WEDNESDAY WHAT HAVE YOU'S

glitter graphics

Good Wednesday Mornin' Yall,

I do hope that everyone had a great Tuesday and ready to start a new day. It is currently 22 degrees with a windchill of 9 degrees. The winds are out of the North Northwest at 14 mph . Yesterday was a cloudy, rainy, and cold day here. We were under a Winter Storm Warning for a while and they lifted it about Mid-Morning. Later on, a little after noonish, they put us under a Winter Weather Advisory. The temperature had dropped to 30 degrees by 3:00p.m. While I was out in line to pick the girls up from School, we got some freezing rain. It was freezing on the vehicles and some of the trees, but the roads were in pretty good shape. I think the high today is only suppose to be around 38 degrees. Anyway, our freezing rain didn't amount to much at all. They are talking like we might get some more Wintry precipitation this weekend.

Our oldest daughter started their Softball practice last night. Since this was the first night, they met out at a Church with a Family Life Center and played games and had prizes to give away. Our daughter didn't win anything, but she came close. I think there were like 15 girls that had came out last night. Most of the girls have been playing together for the past 3 years. There were some new ones there last night. Since this is fast-pitch softball, I don't know if these girls will stick with it or not. The coach said that our Pre-Season Tournament is March 29th. He did say also that when the temperatures got at least 50 degrees and above, the would be practicing out on the ball fields. I'm sure glad of that because it's way too cold to be practicing ball outside right now. I am looking forward to watching the softball games. Our youngest daughter brought home a note today to sign up for 10 and under fast-pitch softball. This will be her first year to play fast-pitch. She played Coach's Pitch last year and she did really good. This will be a whole new game for her. Last year and in years past, I was suppose to be at 2 places at one time. Well, with me being the only one here most of the time, you know how that is. Luckily, I still have my Parents and Sister to help me out some. I rotate going to their games if they both have a game on the same night. That's the only way to do it for me. So, from now until sometime in June, I will be running here and there to all the Softball games. It will keep us busy for a while. I just hope those gas prices don't start rising again. That can put a hurt in one's pocketbook for sure.

I would like to "THANK" Mary@ http://maryswritingnook.blogspot.com/ for giving me another beautiful Valentine's Card.

Isn't that the most beautiful card you have ever seen? She makes these cards herself. "THANK YOU" so much Mary. I do appreciate it very much as always. If you have never been to visit Mary, you must go and visit her. Not only can she make cards, she is a great writer as well. She has written some very lovely stories and poems. She gave this to all of her readers as well. She also gave us one here while back. You can see it at the top of my sidebar. "THANK YOU" again Mary for the beautiful cards. You are such a dear friend.

My DH made it home last night around 11:30p.m. As I was getting to the Church last night for our daughter's softball practice, he had called and wanted to know what I had fixed for supper. I told him that I fixed us some Ramen Noodles. He said he didn't want any Ramen Noodles and that he wanted some real food. I said all I had thawed out was some Bacon. He said he wanted some Bacon and some Biscuits. I told him I would have it ready for him when he got in. At this time, he was just getting into the State of Arkansas. After the softball practice, we came home and the girls got their baths. I did do another load of laundry after they had their baths. I had done one earlier in the day. Yeah, I finally got around to doing the laundry. LOL. Anywho, I finally started frying my DH some Bacon around 10:45p.m. last night. I also put a can of the big biscuits in the oven as well. Now he didn't say anything about wanting any eggs, so I decided to surprise him and fried him 3 eggs over medium just like he likes them. I also fried me some eggs, but I had mine a little more cooked in the yellow part. He was surprised when he got in. We sat down and ate together and then we watched some t.v. and talked for a while. Finally we went to bed around 12:30a.m. They will be leaving out around Noon today going to Memphis to pick up their load and heading up North. I just pray they don't get caught in any major Snow Storm up there and can be home on Friday morning.

Well, guess I'll go for now. I am fixing to have my first cup of coffee. I think I will go and see who is up and who wants to have coffee with me. If I'm not here, make youself at home and grab a cup of coffee or some water for those of you who don't drink coffee. For some of you who was concerned yesterday about my bad headache, I drink Diet Caffeine Free Soda's and the coffee we drink is Foldgers 1/2 Caffeine. I try to avoid caffeine as much as possible. About the only time I have caffeine is if we go out to eat and I drink Sweet Tea. I know most places don't have Caffeine Free Tea, but I still enjoy my Sweet Tea from time to time. Maybe it was just that 1/2 the caffeine that I didn't have that triggered my headache. Anyway, I am feeling much better today and "THANK YOU" all for being concerned about me. Take care my friends and have a great day. May God Bless Each and Everyone of You.

LOVE & HUGS,

Karen,

I'm glad you're feeling better, headaches can be so debilitating at times.

I could go for some bacon and biscuits right now actually LOL

I'm laughing at Sarah's comment because your blog came up and the skidrow song started, hubby quickly turned to me and said "Hey, it's skidrow" LOL

Karen,

You're such a dear friend. Thank you for the kind words you've posted about my blog. I really do appreciate it and am glad that we've become friends.

I just read Anni's post. She is precious. I can't imagine not having her for a friend. She makes me smile everyday.

Those biscuits and bacon sound delicious. You best be careful or half of blogland will be pounding on your door wanting to be fed. LOL

Glad the girls will be playing fast pitch. Sports are good for kids. They need that in their life.

