Good Mornin' Yall,
I do hope that everyone had a great Tuesday and ready to start a new day. It is currently 43 degrees with a windchill 36 of degrees. The winds are out of the Southwest at 14mph.
We had a Sunny day yesterday but on the chilly side. They are still calling for some freezing rain and sleet tonight and tomorrow. Now I sure wish it was going to be Snow, but I'm not crazy about Ice. I just hope it doesn't get too bad.
I want to let everyone know that Michelle came thru her surgery yesterday morning. I was visiting Mary@ http://maryswritingnook.blogspot.com/ last night and Mary said that her and her hubby went to visit Michelle yesterday evening and they got her up and moved her into a more comfortable position and was given jello and broth to eat. Mary has more about it, but I thought I would give yall a little information about Michelle. Also, little Josie, Grandaughter of Hope@ http://secondtimearoundhope.blogspot.com/ got to come home yesterday also. "PRAISE GOD" for answered prayers yesterday. I do appreciate each and everyone of you saying prayers for both Michelle and Josie. GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME, GOD IS GOOD!!!! But please, keep praying for them as Michelle has a road to recovery to begin now and little Josie won't get sick and will get to feeling herself again. My DH didn't get to come home last night. As yall know, I didn't sleep at all on Monday night, so after I took the girls to School, I came home and ate my bowl of cereal and layed down. I got to feeling sickly at my stomach and was just chilled to the bone. I finally dozed off around 9:00a.m. My Cell Phone rings around 12:40p.m. and it was my DH. He was calling to let me know that they had to do a relay run for another team. They had just gotten into Oklahoma and they had to go to the other side of Oklahoma to Roland, OK, to pick up the relay load and take part of it to Albuquerque, NM, and then from there final out in Henderson, Colorado. So, he said he should be home sometime Friday. Now for those of you who don't know what a relay is, it's where another driver or driver's can't make their run and they have to have someone else do it for them. So, my DH and his Uncle picked up the load and the load they had going back to Memphis was picked up by the other team to bring it to Memphis. Like my DH said, it will be a little more money wise than their normal run going up North. As always, we can use the extra cash around here these days.

I would like to let yall know about a Giveaway. I was visiting Pea@ http://peascorner.blogspot.com/ yesterday and she was telling about Rhonda@ http://rhondamum.blogspot.com/ having a Giveaway in honor of her 50th Post. Here is what Rhonda had to say about her 50th Post Giveaway.

The winner of my giveaway will win a collection of my favorite things including vintage papers, tickets, handmade tags, sheet music, and several other favorites. It will be well worth your time if you like the same types of things that I do. I will post the winner's name on Friday the 22nd.
This is Rhonda's first individual Giveaway and she is really excited about it. All you have to do is go visit Rhonda and leave a comment on her 49th Post and then Post about it on your blog. You can take a copy of the banner about it as well. She is fairly new to blogging and if you have time, please drop by and leave her a word of encouragment and enter her Giveaway. I know she would appreciate hearing from you.

The girls had after School Tutoring yesterday and it was almost 5:00p.m. when they got home. Since I didn't have much sleep yesterday and I was tired, we went up to Backwoods BBQ and ate supper. Our youngest daughter had her plain cheeseburger with 7 french fries. LOL. That is how many she wanted. It's best that many than too many she can't eat. Our oldest daughter had 2 chicken strips with some tater tots and I had a 2-piece chicken strip plate. I had fries and cole slaw and a piece of texas toast with mine. After we finished eating, we came back home. They got their baths and we just layed around watching t.v. till bedtime.

I actually slept good last night. I remember waking up once around 1:00a.m., but I went back off to sleep. My throat is a little scratchy this morning and my nose feels like it's trying to stop up. And on top of that, my stomach is hurting some, so I'm gonna be miserable the next few days. My DH just called to let me know he is fixing to go to bed. They are in Tucumcari, NM, and about 150-200 miles from Albuquerque. I sure missed him not coming in last night.

Well, guess I'll go for now. My coffee just went off and I'm about to go fix me my first cup this morning. Won't you join me for a cup? Take care my friends and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours. I would like to "THANK" each and everyone for the nice compliments about the new look of my blog yesterday. I really appreciate it very much. I am having fun with it and finding the vintage looking graphics.

LOVE & HUGS,

Could I have some tea, please?? Would be nice to sit and chat, wouldn't it?

