Good Friday Mornin' Yall,

I do hope that everyone had a great Thursday and ready to start a new day. It is currently 33 degrees with a windchill of 27 degrees. The winds are out of the North Northwest at 7mph. I don't know if we got anymore freezing rain last night or not. I haven't been up very long and haven't looked out. We had been under a Freezing Rain Advisory until noon yesterday and it was lifted. Later on in the evening, they upgraded us to an Ice Storm Warning until 6:00a.m. It has been lifted now. We did get some freezing rain and drizzle last night before I had gone to bed. It's suppose to be a cloudy day and on the chilly side here today.
I want to let everyone know that my DH and his Uncle made it home safely yesterday around 5:15p.m. I was so very glad to see him. He had called me yesterday afternoon around 2:00p.m. and said they were in West Plains, MO. He said his Uncle had a time driving up in Missouri yesterday. He went thru alot of Ice and when they got home yesterday evening, there was still alot of Ice on their truck. "PRAISE GOD" for another answered prayer. "THANK YOU" all for the prayers you said for their safety. I always appreciate them very much. Today, my DH has to go to Memphis to pick up their Salt Lake City load and then he will come back home. I know that my DH and his Uncle are very good and safe driver's, but it's the other person you have to watch out for. That is the part that worries me so much.
I was in and out of bed most of the day yesterday. Tis that ugly time of the month for me. I have to take my PMS pills about every 4 to 5 hours to keep me from cramping and they tend to make me a little sleepy. I usually have to do this for the first 3 or 4 days. As soon as our insurance kicks in, I'm going to check into having one of those hysterectomies. I may have to wait till Summer to have it done, so the girls will be out of School and my Parents can take care of them. But my DH said we are going to get it done. He hates seeing me so miserable like this each month. I hate being this miserable as well.
The girls had their after School Tutoring yesterday after School. They got home around 4:45p.m. and I told them their Daddy would be home in a little bit. When Daddy did get home the girls told them they wanted to go out to eat since I wasn't feeling good. So, we all loaded up and went up to Backwoods BBQ here in town. The lady that owns the place is always joking around with our girls. Her husband came in there while we were eating and he got to talking about computers. He told my DH that he works on computers and rebuilds them and all that kind of good stuff. Two years ago, my DH had bought him a laptop at Wal-Mart to use in his truck to keep track of his loads and things like that. It quit on him back in the early Fall. When we bought the computer, we had bought one of those extended warranties to go along with it. I have been trying for nearly 2 months now to find out what had to be done about it and trying to get it fixed for him. So, my DH came back to the house and got his laptop and brought it back up to where we were at and him and the guy was talking about what was wrong with it. Anyway, I'm not computer literate and don't understand any of that computer mumbo jumbo, LOL, but he told my DH he could fix it for $75.00. Hubby gave him the go ahead to fix it and when we got home last night he called my hubby and told him he would have it fixed later today. So, my hubby will be glad of that and can take it out with him when he leaves out Sunday morning. My DH also told me that I could buy one of the re-built computers for myself. I was like, WOW. Hubby knows mine is outdated and all and he said we would try to get me one later on, but he told me last night to just buy one from this guy. He has several at his house, so we are planning on going out there sometime on Saturday to look at them. He has a couple that are Window's Vista Basic and Window's Vista Premium. I don't know the first thing about Window's Vista, but I'm sure I can learn and figure it out. All I need a computer for anyway is to get on the internet and check emails and blog. LOL. So, who knows, I may have me a new computer within the next month or so. Yall remember back at the end of December when I said I was going to get a Digital Camera, well we had to put that on the back burner due to our banking problems. Last weekend when me and my DH was gone out to eat, we were talking about the Digital Camera. Our first plan was to get everyone something with those coupons, but hubby told me to just get the camera for right now. The one that I had picked out previously, they were out of them now. So, when we came back home, I got online to see the Digital Camera's again and like i said, they were sold out of the one I had previously wanted. This is the one I will be getting now. It is a Fujifilm FinePix E900 9MP Digital Camera. Here is a litte information on the Digital Camera.

