TUESDAY TIDBITS

Good Tuesday Mornin' Yall,

I do hope this finds that everyone had a wonderful Monday. It is another new day today. This is the day, this is the day, this is the day that the Lord hath made!!!! It is a chilly morning here. It is 37 degrees with a windchill of 33. It is suppose to warm up about 10 degrees more than what it was here yesterday, so that will be good. I was watching our local weather man give his Monday night forecast last night a little after 10:00p.m. last night and they are calling for rain again this coming weekend. He also mentioned the "I" word. Yeap, you guessed it. "ICE". He did say it was still a few days out and that they would be keeping an eye on it. Lord, I pray for no ice. You can send snow, but please no ice. AMEN. I would love to see some snow, but ice is just too dangerous. I am sitting here waiting on my pot of coffee to get done. I sure wish it would hurry up. All this talking about ice is making me cold here. LOL

We went to Gosnell, AR last night to the basketball game. My dear Mother-In-Law went with me so it wouldn't just be me and the girls. "THANK GOD" the rain had stop and the fog was gone. It was a good game. It was another tense game. The first half of the game we would be ahead by 2 or 3 points. It was just too close for compfort. Then at half-time it was tied up. Wouldn't you know it, during the third quarter it was still close, us still leading by 2 or 3 points. Finally, the 4th quarter comes around and walla. We started scoring more points. We ended up winning the game 26 to 16. GO REBELS!!!! My daughter got to play quite a bit last night and she even scored 2 points again. She made an excellent play during the 4th quarter where she got the ball and dribbled it down the court and gave it to a team mate to score 2 points. You just had to be there to see it. Seems there were more team playing during the 4th quarter. One of the main players didn't get to play because she had left school yesterday morning sick. She was at the game because her parents are the coaches. She was dressed out but she just sat on the bench the whole game. We have another game tonight at Luxora, AR. I went outside at half-time last night, and there was a lady outside also and we were talking about games and such. She did say that Luxora beat them (Gosnell) 32 to 8. She said there was some big players on that team as well. And they like to play rough and hit and that good stuff. I am now dreading that game. Yall may remember me posting a while back about one of my daughter's game where 2 girls got kicked out of the game due to kicking and hitting. Yall, there is just no sense in this kind of stuff. I mean this ain't professional basketball. It's not even high school basketball yet. It all should be just for fun. The lady also told me about another team that we still have yet to play doing the same thing. I may have to get me a "POLICE" escort to these games. LOL. I'm still not sure about the Wednesday night game yet, but I'm sure the coach will let us know tonight. I don't sound like a proud mother do I? LOL. I AM VERY PROUD OF MY DAUGHTER. SHE DOES GOOD!!!! Okay, I'll move on now.

How is everyone's Christmas decorating coming? I still have to put my village up. I'm hoping to get it up later on in the week. I am seriously thinking of doing the "Christmas Home of Tours" this year. I wasn't out here in blogland last year, so I am really excited about doing it. BooMama is hosting it this year I've been told. I will probably know for sure by the weekend if I'm doing it or not. That's why I'm not going to post any more pictures because if I decide to do it, it will be a surprise. The picture yesterday was just a little teaser. LOL. Are any of you doing the "Christmas Home of Tours" this year? If you did last year, feel free to tell me more about it. I know we have to post pictures on our blogs and all. Is there anything else to it besides that? I dunno, I'm just asking.

I want to "THANK" you all for lifting Barb and Mandy up yesterday. After I had read her blog yesterday afternoon, I just felt the need to post about it and ask for prayers. "THANK GOD" she wasn't hurt nor was the young boy. I do imagine she will be a bit sore this morning tho. Yesterday morning on Interstate 40 here in Arkansas, there had been a bad wreck the night before and it had the East bound lane closed up until late yesterday morning. A Charter Bus coming from Chicago going to Dallas crossed the median and hit a truck and then a semi hit the bus also. I still haven't heard as to why the Charter Bus crossed the median. Last account I heard, there were 3 casualties and 20 or more injured. We need to lift these families up as well. Even tho we may not know them, we should still pray for them. The pictures I seen on the news yesterday morning, the Charter Bus was torn up pretty good. From the looks of it, I don't see how anyone came out alive. But, PRAISE GOD they did.

