SUNDAY SOMETHING OR ANOTHER'S

Good Sunday Mornin' Yall,
I do hope that everyone had a great weekend and ready to start a new day. It is currently 36 degrees with a windchill of 30 degrees. The winds are out of the East at 8mph. Yesterday was a mostly cloudy day. The Sun did pop out a few times, but in general, it was mostly cloudy and windy. I think the high only made it up to around 38 degrees here yesterday. So, it was rather chilly. Now, I have to share something with yall. As yall all know, I have been wanting some Snow. Well, Friday night I was laying in bed watching our local news and weather. When our local weather guy was showing the radar, it showed a small patch of Snow over our area. Well you know me, I jumped out of that bed and came to the front room where my DH was watching t.v. and opened up the front door to look outside. My DH came and stood beside me as I told him what was going on. At first I couldn't see it, but then a car passed on the highway and I could see it Snowing by the headlights from the car. My DH could see it across the street at the Car Lot, and I looked and sure enough, it was SNOWING. WOOOOHOOOO!!!! It was mostly a wet Snow, but hey, it was SNOW. My DH even noticed a little dusting on the top of our vehicle. It wasn't much, but you could tell it was SNOW. I was going to try and take a picture of it with my Cell Phone Camera, but it was way too dark. Oh, how I wished I had my new camera then. So, I didn't get to take a picture of the SNOW. It's still Winter, so maybe, just maybe, we might get some more. I sure hope that new camera comes in soon. If we do get anymore SNOW, and I have my new camera, you can bet your bottom dollar I will take me some pictures of it then. LOL. But if we don't get anymore SNOW, I can at least say I have seen it SNOW this Winter.
My weekend hasn't been too exciting here. My DH got back from Memphis around 5:15p.m. Friday evening from getting their Salt Lake City load. The girls had called my Parents and was wanting to stay all night with them, so my Parents came and got them around 5:00p.m. I was really feeling miserable also. I had been in bed most of the day and when my DH got home from Memphis, he said he would go out to the Quick Shop and get us a Cheeseburger. It's not the grilled kind, but the already made in a package. He got us 2 a piece and you can also have what you want on your Cheeseburger. I just wanted Mayonnaise, lettuce, and pickles on mine. My DH usually gets the works on his. That is what we had for our supper on Friday night. He also rented 2 movies, and one of them is the Disney Show with the Rock in it, but I was hurting so bad and had to go lay down, that I didn't get to see it. He also rented one of those scary-gory type movies he likes to watch. After we had watch the SNOW fall for a few minutes, I told him I had to lay back down. I asked him if he would grill some Cheeseburgers and Hot Dogs for us on the grill Saturday. He told me he would. Bless his heart, he is such a wonderful husband and would do almost anything for me. I slept till about 9:30a.m. on Saturday and I got up but still felt bad. I had to take my meds and eat me a bowl of cereal. After I did that, I went and layed back down. My DH was still asleep. He got up around 11:30a.m. but I stayed in bed. Finally around 12:45p.m. he came and woke me up and wanted me to make a list of what I needed from the store for him to grill out. He was also wanting some coffee. I got up and made him a pot of coffee and made out my list. He went to the store and then rented him 3 more scary-gory movies. I was still hurting and had to take some more pills and I went to lay back down. He fixed up the Burgers and cooked them. While he was grilling the Hot Dogs, my Parents brought the girls home. This was around 2:30p.m. I still didn't get up at this time, but they went ahead and ate. I finally got up around 4:00p.m. and came in the front room and drunk the rest of the coffee that was left. It was about 2 of my cups for me. After I finished drinking my coffee, I ate me a Cheeseburger and a Hot Dog. They sure were good. I was feeling fairly good at this point and I visited a few places in Blogland. I also washed up some dishes that needed to be washed up. I also did 2 loads of laundry. We went to bed around 10:00p.m. and I slept good until about 12:30a.m. My DH had gotten up and came in the front room and I came in here to see if he was wanting some coffee. He said no and that he was fixing to go back to bed. I went back to bed also. I layed there a while and couldn't go back to sleep, so I just got back up. I've been up ever since. I am going to start a pot of coffee here in a bit. I have to get my DH up at 4:00a.m. so he can get ready and leave out. I sure am going to miss him, but if the weather co-operates with them out West, they will be home on Tuesday night. I just hope their plans don't change like it did last week. They never know being in the Trucking Business.
I've had a few people to ask me where I have been getting my graphics for my new look. I had posted it on Thursday, I think. LOL. I can't remember from one day to the next anymore. LOL. But, I will share it again tho. The link is: http://geocities.com/yosemite/9729/. It is called Lise's Garden. She has some beautiful graphics and all other things. So, if you are interested, please be sure to visit Lise at the link above.
My dear friend, Mary@ http://maryswritingnook.blogspot.com/, has been sharing some information on Black History from Canada. February is Black History Month and I think starting tomorrow, I may share some Black History from the United States. I have really enjoyed reading about the Black History of Canada. If you have some spare time, please go visit Mary and read some of the information she has been sharing. She is such a great person and dear friend. You will really enjoy reading her post's. Her daughter, Michelle, got to come home from the Hospital on Thursday. I do think Michelle was ready to come home. I know I am always glad to come home if I have to be in the Hospital. One can always rest much better in their own bed and feel alot better being in their own environment. So, if you don't mind, please keep praying for Michelle and her recovery at home.
Since I am caught up on my laundry and have the dishes washed up, I am probably not going to be doing much today. I will be taking it easy. There were enough Cheeseburgers and Hot Dogs left from our supper on Saturday night. I will heat them up and me and the girls will eat them today. Our oldest daughter had told me Friday when she came in from School, that they were suppose to practice Softball today on the field. I told her that we will have to wait and see what the weather is doing. Since she is just getting over her cold, I may not let her get out and practice this time. There is just so much sickness going around and especially in the School, that I don't want to take any chance of her getting sick again. Her cousin that is the same age as her and in the same grade, was out of School all week last week because he was sick. He went to the doctor twice. He had bronchitus. So, when you are saying your prayers, please remember everyone that has that sickness that's going around. Hopefully the weather will make up it's mind what it's going to do and stay that way. Tomorrow it's suppose to be around 62 degrees here with some thunderstorms. February has been a month of wild and crazy weather here in the United States.
Well, guess I will go for now and start that pot of coffee. I am about ready for a good cup this morning. I am also going to try and catch up on my visiting as well. If your not up, I'll just come in and sit quietly and visit and then leave. I'll try not to disturb you too much. LOL. Take care my friends and have a Blessed Sunday. May God Bless You and Yours.