Your DH is going to be just fine. He has road smarts and knows when it's time to stop. That is in his favor. Some truckers won't stop and then put themselves and others in danger.

Praying for you and your family.

Blessings,
Mary

Hi Karen,
I'm not too late for coffee am I? Thank you for the sweet comment on my kitchen. I mostly did this post for you because you were so curious about it. Green is my favorite color too. You won't have to sleep in the kitchen when you visit!! I have a green bedroom upstairs with my grandmother's old iron bed and a fluffy quilt/comforter! Maybe I'll show you pictures of your bedroom next! :o)

I'm so glad you're feeling better. My daddy had bad migrains and I'm so glad I didn't inherit them. I remember him being so sick and in so much pain.

Have you heard from our buddy, Lib, at all? I sure hope she's doing okay. I miss her.

I just love your graphics, especially that cup of coffee with the heart steam coming out! That is so appropriate!!

Have a wonderful day.

Love and Hugs,
Hope

I was happy to see your post up for Tuesday. Thanks for visiting me and wishing us a happy anniversary. We can't believe we've been together this long. We still feel like newly weds.
I'm in Alabama now for a week. I'll most likely be posting most days.
Happy Valentine's Day. I bought my husband one of the heart shaped paper weights that Hallmark had and added a photo. He want be home until Friday so I left it for him to see when he walks in and puts his keys away. I got him a card that sings: Still The One.
Have a good evening. YOu've made me hungry with the bacon and eggs so I better go make the kids mac and chees and cook some veggies to go with the chicken my daughter had me pick up at Walmart.

Hi Karen
Thanks for checking on me. You'll be happy to hear that I'm fine. I've just had a very busy couple of days. I've been asked to do articles for the parish magazine about long-time residents of our village, so I interviewed a friend who was born in our village and lived here for the first 80 years of her life, and then moved to the next town. It was a very interesting interview, and quite an eye-opener as far as showing how much the village has shrunk since she was a child. So I've been beavering away at writing the article, and I finished it this evening. I've also been a bit upset about three comments I've been left that take you to blogs where a trojan virus attacks your computer, so I've stopped going to blogs where I don't know the person, and I've reported the ones with viruses, but they keep moving and changing their name, but the one thing they have in common is they ask you to click the word 'here' for more info, which would be a bad move, I think. I'll be closing the draw for my giveaway tomorrow morning, and after I take my mother shopping, I'm going to ask her to draw the names out of a hat.

Your daughter is starting softball practices already? My goodness we just got 5 or 6 inches of snow today, depending on what radio station you listen to.

So glad that your husband made it home last night.

Take care my friend, I will see you tomorrow.

It's 8:30 p.m., I haven't had any dinner yet...and now thanks to you mentioning bacon and biscuits, I'm REALLY hungry! lol Hmmmm another sign I'm getting better, my appetite is coming back:-)

We're expecting another snowstorm to hit tomorrow...yup, that's all we need here, MORE snow! lol

Good luck to your girls with their softball season! I can well imagine how much it keeps you busy trying to go from one game to another...reminds me of when my boys were in all types of sports and I had to drive all over the place!! Fun, though:-)

Mary's cards are indeed beautiful and I agree with you, she is such a treasured friend. We are truly blessed to have all found each other:-)

Spoken like a true man...I want REAL food! hehe Your hubby sounds like he was hungry:-) Glad he made it home safely and that you were able to spend a bit of time with him before he gets back on the road.

Ok, I'm taking a break from visiting to go feed myself...hmmmm I wonder if it's too late to cook bacon....hehe!! Take care dear heart. xoxo

Hi Karen,

It's been so cold. We got a dusting of snow here and a little ice. Didn't snow enough to suit me.

I'm glad you are feeling better today. You are up early and up late as well. Do you get enough rest? I hope so.

I think breakfast for supper is good sometimes.

Hello Karen,
I am glad you are feeling better. I have been busy last couple of days and haven't been able to visit much. I miss it though when I can't come out and play lol! I hope the youngest one like the fast pitch soft ball. I coached my little boys team one year, first and last time. The kids were great, the parents were aweful but oh well you live and learn huh?

Hi Karen,

So glad that you are feeling better :) I just adore sweet tea and I keep a pitcher in the fridge at all times. Funny thing is, out here in CA they don't make sweet tea in any of the restaurants (they haven't even heard of it). If you want your tea sweet you have to add your own sugar from the packets they give you on the table along with at least 2 other diet sweetner choices. ALL of my sons friends come to our house and want sweet tea now. I'm going to teach them about hush puppies next ;) Poor things, they are missing so many southern treats!

Hugs,
Dena

So glad the migraine is somewhat better. Those are very nasty! Yum, I love me some biscuits and bacon especially fat back; I know it's terrible for ya but oh so good!

Happy Valentines Day, Karen in case I can't make it back tomorrow. (HUGS)

Your girls like playing sports. My oldest doesn't really care for sports that much. She's my drama queen-singing and acting. (Though she can be so dramatic, too. :) ) my youngest is more athletic. So who knows. There is still the issue of her getting rides. I can't do that for her and it's such a hassle to keep checking if someone would do that for me-another parent or something.

My hubby can be so picky about what he likes or doesn't like.
He's meat and potatoes man all the way. No au gratin or scalloped potatoes, just boiled, baked or fries. He doesn't like rice or soup, so I don't make that when he's home. He grew up eating lots of fresh veggies, so no canned or frozen stuff for him all the time. Sigh. And I like easy cooking steps. LOL