Packing a powerful 9MP Super CCD HR sensorthe highest resolution available in a consumer digital camerathe E900 combines pointandshoot ease and photographic essentials such as image quality, form factor, and powerful feature sets including manual controls. The E900 offers Fujifilm's innovative Real Photo Technology which provides many benefits including faster operation, low noise processing, better low-light shooting, and higher shutter speeds that minimize blurriness in photos at even the highest ISO setting of 800 and in full resolution. In addition to a convenient ergonomic travelfriendly design, the E900 offers a large 2inch LCD screen. A mode dial provides easy access to advanced shooting modes and a 4x optical zoom allows the user to tailor each shot to their needs. The Fuji FinePix E900 Digital Camera is the right choice for photo enthusiasts who want digital SLR quality, in a compact point-and-shoot body. Designed for the serious digital photograph AND the aspiring enthusiast, the FinePix E900 takes digital photography to a higher level. Its advanced Real Photo Technology combines advanced processing, better sensitivity and speed, and a new Fujinon lens, for beautiful photos that mirror what your eyes will see. The builtin AntiBlur program suppresses any blurring from a shaky camera, while the High Speed Shooting Mode means you always get the shot, no matter how fast the subject is moving.
It is the next to the top of the line that the Flying J Store had. So, I had to wait till Tuesday to send off for it since the Post Office was closed on Monday. It only costed me $9.45 plus the postage of course. So, I don't think that's too bad of a deal. I don't know much about these high-tech camera's, but I'm sure I will learn tho. I just need it to take pictures and upload them to my computer and have some better pictures for my blog. Also, the guy that I'm going to buy my computer from said he would install the software from the Camera for me. I'm hoping to have my new Camera in a couple of weeks. It had to be mailed somewhere in Utah, so since I mailed it off Tuesday, it should be here withing a couple of weeks. I am really excited about getting this new Camera. My DH done and told me that I could carry the Camera everywhere with me so I can share pictures with everyone. LOL. He does know me well and he knows how I enjoy blogging. I LOVE YOU my DH and "THANK YOU" so much for what you do for me and the girls. Well, guess that's about all for this Friday. I don't think I will be posting anymore until Sunday. I will be in and out of bed today and tomorrow for the most part. When I'm not in bed, I will be enjoying my time with my DH. We don't have anything planned for this weekend. We will probably sit around and watch t.v. or maybe even rent some movies. I apologize for not getting around to visit everyone yesterday, but I was so miserable. I'll try my best to get around to everyone today if I feel like it. I will be checking in with everyone at some point this weekend, but my new post won't be until probably Sunday. Take care my friends and have a great day/weekend. May God Bless You and Yours.

Karen,

Sorry you've been in so much pain, can I suggest you look into something???

I used to have HORRIBLE cramping and really long cycles, after Nicholas was born I put in a Mirena IUD, it stays in for 5 years and it's wonderful. After the first year I stopped getting my cycle, I no longer have cramping, nothing. I just love it.

Maybe try that before you consider the whole histerectomy, which is a huge surgery. Just an opinion of mine obviously LOL

Hope you have a great day today.

Hugs and kisses,
Sandra

Karen, I hope you feel better. I used to get horrible cramping and bled around 21-24 days each month.

Great news about the camera and computer! You and DH were very fortunate to find someone who could fix the laptop for such a reasonable price and also sells rebuilt computers. I don't know anything about Vista. I could update my computer (I have the CD) but I'm sticking with XP for now.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Good Morning Karen, Sorry to hear you are having problems. Go to a good Dr. and asking many, many questions. There maybe a simpler procedure that will take care of the problem. I will pray. So glad Hubby and Uncle made it home safe. I can not believe all this weather. Take care and will talk to you again soon.

Love and Hugs,
Joyce

Hi Karen,
So sorry to hear you're in pain again.
Your new camera sounds like something you'll truly enjoy and I know we'll love seeing pictures of the area in which you live. I think that's one of the more enjoyable things about blogging!
Hope you have a restful and pain free weekend.

