RED CARPET SUNDAY

Come in, and make yourself at home. Have a cup of coffee with me this morning.

Good Sunday Mornin' Yall,
I do hope that everyone had a great Friday and Saturday and ready to start a new day. It is currently 32 degrees with a windchill of 25 degrees. The winds are currently out of the West, Southwest at 8 mph. It is foggy outside as well. We are under a Freezing Fog Advisory until 8:00a.m. this morning. It has been a cold and dreary last 2 days here. Friday was bitterly cold and I think the high only made it up to 30 degrees. Saturday was no picnic either. They had said that it was supposed to have reached around 47 degrees on Saturday. The high only made it up to 33 degrees here. It was a cloudy and dreary day yesterday as well. In fact, when I first got up yesterday morning, I noticed that we were under a Freezing Rain Advisory. I looked at the radar and saw nothing. I decided to look outside, so I opened up our front door and didn't see anything but clouds. Oh, and by the way, we didn't get anything on Friday like they were predicting. We got NODDA!!!! It seemed to have went all around us. Yesterday morning tho, there was some Black Ice in my hometown 12 miles from where we live. It wasn't too bad tho. Anyway, they are saying that today's high will be around 45 degrees. We will see what it does. I know at first they were predicting highs around 60 degrees for today.
My DH got home Friday morning around 6:15a.m. He stayed up a little while and saw the girls before they went to School. He went to bed around 7:00a.m. After I had taken the girls to School, I came back home and took my meds and ate me a bowl of plain Cornflakes. I went back to bed around 8:30a.m. and I didn't get up till 12:45p.m. My DH was still sleeping, so I let him sleep. Around 3:30p.m. I did wake him up. The girls usually get home from School around 3:45p.m. They like to ride the bus home from School in the afternoons. They were staying all night with my Parents on Friday night. It had been a few weeks since me and DH had had some alone time together. My Parents came and got the girls around 4:00p.m. Along about 4:30p.m., me and DH went to our local Restaurant called "The Cowboy Grill" and had fish. They serve fish on Friday nights. It was pretty good. I have had better before, but since it had been a while since I had had some fish, it tasted pretty good. We had some desert as well. My DH had a piece of yellow cake with a 7-minute icing on top. I had the Turtle Cheesecake. After we had finished our dinner, we made a couple of blocks thru town and came home and watched some t.v. We had a great evening being with just each other. I missed the girls, don't get me wrong, but there comes a time when we need our time together as well. With his new schedule, it's rare that we do get the alone time we need.
I didn't post yesterday. We had a busy day. Our youngest daughter had to Cheerlead at the boys pee-wee Basketball game here in town. She had to by out at the Gym by 8:45a.m. The game started at 9:00a.m. I went and watched my nephew play in the first game. The 4th grade team always play first. They won their game. I stayed and watched the 5th grade game. They won their game as well. My nephew that is in thet 6th grade played next. I stayed until half-time and I came home. They were losing their game at half-time. My MIL brought the girls home after the game. The girls did say that the 6th graders lost their game. Before the girls got home, me and DH started on taking the Christmas decorations down. When the girls got here, we all worked together and got everything done in about 1 1/2 hours. Since I had done alot of decorating, we had quite a bit of stuff to pack back up. But we got it all down and put back in boxes and DH put it all in the shed outside. Now my house looks naked without all of the decorations, but I am glad they are finally down and put away. I always hate to take the decorations down. It seems to take longer than it does putting them up. I always say that the next Christmas I'm not going to do much decorating. LOL. I will just have to wait and see what kind of mood I'm in this Christmas. While the girls helped DH take the boxes out to the shed, I started cooking. I fried some bacon. It wasn't the kind in the box, but the kind that comes like in a 3 pound package. NO, NO, I didn't cook all 3 pounds of it. LOL. I probably cooked about 1/2 the package tho. Our youngest daughter wanted alot cooked because she said they love Bacon. I opend up a can of those big Biscuits in a can. I also fried some eggs and scrambled some eggs. That was our supper. We ate around 4:30p.m. After supper, I did the dishes and I was so tired. I took some PMS pills because my stomach was cramping and I went to bed around 5:00p.m. My DH went back to bed as well. I woke up around 8:00p.m. and stayed up for a bit. Finally about 9:00p.m. DH got up and I did too. He said he had done had plenty of sleep. He didn't go to watch our youngest daughter Cheer today. He stayed home and slept. We have been drinking coffee since about 10:00p.m. Saturday night. I'm on my last cup tho. My DH will be leaving around 1:30a.m. to go by and pick his Uncle up and they will be heading out around 2:00a.m. Please keep them both in your prayers. We have been watching The Weather Channel and it's looking to be pretty bad out in Wyoming and Utah. They even said something about closing some Highways. I just hope it doesn't shut down I-80. I will probably go lay back down after while and get me a nap. I have laundry to do today. I so look forward to doing laundry. LOL. I am going to take it easy today as well. There was some leftover Scrambled Eggs left from supper last night, so the girls can heat them up in the microwave and there is a few pieces of Bacon left as well. When they finish that off, I may just fix some Ramen Noodles.
Last week, I was Awarded several Awards. I was going to post about it on Friday, but since my Friday post was a long post, I decided to wait in doing it. I have several Awards that I received, so I am going to pull out the Red Carpet again. This time, we will all be in Las Vegas, NV, on the Red Carpet. So, pull up a chair and grab you something to drink and let the show begin.
Don't get lost in the crowd please. I will be coming down the Runway shortly. Before I do, I want to show you all what I will be wearing.
The top picture is the Sideview and you can see the front of the dress as well. The bottom picture is a back view of my dress. Since I'm a plus-sized Woman, I thought this would be appropriate to wear. Also, the color of the dress will make me look a bit slimmer.