Your DH will be 50 miles or so down the road from me when he gets to Henderson. I'd never heard of Henderson, so I Googled them. Seems they're an unincorporated area with a zip code and a post office. Some of their area has been annexed into 3 other Denver area suburbs. He sure does put on the miles! I'll bet you guys don't take many road trips, because he's probably sick and tired of driving once he gets home.

When I look at this world today, I sometimes think God might have to do to us what He did to Sodom and Gomorrah. It is a very sick place indeed.

Mornin' Karen!!! :::banging pots and pans just in case you dozed off at the computer, to keep you awake 'til the coffee kicks in!:::

Sometime today, we're expecting company until the weekend is over, so I will continue to visit, but my comments will be cut shorter than normal 'cause I won't have much 'quiet time' for surfing the blogs 'til the company leaves. I hopefully will be able to blog myself before everyone arises from their sleep, but afterwards, visiting hours will be much close to 'nil'. Maybe. Depends on how long they sleep in.

Hope you'll be feeling better before you hubby arrives home. I got a kick out of the '7 fries' limit. Perhaps that is what I SHOULD do...cut down on the fries. But, boy how I love 'em.

Okay...have a great day dear lady. Be well soon.

Karen, I sure hope you get to feeling better. These viruses are no fun that is for sure. My little girl has croup and a fever so I know how awful all this can be. I will keep you in prayer. I pray also that you get no ice from the system coming through. We got snow this morning.

Have a great day and sending hugs your way. Be safe and God bless.

Karen...on my second cup=). Sorry about hubby, but I know how that works. Thank God mine never drove cross country though. i hated having babies even when he drove nights. I thank God very much that he climbed up in the company and is now District manager. But he still is like a rooster over all these chicks. He has to go out of town and check on all his managers and then go to Houston and meet with the big boys. I will be alone. Not sure what i'll do. watch Idol tonight lol. May do a few crafts. I don't do near what I used to do . Just no time.Hope you have a great day.

Hi Karen,

I hope you're not getting sick. I've been dealing with this congested nose and dizziness for a few days, it's driving me crazy.

I'm on my first cup of coffee but I think I will be heading for the second one soon, or I may just doze off at the computer or while cleaning the toilet which would just be horrible LOL

Hugs and kisses,
Sandra

Good morning, Karen! Any coffee left?

I've had a touch of something for the last couple of days. I ran to the bathroom constantly. Yesterday evening it slowed up some, then started back up this morning. On top of that, I have a bad yeast infection! Oh joy! I've had a lot of acid in my system for some reason.

Josie continues to improve. I talked to my son this morning and he said she rested good last night. Thank the Lord for that! They are both very tired from losing sleep but got some rest last night as well. Thank you so much for your continued prayers.

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Maybe we can both shake this bug soon.

Seven french fries...that's too funny. I'm afraid that wouldn't even get me started!! We could all take a lesson there, huh? I know you're looking forward to hubby coming home but that extra money will sure help out. Dave has been back working a lot, even getting called out before he's rested. Work had slowed way down on the RR and the men were starting to get worried. Now it has broke loose again!!

Okay, I'll hush now since I wrote a book here!

Love ya, girl,
Hope

I guess your girl shared her bug with you. There's so many things going around right now it's almost impossible to stay healthy. Hope it doesn't linger long....

I'm really hoping the ice misses us. Maybe it won't be bad enough that we lose power.

I'm off to take a nap. I'm TARD! ;o)

Hugs,

Diane

I don't know what is going on with my computer, but I have not been able to leave a comment the last couple of days. I even tried at work yesterday on my lunch. Any way, just wanted to pop in and say hello!

You sound very busy and I hope that you feel better soon.

Take care, Sharon

I would love to join you for a cup of coffe, but I don't drink coffee this time of day, lol. You know I'm always late posting and visiting.

Karen, I am sorry you haven't been feeling well. I sure hope you are not coming down with that old flu bug. There is a lot of that going around.

Your weather report is always the same as mine. I don't want ice either. I can always do without that. Now snow, that's a different story.

It's only -1F here right now...I'm getting so tired of those frigid temps...and the snow...come and take it away pleaseeeee! lol

Isn't it wonderful news about Michelle and Josie...prayers are indeed a very powerful healer!

Oh dear, I sure do hope you're not catching that flu your daughter had! Just make sure you get a lot of rest...I found the worst part was feeling so exhausted all the time. Praying that you're feeling better by morning!!

I haven't forgotten about sending you links to great Victorian graphic sites...hopefully I'll find time to do it in the morning:-) Sleep well my friend. xoxo
