PHRIDAY'S PHAVORITE PHOTO PHUN!!!!

Good Friday Mornin' Yall
I hope that everyone had a great Thursday and ready to start a new day. It is cold here again this morning. It is 27 degrees with a windchill of 19 degrees. It's not as cold as it has been a being, but it's still cold. It only made it up to 31 degrees here yesterday. They were predicting a high of 35-38 degrees. They say a warm up is on the way for this weekend, but we will have to wait and see. LOL. They say that the high's to day is suppose to get up into the 40's as well and then rain moving in by Saturday night or Sunday.

Well, yall are probably wondering about this picture above and the Title to my post today. Anni@Hootin'Annis's is Hosting this new "Phriday's Phavorite Photo Phun". If you would like to join in the fun, go and visit Anni and sign the Mr. Linky and leave a post. She has all the details over there on her today's post.

This Phriday's Phavorite Photo Phun I would like to share with you is a picture of our girls. They are on a ride called "The Moby Dick". It was taken at our local County Fair back in September of last year. Our oldest Daughter is the 3rd one from the left and our youngest Daughter is on the right side of our oldest Daughter. They loved this ride and I don't know how many times they rode it. It was Arm Band Day at the County Fair and my Dad had bought them both an Arm Band. So, as long as the girl's are happy, Momma is happy. They always say, "If Momma Ain't Happy, Ain't Nobody Happy". LOL. I love that saying. My DH tells that to everyone. I hope you enjoyed my Phriday's Phavorite Photo Phun.

I would like to mention about another Gift Away. Deena@CanIBePrettyInPink is hosting this Gift Away for Valentine's. The Gift Away opened today and the winners will be announced on January 30, 2008. The winners will receive a beautiful banner with their blog name on it courtesy of Mary@Isabell'sCloset. Mary did this banner that I have displayed here. All you have to do is post a Love Story on Deena's comment box and you will be entered into the Gift Away. If you would like to participate, please go over and visit Deena@CanIBePrettyInPink. Deena is a sweet and wonderful lady. I really enjoy visiting her. I haven't known her very long, but I do love to visit her. She has recently had Breast Surgery and she is a Survivor. I would appreciate yall going and visiting Deena when you have the time.

The girls did fine going back to School yesterday. They did have some homework, but not a whole lot. Our oldest Daughter had Basketball Practice last night. She has a game this coming Saturday morning. Our youngest Daughter has to Cheer at 3 Boys Basketball Games here in town this Saturday morning. Then, that afternoon, they are invited to one of their cousin's Birthday Party in Jonesboro, AR. It's going to be a busy Saturday around here.

Hubby is still in the Orientation Process of his new job. The Company he is working for has been putting DH and his Uncle up in a Hotel the last couple of nights. My DH did call me yesterday to let me know that the Company had a Dedicated Run that they could have. It is a United Stated Dedicated Run. They would have to leave out sometime on a Sunday and then be back home sometime on Friday. "PRAISE GOD" for that prayer being answered. They were also told that they had to be flexible and do a run to Canada when someone couldn't do it. DH and his Uncle said that would be okay. In fact, they will be leaving this Saturday going to Fredrickton, Canada. They have to have the load there by Monday Morning. They have done this run before when they were both Team Driving with this Company. In fact, my DH and his Uncle were the first ones to do all the Canada runs for this Company. They went to all the places in Canada and let the company know which Highways to go on. I guess you could say they scoped it out for the Company. I am just so happy and "THANKFUL" that they are able to get the United States Dedicated Run. They will have to talk to a Driver Manager today about it and all. I sure do miss DH being home at nights. Last night when me and the girls went to bed, our youngest Daughter made the remark that she missed her Daddy. I told her, I know, I miss him too. It's going to take some time for all of us to get used to. We can do it because we have done it before

Well, I guess that is about all for this Friday. I am going to drink my coffee and go visiting a bit. I have to call DH at 6:00a.m. and wake him up and then I am going to fix the girls some Oatmeal for their Breakfast. I fixed them some yesterday morning also. Yall take care and have a great Friday. May God Bless Each and Everyone of You.

LOVE & HUGS,

I love the photo for phriday Karen!! Good grief...not only the name "Moby Dick" but the bars and such makes me think it's a 'monster' of a ride!! Ahhhhhhhh, to be young again. Love the fact that if mamma isn't happy nobody's happy. Truer words have never been spoken. Mine just says PMSing again, huh? rofl [I haven't had p m s for decades, but he still uses that when I start chewing some butt]

Y'know I think it would be a whole lotta fun driving a truck across country! I bet y'all see some fantastic places that no 'ordinary' vacationer would see!!

Hope your day treats you well...thanks for playing along, hope to see you again next week with a phriday photo too!! [the spell checker keeps telling me that my PRHIDAY is not spelled correctly, well......duh!!]

Oatmeal? Yum, yum, yummy!!!

well shoot...here I tried to be witty and tellin' ya that my PHRIDAY is having a spell checker moment and I can't even spell the misspelling correctly. Go figure.