Praise God your hubby and uncle are home safe! How wonderful that someone could help with his laptop - that's so sweet! Computer problems can be so hard if you haven't got the know how - I haven't, but my hubby has, and I'm so grateful!
Don't worry about stopping by - I know how you're feeling! Take care, dear friend, and get lots of rest!
God bless your weekend -
Chrissie

Karen, you sound as if you've really been in a lot of pain. Have you tried taking Evening Primrose Oil tablets. They're supposed to help balance out the hormones etc. Your new camera sounds wonderful. I have a Fuji, and I love it. Not as many pixels as yours, and my pictures sometimes come out amazingly well, so with 9 mp's and all the other features you should be taking really good photos very shortly. I bet you can't wait. Check out what other people have said about Vista before you decide to use it. I seem to remember reading that it had some teething problems, but they may all have been fixed by now. I'm like Lynn, I'm happy to stick with XP. Have a happy weekend and get lots of rest while you're DH is around to spoil you.

Hello dear Karen:-)

I'm so sorry I didn't have a chance to come visiting and have a cup of coffee with you yesterday...was just busy doing other things that needed doing around the house and then last night we had company from 7 to 11:30 p.m. so I didn't get at the computer at all. Today has been another busy day but now I'm free to visit to my heart's content:-)

It's 23F here at the moment and it was a sunny day so that's better than it has been lately! I took more pictures outside today which I'll post tomorrow...you'll see how much snow we still have here. lol

I can well imagine how relieved you are every time your hubby and uncle arrive home safely. This is such a treacherous time of year, never know what you're going to get weather wise from one area to another.

No fun having such severe PMS. I never thought I'd say this but I'm actually looking forward to menopause when I don't have them anymore! lol I do hope you feel much better now.

Ooooh a new computer and digital camera coming soon...how exciting for you:-) My computer is over 7 years old now so I'm saving my money to buy myself a new one...hopefully in the next year or so! You'll love the digital camera and it won't take you long to learn how to use it...I now look forward to seeing all kinds of pictures posted on your blog:-)

Have a wonderful weekend with your family, my dear friend. xoxo

Ouch Karen, I am so sorry that you are in pain right now.

I am so glad that your DH made it home safely, I pray for his safety every day. Truckers have it so hard during the winter.

Love your new camera. It looks like a good one.

Take care. God bless.

Hi Karen,

Look at all the pretty roses over here!

Those crazy drivers out there are exactly why I no longer drive - I have complete confidence in my own driving ability, but I've known too many innocent people killed by crazy, careless drivers and it just scares me half to death.

I had a hysterectomy when I was only thirty-six. I had the exact problems you're having and it started interfering in every aspect of my life. I was so anemic, I could barely function. Best thing I ever did, so I hope this option is open for you.

You'll feel like a new woman.

Hi Karen,

I'm sorry you are still not feeling well. It's late here, so I hope you are feeling much better by the time you read this.

I took a break from blogging today, so I didn't even post. I am sure I will post tomorrow.

You're going to be all fixed up with a new digital camera and a new computer. You won't know how to act, lol.

I'm like Hope in that I like the "dividers" you have been using lately. I, too, would like to know your source if you don't mind sharing.

Love ya,
Betty

How exciting!!!! A new camera!!! Way cool. [again, I can't be too gabby in my comments because of company --in a way, I'll be glad to see them go, but it's been so much fun too. I'm tired] LOL Anyway, I am going to send you an email. I wanted to tell you something, but didn't want to put it on the comment section. So, look for me in your mail inbox.

Glad to hear everything with hubby arriving home safely and the weather not being too bad once he's home with you. And the PMS thingie!?!! Yep, that was me too. I WANTED a hysterectomy!!! Just to ease the pain. I could not get out of bed, literally because of it. And I had two kids, naturally, so it's not that I'm intolerant of pain.

Glad your DH got home OK.
Boy, it sounds like you are getting fixed up with lots of new equipment. You'll be doing flips when you can take lots of nice pics and load them onto a new computer. Whooo hooo!

Sure hope you're feeling better by now, Karen. I don't miss that mess at all!! That tells you I'm over the hill. haha

You're going to love your new camera. Mine is also a Fuji, but like Dabrah it doesn't have as many pixels as yours will have. Good luck also with the new computer. Hope you all are enjoying the weekend!!

The best decision I ever made was my hysterectomy in 1999. They were able to leave my ovaries so the only side effects I had was NO more painful weeks of misery every month.

A bit of advice, Avoid Vista if possible unless the computers come with at least 2mgs of RAM. Vista just doesn't operate correctly if there isn't enough RAM to run it properly.

Hope you're feeling better soon!