I called hubby yesterday morning at 8:00a.m. to wake him up. He was already up and getting unloaded. It had to be there at 11:00p.m. Sunday night and he was there by 9:45p.m. After he got unloaded he called to let me know he had to go over into Illinois and pick up another load and take it to Shreveport, Louisiana. He had me to map it out for him to see which way it would have him running. Wouldn't you know it, it had him running down Interstate 40. But Thankfully, he would be on the Westbound lane going. I told him about the wreck and to be careful. He called me last night about 9:30p.m. to let me know he was shutting down. He was down in Prescott, AR. I have to call him at 7:00a.m. to wake him up so he can get the load on down to Shreveport. I don't know where he will be going from there. He will have to wait until he is unloaded and then call the brokerage company. I do know he will be home Thursday night. Hubby and me has some business to attend to in Jonesboro Friday morning. He told his boss yesterday he had to be home Thursday evening as well as the brokerage company. He has told me many times he just hates to leave in that truck every week. It doesn't bother him too bad when he is hauling locally, but when he has to be gone all week, he doesn't like that part of it. He tells me he wished he had a job that pays $1,000 a week just to sit at home. LOL. I know what you are probably thinking, but you have to know my dear hubby. He is very comical. He is always making me laugh. I tell him when he finds that kind of job to be sure to let me know and I would apply for it also. LOL.

I am letting the girls sleep a little later than usual this morning. Instead of me getting them up earlier and fixing them breakfast, they are going to eat breakfast in the school lunchroom. It was late when they got in bed last night, so they do need their rest.

Well, guess I'll go for now. I think I may go see who's up and if your not up, I will wake you up. LOL. Just kidding. Yall have a great Tuesday and may God Bless Each and Everyone of You. Take care my friends.

Good morning Karen!

And what a blessing to come bye for a visit and feel all the festivities! I haven't given Christmas decorations a thought...until this very moment! Looks like I'll have to go into the dreaded storage room and make it happen...later! My day is filled with appointments well into the late afternoon....which is part of the problem. I wake up with good plans to get things done around the house...but errands, appointments, and other scheduling takes precedence. UG!

Oh well...as you say--today is the day...that the Lord hath made......I'll stop complaining and start rejoicing in it!!!

You bless me!

Diane

We have a beautiful but chilly day here in Ohio...I wish we could have had this weather yesterday instead of what we got, but oh well, I'm sure there was a reason!

I hate ice...I can't say that I hate snow, especially here where they keep the roads pretty clean, for the most part, in Ky it was dangerous, they did not keep them as clean and people did not know how to drive on it, they would just barrel around like there was nothing there...lol! Lot's of accidents needless to say!

You mentioned coffee, I made myself a spot of tea and sat down here to blog...you are my first visit of the day
*big smile*

Have a good one! =)

Karen,

I will have to drop in later to read your post. I just wanted to let you know to take a copy of the award, since you are one of my blogging friends. Now I'm off to pick the youngest grandson up from school.

Do the Christmas meme just like any other post. You can copy and paste the questions from over at Hootin' Anni's. If you don't know her, the link is on my post for today.

Blessings,
Mary

Hello dear Karen, I'm visiting a bit earlier tonight! lol That cold front seems to have moved in on a lot of us...I don't mind snow but I won't drive if it's icy out. Two years ago I lost control of the car while on the highway due to ice and it scared me so much..thank God I didn't hit another car but I did get stuck in a snowbank. Two nice gentlemen stopped to help me out:-)

Great job your daughter's team is doing, winning all those games:-) Hopefully they do just as well tonight! I agree with you, there is absolutely no reason for games like that to get rough.

I don't envy your hubby his job...it really must be a very lonely life to be on the road so much like that. It's no wonder he'd love to find something else and be able to come home every night.

I was gone shopping today for over 5 hours...I swear it's more tiring being in the mall with all those crowds than it is to be doing physical work! lol At least I did manage to get a few Christmas gifts for my boys:-)

Hope your day was a good one, dear friend...take care and "see" you tomorrow:-) xoxox

Congrats on the win! I had to run some errands today and it was a lot warmer today. Don't worry, Karen, you know how Arkansas weather is! It may be fine this weekend. They got my fridge fixed this afternoon so I came home and cleaned up a bit in the house. Hope you have a good night tonight. Unfortunately, some people get a little carried away at sporting events... just be careful.... Have a good rest of the week... I have to go back to work tomorrow.. Cecil

Hi Karen,

Congratulations to your daughter and team for the win at Gosnell! I love reading your cheerful posts. I feel better this morning. I've been down in the dumps, as you know. Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. I hope we don't get ice this weekend!!! The weather report seems to have changed a bit, and it says rain, instead.

Take care and enjoy your family.

God bless and big Hugs,

Renie