That must have been a whale of a ride. Surprised that "photo" wasn't changed to "foto" and then all the "fs" would be there. It's fun to twist words we know into something different.

Getting back into the school routine again. Kourtni didn't have homework. With it being such a short week, I really don't think she will get any this week at all.

Glad things are going good for your DH. I hope he has long, safe runs with this new-old company. It must be hard to have him gone so long. I remember that with my ex. Mostly, he was only gone two nights a week, but always got up early to leave. Well, take care and God bless.

Good Morning Karen!
It was 15 degress this morning with a high today of 34. They are telling us that warmer weather is coming this weekend.

I like your photo for today. Looks real scarry to me...but I know the girls loved it.

I am glad that they had a good day back at school. Next week they will be back into their routine again.

Hopefully, DH will get home for the weekend. I know it is so hard on you and the girls without DH home many nights. It is something I'm sure that you three will adjust to over time...and cheerish every moment that you have with him when he is home.

I'm having my coffee this morning too...FYI...Harvey got his report from the small intestine test and it was all good. The plan is now to schedule the biopsy of the tumor...they will call Debra today with the date of the surgery. Perhaps when they go in for the tumor they will find where the origin of the cancer is lurking.

Have a wonderful weekend filled with lots of love and laughter!

Good Morning Karen (well almost afternoon!)
I know, I'm late for coffee as usual! I need to get back in the groove of my work routine even if I'm not working. I guess I'll have to start getting you to call and wake me when you call hubby!! lol

I enjoyed the Phriday Photo of the girl on that ride. I can't do rides anymore and sometimes it makes me nauseous just watching rides!! I'm soooo old!! lol

I hope you are doing better today and have a good Friday!

Hugs,
Hope

Good morning, Karen. (Barely - it's almost noon!)It's 40ยบ as I type this and windy outside, so I don't know if it's going to make it much farther into the 40's for today. I've got my coffee here drinking it and it sure does taste good and feel good in my cold hands!

I know you probably didn't even notice it, but if you'll look at your purple banner it's hanging off just a hair on the right side. See it? That's what all my headers are doing, no matter how wide I make them. It's not really all that big a deal to anyone else I'm sure, but it bugs me. I'm just too OCD and kind of a perfectionist when it comes to that kind of thing, LOL!

My friend Lynne left me a comment that she's been having the very same problem with using the same header she used before but this time it was hanging off on the right side. She said she fiddled with hers forever before she finally got it right.

The code to make a link to a button in your sidebar is kind of complicated and hard to explain how to change it and install it. I'll either have to talk you through it over the phone or maybe do it for you. It's just almost over my head, and like I said, I had to ask for help from another blogger buddy. If you decide you want to try it or for me to do one for you, let me know and we'll see if we can get you fixed up.

Have a great Friday and weekend! ;o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

I hope you win the banner. That would be awesome.

I've had a busy day, that's why I'm late getting around. At least it was warmer for my running around.

Have a great evening!

Good evening, Karen,

Well, it warmed up a little around here, but that wind was still cold! Tomorrow will be warmer, but it's also going to rain, so we can't enjoy it too much. :-)

I love the picture of the girls on the ride. And I hope your husband has a great run, although I know you and the girls will miss him.

Have a good weekend, my friend. I plan on having a good one.

Stay well and happy, and God bless!

Hi Karen,

I got a late start today posting. I did the Friday Show and Tell, but I got mixed up on who was doing the hosting for today. I thought it was Kelli who was hosting, so I put a comment on her blog instead of on Anni's. Oh well, that's good for me, as I'm still getting confused on a lot of things in the here blogging world, tee hee!!

I hope you have a good weekend, Karen. I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.

Hugs,
Betty

Good evening dear Karen:-)

I've just finished eating my dinner...a Caesar salad so I hope my garlic breath doesn't bother you! lol I was just at the grocery store to pick up a few things and noticed how much milder it is out there compared to the last couple of days. Glad that frigid front didn't last very long!!

Love that picture of your girls on that Moby Dick ride...I use to love going on all those types of rides when I was younger but now I prefer to just watch! lol I have problems with vertigo so any ride like that would probably get me dizzy. Ugh!

I keep forgetting that Valentine's Day is next month....I'm sure we'll be seeing quite a few giveaways for then:-)

Hey, if your hubby does a run to Ontario, hop on with him and come visit me!! hehe I can well imagine how much you're missing him...but just know that we're all here for you and we'll help you through the days until he gets home again:-) You'll have to email me your phone number so that I can call you!!

Take good care of yourself and stay warm!! xoxox

It's a big responsibility that you hold in by having to keep the home fires burning while your man is out on the road. But I guess it's a big responsibility for him to make sure he earns a living for his family too. We do what we have to do but sometimes it sure is hard isn't it?
Safe travels Karen's DH!

Karen,

Just dropped in to say hi and to see how your hubby was making out with his new job. I will catch up when I get home. I did post a couple of shorts so people would know what I've been doing besides freezing. LOL Was warmer yesterday and should be warmer today.

Love and blessings,
