor's appointment to another day. He didn't want me to get out and fall. So, I go on the 24th of this month. That's the same day I go to the Cardiologist also. I have one appointment in the morning and one in the afternoonm, so it all worked out well and DH will be on vacation that week and can go to both of the appointments with me too.

Afte I had went to pick te girls up from SChool yesterdy morning, we came home and I did 4 loads of laundry and washed a sink full of dishes and then cooked supper. I fixed some Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup for our supper last night. There is enough for tonight, so we will be having leftover's. I need to go to Jonesboro and get my meds, but it's suppose to start raining this afternoon and rain pretty much all weekend, so I don't know if we will go tonight or tomorrow. I'll have to wait nd see what DH wants to do. He will be home in about an hour or so and will have to go to bed and sleep some.

I received a "Lovely BLog Award" the other day from Mrs. Katie @ Katie's Place. Mrs. Kstie is Shelley's Mom . Sorry Aout not putting th links on here right, but if you go to my Blogroll you can see Mrs. Katie's and Shelley's links andclick on them and visit them. They ar both nice ladies and I enjoy visiting them. THANK YOU" Mrs. Katie for the Award. I do appreciate it very much.

Today just isn't my day on putting thingd here on my blog,so please forgive all the mess ups today.

Well, guess I'll go for now annd start visiting some of you. I'll try not to wake you since it's so early. Take care my friend and have a great day and weekend. May GOF Bless you and yours.

Love,
Karen H.

Hello sweet Karen!!! Nasty weather. We too had a dreary, misty day. The temps this past week were in the mid 80s and just beautiful. Then, we woke up to a blast of cold, damp weather yesterday and it remains here this morning. But I can't complain...we are in a drought around here and need the moisture.

Take it easy now, y'hear!!! Get the rest you need...BOTH you and your DH.

We have been having some nasty weather too. Lots of rain and cooler temps. We needed the rain though but I could do without the cold weather!
have a nice weekend!!

Karen,

The night before last, we had a little snow here, but nothing much. However to the east, they got quite a bit. It had rained all day on Wednesday and so that made the roads treacherous in that area. The 401 and some other major roads in the Toronto area were really bad and blocked up because cars and trucks were sliding everywhere. I'm glad your DH wasn't in this area.

Today is overcast but it is to be warmer and quite nice by next week. I hope the weatherman is correct.

The pain in my legs isn't so bad now. I'm getting relief with the ibuprofen and Pennsaid. However, I'm tuckered out from the months of pain previous to that. I really don't want to take Cortisone, as it is a steroid and it's not something I really want in my body. I may inquire about the gel injection that can be given but it depends on what is in it. I take diabetic meds, a high blood pressure med and a cholesterol med and that is more than I want to take at one time. I dislike meds intensley, but we have to do what must be done.

Thanks for your concern and your prayers. I am so glad you are gaining back your independence and doing so much better.

Take care, have a good day and remember to rest.
Blessings,
Mary

Your pictures bring back many bad memories of our ice storm in Jan. Some in my area was out of electricity for 5 days. I am so glad your storm was not that bad. Take care of yourself and have a great weekend. Feel free to share any of what I send.

Love and Hugs,
Joyce

It would have been ok to wake me up if you'd brought me some of that Chicken Noodle soup you made! hehe I'm actually feeling much better today so it must have been some type of 24 hour flu.

Yuck, I hate it when there's ice everywhere, makes it all so dangerous, especially if you get a layer of snow on top of it all. I think it was smart to cancel your appointment with the roads being bad like that. Much better to go when your hubby can go with you.

We had a sunny day today with temps of 25F which to us is nice...anything above 0 is nice to us! lol Next week it's supposed to be a bit milder but with those mild temps, we're also supposed to get rain. At least it should make some more of the snow melt!!!

Take good care of yourself my friend and know that I love you:-) xoxo