LOVE & HUGS,

I am praying for all who are getting over a cold or the flu. My Hubby is working on getting over a chest cold. He is one that has to be out every day to do chorses. Have a good day and take care.

I'm happy to hear you're up and about today.
We've had a fairly quiet weekend. We sat outside yesterday afternoon with a fire in the firepit and and afghan to cover up. I love snuggling with my Honey Bear in the swing.
Have a good day,
I've not caught up on laundry yet.

Hi Karen,
I hope you enjoyed your visit here while I was sleeping! I just wish you had gone ahead and made coffee while you were here! LOL

While I've been sick Dave has been bringing in cheeseburgers too! I get tired of them real quick but I think he could live on them!

Thanks for sharing the link to those graphics. She has some beautiful things on there! I'm glad you enjoyed my post today. I took that picture in my back yard back in the summer. I never remember to add any details about my pictures and somebody always asks me. All my photos are taken right around here somewhere! My awards picture of the sunflower was one I took but it's my neighbor's sunflower! LOL

I hope you continue to feel better today!

Love and Hugs,
Hope

Hi Karen,

How wonderful to have snow! I know you've been wanting it. I am so hungry for a cheeseburger now! One thing I miss is a little place that used to be in my home town called Bumpers. Oh the burgers and fries from there were the best! Hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Hugs,
Dena

Karen,

I wish I could send you some of our snow. We have lots, though it's been melting the last few days. However, we are to have more on Tuesday and the weather is to turn cold again.

I do hope you are feeling better. There is so much illness going around up here and I was feeling poorly for a day or two myself. I'm fine again today.

Thanks so much for the link love to my black history posts. I enjoy learning about it and try to write about Canadian black history every February. I am looking forward to your posts.

I will continue to pray for your family and DH and his uncle on the road. BTW, I mailed your cards on Thursday. You should get them in a week or so.

Take care, my friend.
Blessings,
Mary

I am busy trying to figure out a way to send you some snow. I think it would probably melt before it got to you though.

Sorry to hear that you are still in pain. I sure hope it eases of soon.

Cheeseburgers sound so good, think I will have to make them for supper tomorrow.

Had to make a roast today, which was a good thing. Play practice lasted 4 hours instead of 3. I ache all over, but it's a good ache.

Karen, I really like your new look on your blog. It is really neat looking. Ilike the green on yellow background.

I hope you are feeling much better by the time you read this.

My grandson has been most of the day. Of course, he's been on my computer most of the day, putting me behind in what I need to do. I let him take over my computer, so it's my fault. But,hey, I figure it won't be long before he'll be too big and won't want to visit us. So I'm just glad when he comes here to see us.

I sure and glad you're feeling a bit better. I'm glad you got to see a bit of snow. The years I lived in Arkansas, we got some once, and it shut the whole town down for 3 days, as I recall.

Hi Karen. I'm trying to catch up with my blogging buddies and dropped by to see whazzup with y'all!!!

I do hope you're feeling better today. I know what it's like from years back. And that pain is just not a simple headache like pain...it's debilitating!!

Do you still have some snow on the ground? Here, as I type getting close to 5PM it's 86 degrees on the computer's widget. Wow, that's way too hot for this time of year. I'm thinking right now, if this continues, the Gulf waters will be way too warm this summer during Hurricane season...and then...watch out.

Have a terrific evening.

Hi Karen
I'm really late visiting today. I've been a busy bee here, doing stuff around the house, and now it's bedtime, so I thought I'd visit one or two blogs before i head off to my bed. It still seems as if you're not feeling at all well. You've been hurting for a long time. I hope it starts to ease off very soon, and you feel better. Snow, you had snow, you lucky thing. I wonder if we'll get any this year. Sometimes it snows at Easter time, and this year might be one of those years. Anyhow, goodnight, and I hope you're feeling better.
