SUNDAY

Good Mornin' Yall,
I hope that everyone has had a great weekend and ready to start a new day and week. It is currently 36 degrees with a windchill of 32 degrees. The winds are out of the Northwest at 5mph. Yeap, you read that right. We had a cold front to come thru after the storms and rain Thursday, and it's been quite chilly around here. We have had to turn the heat back on again. "PRAISE GOD" we didn't get anything severe around here, but some places got some hail and some more heavy rains. When I had posted on Thursday morning, we were under a Tornado Watch until 11:00a.m., but they extended it till 5:00p.m. that afternoon. It was really windy here on Thursday as well and by mid-afternoon, the winds were really blowing. It finally started raining here shortly after the girls got in from School on Thursday afternoon. And it rained and rained. It did slack up a few times and quit, but it started up again. Our electricity did go off for about a minute and came back on, but that was the only time it went out. They did place us under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 1:00a.m. Around 9:15p.m. Thursday night, we did get placed under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning. There was some hail in Lake City and other surrounding cities, but it never hailed here that I knew of. But it did rain tho. Both of the girls games were cancelled for Thursday. Friday and yesterday were partly cloudy and much cooler days around here. Today it is suppose to be partly cloudy and a chance for some showers and then tonight mix in with some SNOW. Yeap, you read that one right too. I'm not going to hold my breath tho, cause I just don't think it will be much except a flake or two if that. The high today is only suppose to be 49 degrees and down to 34 tonight. We are under a Freeze Watch for tomorrow night and into Tuesday morning.

My DH made it home Friday morning around 9:00a.m. and he was really tired. I was tired too as I hadn't had much sleep either. After he came home, me and him both went back to bed. Our youngest daughter did have a game up here on Friday evening. They lost to Manila 12 to 6. They did play a good ballgame tho. It was pretty chilly while she was playing ball. After the ballgame was over with, we all came home. I was in bed before 8:00p.m. I was still tired and cold from being out in the cold at the ballgame, so I put my P.J.'s on and went to bed. I think everyone else came to bed around 9:00p.m. We all slept late on Saturday. We got up around 8:30a.m. Now that is late for around here now. LOL. We all got up and got ready and went to Jonesboro for the day and shopped till we dropped. LOL. We had gotten our little Income Tax Check in on Friday, so since our oldest daughter's Birthday is this month, we took them to Jonesboro for a day of pampering and buying them things. We first stopped at a Pawn Shop and my DH bought him another Guitar. Oh, he loves his Guitars and likes to have a new or used one every now and then. After we left there, we went to the Mall and me and the girls had some new nails put on. I used to have them all the time, but this is the second time the girls has had some. After we finished there, we took them to a beauty shop in the Mall and they got their hair cut and had some highlights put in their hair. They loved that and it made them feel special. My DH told them they could have whatever they wanted done to their hair as long as it was decent. So, that is what they had done to their hair and both of their haircuts and highlights turned out really good. While they were getting their hair done, me and my DH went into Target to look around and we went to Starbucks and I bought a cup of regular coffee. My DH doesn't like the flavored coffee's, so I just bought a Starbucks Mug and had regular coffee put in and we shared it. We also went to Payless Shoe Store and I bought me a pair of Tennis Shoes. They were having a sale where you buy one pair and get another one 1/2 price. Actually you could buy anything in the store for 1/2 price. I bought the tennis shoes and some socks, and I bought the girls both a Guitar Hannah Montana Purse. They loved those purses. After they had finished with their hair, we took them to Payless Shoe Store and bought them some shoes. I ended up buying me another pair and getting another pair at half-price. Hey, you can't hardly pass up a good bargain like that. They had wanted to go into Claire's and they were having a sale on earrings where you buy 2 pair and get the 3rd pair free. So, my DH bought us all 2 pair of earrings and we got 1 pair free. I also went and bought me a new purse and billfold because I needed them both badly. I usually keep a purse till it wears out. LOL. After we finished at the Mall, we went to the Skating Rink and I paid for our oldest daughter's Birthday Party. She is having a Skating Party on the 26th of this month, and you have to pay for the party at least a week in advance. We will have to pay more on the day of the Party because I know she will have alot more than 8 friends there. When I finished there, we went to eat at the Mongolian Bar and Grill. It is a Chinese Restuaurant and we love eating there. After we finished eating, I had to go to Wal-Mart. We let the girls pick out a new bike for part of their Birthday present also. They both found one and my DH bought some bunji cords and took them out to the truck and put them on top of the truck. We have a rack on the top of our truck, so he stayed out there with them till I finished my shopping. I really didn't take the time to really shop the way I wanted to, but I did buy a few necessities for the house and I bought me a pair of pants on sale for $7.00. I also bought me a Deep-Fryer so I could use it cooking all of the things I had bought from Backwoods BBQ last week. We came home and when we got into town, we stopped out at the Quick Shop and my DH aired up the tires on the girls new bikes. After we got to the house, we uloaded the truck and the girls rode their new bikes for a while. Our oldest daughter's bike tore up, so I'm going to have to take it back and get another one. Me and my DH also bought us a new cell phone like the one we got the girls for Christmas. After I had gotten things put away, I had to charge our new cell phones so I could activate them. So now, all 4 of us has the same kind of phone. I went to bed around 1:30a.m. this morning and my DH came to bed around 2:00a.m. I couldn't go to sleep so I got up and ate a snack and layed back down. I finally went to sleep around 2:45a.m. and then my alarm went off at 3:45a.m. I didn't want to get up. LOL. I almost turned the alarm off and thought about going back to sleep, but I knew I couldn't. I got up and started a pot of coffee and got my DH us and he got ready. He left around 5:00a.m. this morning going to Salt Lake City. They have to go to Canada next week, but I forgot what part they have to go to. They will be home on Tuesday night to spend the night this week, weather permitting. Then they will be back home on Friday morning and won't have to leave out till around 11:00a.m. next Sunday morning. Our oldest daughter is suppose to have ball practice today at 1:00p.m., but I hope they cancel it because it's going to be too cold and then it may be raining again as well. They have a game here at home tomorrow night at 7:30p.m. That won't be too bad since it is here at home. After Monday, they both won't have a game until Friday. That's a good thing because tomorrow, they start their Benchmark Test's. That has been my weekend so far, what has yours been like?

