TUESDAY THIS & THAT'S

Girly Comments & Graphics

Good Tuesday Mornin' Yall,
I hope that everyone had a great Monday and ready to start a new day. It is currently 55 degrees with a windchill of 49 degrees. Nope, that's not a type up there, LOL. That's the actual temperature here now. The winds are currently out of the South at 23mph with gusts up to 33mph. Yesterday was a cloudy and windy day. It made it up to 52 degrees, but with the wind blowing the way it was, made it feel quite a bit cooler. It's suppose to be windy today as well. We are under a Wind Advisory for today. We have some rain in the forecast for today as well. Heck, if these temperatures keep going up, I may have to break out the Bikini. NOT!!!! LOL. Don't worry, I still have my heat on. I haven't turned the A/C on yet. LOL. Who knows what later today will be like tho.

Today is my friend, Brandy@ http://mommysquietspot.blogspot.com/, Birthday. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" Brandy. Brandy recently won Mary's Giveaway. If you have time, please go visit Brandy and wish her a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY". I'm not sure how old she is, but she is still a young one. Alot younger than me. LOL.
"THANK YOU" all for the prayers for my DH and his Uncle yesterday. He called me yesterday afternoon around 5:00p.m. He said they were finally leaving Salt Lake City, UT. He said they finally opened up I-80 yesterday morning around 11:00a.m. He said his Uncle still had to drive on Ice and Snow just to get there. He took his time. They were heading down to North Las Vegas for their second stop. My DH called me back last night and said that on I-15, it was pretty tough as well. He said he was driving slow and taking it easy. He called me back around Midnight, and said that after he had went over the Mountain at Hurricane, UT, the roads were clear. He was like 120 miles from North Las Vegas. The place wouldn't be open up until this morning, so when he got there, he was going to shut down and go back to sleep until they opened up. He said he would call me back this morning when they start unloading. So, they won't be home late tonight like they have been a being. They will have to go straight to Memphis and then head up North. Hopefully, if the weather co-operates, they will be home sometime Friday. "THANK YOU" all again for your prayers that you have said for my DH and his Uncle.
I finally did some laundry yesterday afternoon. I was in and out of bed most of the day. I did 2 loads of laundry, so maybe I won't have to do anymore for a few days. For supper last night, I went over to the store and bought a couple of Pizza's to heat up for me and the girls. I got the girls a Pepperoniz Pizza and I got me a Garlic-Chicken Pizza. It was really good and had a very thin crust on it. That was the first time I had ever had one of those kind of Pizza's before. There were a fer pieces left from both kinds of Pizza, so we may just have that and some Hot Dogs for our supper tonight.
I was recently presented with some more Awards. I'm not doing the Red Carpet thing today.

Mary@ http://maryswritingnook.blogspot.com/ and Nan@ http://onmyporch.blogspot.com/ both present me with the "YOU CHEER ME UP AWARD". "THANK YOU" so much Mary and Nan for such a beautiful Award. I really love this Award because I Love Lucy. I could sit and watch Lucy re-runs over and over.
Shari@ http://thedailythree.blogspot.com/ presented me with "THE BLESSING'S AWARD". "THANK YOU" so much Shari for passing this beautiful Award on to me. Shari has given me a blessing and here is what she said about this Blessing Award.

The blessing is as follows:The idea…it’s a game of tag with a difference, rather than looking inwardly, we look outside ourselves and bless, praise and pray for 3 blog friends. By participating in this endeavour we not only make the recipient of the blessing feel valued and appreciated, but we are having some fun too. We’re going to see how far the bloggin’ blessings can travel around the world and how many people can be blessed! Recipients of a bloggin’ blessing may upload the above image to their sidebar if they choose to. If you receive a bloggin’ blessin’ please leave a comment on this thread here so that we can rejoice in just how many blessings have been sent around the world.

Now, I am to pass this Award on to 3 ladies. This is so hard to do, because I don't like to give to a certain number. Here are the ladies that I will be passing this Award on to.