I have chosen these shoes to wear. I don't wear high-heeled shoes anymore. I would just fall and break my neck if I wore high-heeled shoes. I think these shoes are so cute with the leoprad print inside. I love the look of leoprad print.

I have also chosen a little evening bag to carry along. I think it will look quite nice with my attire.

I love the little chain it has that you can put over your shoulder. Notice the Silver lining around the front part. Isn't that adorable?

I have picked out some nice Jewelry as well. I do love Jewelry. I have quite alot of Jewelry, but I thought this was so beautiful.

I really love the necklace and earring set that matches. I do love Diamonds as well. This is a picture of the model that was wearing them. I will be putting them on shortly. They are beautiful I must say. Okay, now that I'm all dressed up and ready to walk down the Red Carpet, here are the Awards that I will be receiving.

I have some other Awards that were presented to me a couple of weeks ago, so I need to have a whole day of passing out Awards. I do hope that you enjoyed my Red Carpet Awards in Las Vegas. Wasn't it so much fun? Now, let's all go and have some fun in some of the Casino's and look around. I do believe I see the Paris Hotel & Casino in the background.

I have been tagged again for a couple of things. I am going to wait and do them later on this week as well. One of them I have some serious thinking to do on it. It's quite a challenge to do. I will have to be making some notes to write down so I don't forget them. LOL.

Well, I guess that's about if for this Sunday's post. I do hope you had a good time and enjoyed yourselves. Since I have figured out how to do some of this stuff, I think it's fun to be able to do this. Oh, I still have lots to learn tho. I do need to learn how to fix me an Awards page for all of my Awards. It may take me some time, but hopefully by the end of this year, I will have learned how to do it. LOL. Take care my friends and have a Blessed Sunday. May God Bless Each and Everyone of You.

LOVE & HUGS,

Ewwwwwwwww, I've been over 1-80 from The Missouri River to Utah...and I swear, in the winter, that Sherman's Pass near the Laramie cutoff is treacherous when icy!!! I hope the two guys get over it safely and return home sound!!!

Y'know, I don't think I've ever eaten leftover scrambled eggs...I always eat mine all gone. LOL [do they get 'rubbery' when reheated in the microwave? ---just thinking aloud I guess]

I swear your schedule is even making ME have PMS symptoms here!!! And I am too old to have this. rofl

Congrats on the awards Karen! Have a happy Sunday and hopefully you can get some rest.

Hi Karen, loved the outfit and jewellery for the red carpet. It's nice to dress up sometimes... you certainly deserved all those awards.
Reading about bacon and eggs made me feel hungry, I guess I'll go and get some dinner now...and also feed the rabbit.

Karen,

As always I will be keeping DH in my prayers. From what Anni says that Pass is not a great place to be when there's a storm going on. So I will ask for an extra blessing when he and his uncle are coming through that stretch of road.

Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday. You make me tired just reading about it. My day was more laid back. Didn't do much at all.

I loved your red carpet affair and that dress is beautiful. You are most deserving of all the awards you received. I have a couple that I really must pass along. I meant to do it today, but must have had a Senior Moment. LOL

Take care, my friend. Have a nice Sunday with your girls. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing the sculptured shrubs at MGM. I thought they were delightful.

Love and blessings,
Mary

Hi, Karen. Congratulations on all your awards, and very deserving as well. ;o)

I'm still drinking my coffee and it's almost 9 pm. I drink coffee anytime, day or night.

Ducky and Sue and I ended up going to Atzimba's Mexican restaurant in Trumann for lunch. I had the soft tacos and refried beans. It was really good, and Ducky ordered some guacamole and shared with me and Sue. Yum!

I'm not sure what I'll be doing tomorrow since Cecil is sick. She's got a Dr's appointment Monday morning and I don't know if she'll feel like coming up here or not. If not I'll probably do some housecleaning. YaY!! What fun, LOL! ;o)

Hope your week is a good one, and your hubby stays safe as he drives.

Love and hugs,

Diane

It has been pretty cold here too, in fact we had snow this morning. It all melted off before noon and I was sure glad because some of my family were coming to celebrate my birthday with me. I still had two families come the others were snowed in.
Have a great week.