Well, guess I will go for now. I'm about to finish my last cup of coffee and I think I may lay back down for a while since I haven't had much sleep. I will try and get around to visit with you sometime today. I do need my sleep. LOL. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

LOVE & HUGS,

G'day Karen!!!

Wow, busy busy busy!!! And NEW bikes?!!! Well now, I must wish them a happy birthday. Great gifts.

Snow? No kidding? I was talking to my sister yesterday...they too got a LOT of snow!!! She said it snowed last week too, but this last storm they acquired 9" of new stuff. GAWD how I hate snow. rofl.

And you got yourself a deep fat fryer?!! Oh yummy, they make the best gosh darn french fries!!! Bring on the Heinz!!! And breaded shrimp. Oh ya baby, you got me drooling again. I come here and read about all this good stuff and slobber all over the keyboard!

I bet it was so much FUN shopping and spending the IRS check. That is the best part of Spring, don't you think? LOL [it was for me I know that...that was before we ended up having to pay in...then, it sucked totally!]

And he likes guitars huh? I have one that I haven't played for decades!! Too bad we don't live close to each other, I'd gladly give it to him....all it does here is collect dust.

Have a great day Karen...take a NAP!!! To be sure. And thanks for dropping by.

Hi Karen,
Man, you really went on a shopping spree!! LOL I need to buy clothes so bad but I hate to shop! I also have trouble finding any clothes that I like right now so I just wear my old, holey ones! :O)

Where is that new camera and why aren't we seeing pictures?? I was hoping you or Diane one would have pictures of your meeting!

Have a great Sunday and come see me when you can!

Love and Hugs,
Hope

Hi Karen,
Sounds like you had quite the busy day with shopping. It's sometimes fun to buy a few things that we don't really need. Glad you enjoyed yourselves :)

Karen,

I'm glad you were able to enjoy your little check. We got ours but it was very small. I stocked up on grocery staples and I'm not sure what the other bit will go for. I need new tennis shoes as well, so maybe that is what I should do. I wonder if Payless Shoes here is having a sale? Think I'll check on that. Thanks for the heads-up.

Bikes are great gifts for the girls. Biking is fun and good exercise. Brandon and Jordan already have theirs out and have been biking almost every day when the weather's been nice.

We had rain for 3 days and then early this morning it turned to snow, but nothing that stayed. It is sunny and cold now.

If you think of it, find out what part of Canada your DH is coming to. It would be interesting to know where he is going to be.

Take care, my friend. Drop by when you can.

Blessings,
Mary

My goodness, Karen, your sign "Shop Til You Drop" certainly suits you. Sounds like you really got some special things for yourself and your family. Doesn't it make you feel good to get something new? Does me.

I thought we had chilly tempertures this morning, but not as low as your's. Our temperature right now is only about 40 degrees. That hurts after all the warm weather.

There's a cute little button waiting for you to pick up at my blog if you haven't already done so. I think it was placed there Friday, not sure.

Have a good week.

Isn't it great to be able to spend a little money without having to count every penny first?

Yup, it's cold! I'm wrapped up and our heat is on, but I'm still chilly. Sarah Tipton is saying that it may get down to 32F in some places around here tonight. Wouldn't surprise me....

Other than what I already mentioned on my blog, the only thing I've done today is go to church both times and cook Sunday Dinner. It was good, too!

Hope you have a good week, Karen. Tell the girls I said "Hi!" ;o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

Mornin' Karen....once again. I just wanted to stop by again after you left your comment this morning.

No, if you followed the arrows and highlighted with your mouse's cursor, the answer to the bird drawing wasn't me!!! "hidden" between the arrows, is the name of the artist...Picasso.

And YES!! I would love some shrimp french fries AND I'd love to sample those broccoli and cheese poppers!!

Have a super day. Stay warm.

Wow, it sounds like a big shopping spree. Your DH must have had a big bonus in his check. All that hard work pays off. :)

We had rainy weather since Tuesday and yesterday the sun came out and it pretty much dried out everything. So glad to see blue skies and dry pavement.

Take care and God bless.

So - you really did shop till you dropped! I'm not a fan of shopping at all, but it's kinda fun when you actually have some money, eh? I prefer catalog shopping myself.

I hope it'll warm up for you soon. We're having lovely spring today and supposedly tomorrow, then Wednesday back down to 48. Yuck!

The weather up here is warming up and we are to be in the 60's all week with at least 3 days of sun. Your DH should have a pleasent trip to Canada. Take care and talk to you again soon.

Hi Karen,

I'm late, I'm late, sorry about that. It did get cool Sunday, but we had no precipitation at all. I enjoyed the weekend with Greg, then with friends after church on Sunday. Today I was gone just about all day. It was a nice day, too, sunny, but a bit cool. Warmer weather is on its way, and more rain as well, by Friday.

I love to shop, and enjoyed reading abour your big shopping spree.

Hope your Monday has gone well, and that you are rested up and ready for more shopping! LOL.

Love and Hugs,

Renie