Joyce@ http://joyce-creationinprogress.blogspot.com/

Mary@ http://maryswritingnook.blogspot.com/

Carolyn@ http://talktograms.blogspot.com/

I wish I could have given this beautiful Blessing Award to everyone, but I do want each and everyone of you to know that I consider you Blessed. You Bless me each day that I visit you by sharing your daily lives with me.

I still have 3 more Meme's to do this week. So, I will be working on them and sharing them later on this week.

Karen,

I am glad that DH and his uncle got through that mess safely. God is good, isn't he?

Sorry you aren't feeling well. There's a nasty bug going around up here as well. The boys have been home two days with it and Brandon sounds bad. I talked to him for a minute this morning.

I LOVE the blessing award and feel so blessed that you would present me with it. Thank you so much. I will place it on my sidebar and pass it on to three people. That's going to be difficult because so many need blessings these days.

Take care, Karen. I will continue to pray for your and your family and thanks also for letting us know about the giveaways.

Blessings,
Mary

Hello dearest Karen:-)

Guess what...I have time to be a regular blogger again! lol I've so missed visiting all of you....and having some coffee with you every morning! We had freezing rain and wicked winds overnight but now it's turned very mild. Our second thaw in January!! The snow on the roads are turning to slush so it makes it very hard to drive.

I'm so glad to hear that your hubby and his uncle are safe. It must be so worrying when they're on the road like that, especially in the winter time. You just never know what kind of weather you'll hit.

Congratulations on the well deserved awards:-) I need to get on my Corel Print Shop program and try to make an award that I can give out! hehe

Thank you so much for the heads up on the Valentine Giveaway that Holly and Katie are having...thank you also for advertising mine:-)

I loved your red carpet affair you had a few posts down...you looked absolutely MAH-VEL-LOUS dahlink!! hehe

I have a hundred other bloggers to visit...yikes...so I'd better get going! lol Love ya bunches!! xoxo

Hello...hello....hello!! Knock knock. Anybody here? There seems to be an echo. Guess I'm the only one.

I am behind in my visiting friends today. Just finished painting the room and it looks good, and I'm calling it job accomplished!!! I started this project of interior painting last year and quit when the heart started acting funny on me. So, it's slow getting done. Now I can relax.

Good news about your menfolk. Always nice to read good news...and I'm glad they're safe from the stormy icy highways.

Have a good evening Karen!!! [It's 81 degrees here right now and a quarter 'til 6]

Good evening Karen. I am so glad that your sweetie and uncle made it through the snow. It is still plenty cold up here in Saskatchewan. The wind chill this morning made the -38 C feel like -54 C. Many of the children were not at school this morning. A few more got there in the afternoon. Stay warm and thanks for visiting.

Good evening, Karen. I'm just getting around to visiting after a hairy couple of days at work. It is pouring down rain here with some lightning. I guess snow is on the way for tomorrow or Thursday.
Glad your DH is getting around OK.
Hugs to you and the girls.

Good evening, Karen,

Whew, what a day today turned out to be. First, it go up to 70 degrees and was nice, but then the wind started blowing and blowing, and it got strong, like 70 miles an hour, and things flew--tree limbs down everywhere, our power went out, and it started to get cold. Well, at least we didn't get any tornadoes! Our power was restored a couple of hours later, thank the Lord, 'cause I don't like to be in the dark! And other then tree limbs down, we didn't have any other damage.

Did you get some of that wind by you? A friend just emailed me that they had a lot of damage to their house and a flooded basement, too, and they live 15 miles from me.

I hope you and the girls are okay, and weren't affected by this strange storm.

I'm glad your DH and Uncle are making it okay on the slick and snowy roads, and before I forget, congratulations on your well deserved, lovely awards.

Have a good night, and God bless. I can't wait until I hear from you that you are all okay over there.

Blessinsg and Love,

Renie

Good evening Ms. Karen (well, it's nearly bedtime for me, haha). I wanted to thank you for asking about my grandson. He's doing really well with his knee; it's just difficult for him to do things on his own considering the crutches he'll be on for quite some time. I was out there today, and he asked me to make him a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, and he said he'd like 6 pieces of bacon on the side. What? HaHa He's a growing boy, what can I say?

Keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers. :)
