MONDAY MUST-HAVE'S

Good Monday Mornin' Yall,
I hope that everyone had a Blessed Sunday and ready to start a new day. It is currently 64 degrees here at 3:35a.m. and it is very windy outside as well. The winds are blowing out of the South at 18 miles an hour with gusts up to 24 miles an hour. I can hear the wind howling as I'm sitting here at my computer desk typing. It's suppose to get up to 70 degrees today. It did make it up to 70 degrees yesterday and was windy and we were under a Wind Advisory. Some Severe Thunderstorms are forecast for tonight and into tomorrow. I have been reading our local weather guy's blog, and it is looking like it could be an active night tonight. It's just too warm for January. I pray it doesn't because I don't have a Storm Cellar to go to anymore. The house we live in now, doesn't have one. Anyway, yesterday I had to turn my Air-Conditioner on. LOL. Yeap, I sure did. For the last couple of weeks I have been doing nothing but freezing. Yesterday I got up and I was burning up. I must be having some kind of "Power Surges" as they call them. LOL
I was out visiting last night before I went to bed and then this morning when I got up I got on the computer here and noticed in my comment section that I had 3 Awards waiting for me. It is called "The Daily Dose Award". I received it from Grams, Denise, and Hope.

This award and it's originator are special. I always love to find out where something comes from and why. What is the heart and soul behind it. So, I am glad that I can give you the information to go back and read. It's not just about who's who but about passing the torch of love."So here's to all the blogs that you've discovered that you can't possibly live without. They make you laugh, cry, think and feel connected every time you read a post. They give you a thrill as you see them loading into your browser and you get an equally satisfying thrill when you see that they have commented on your blog".From Xandra: creator, The Daily Dose Award This will be hard to do because there are many that touch me in some way. And by not including you, that doesn't mean that you don't touch my life in some way. But here we go. "THANK YOU" so much for this Award Grams, Denise, and Hope. I am so honored that you chose me for this Award. I will now pass this along as you 3 have done.

1. Diane@Diane'sPlace - I have to read Dian'es blog everyday since she lives close to me and see what she is cooking for that particular day or her Sunday Dinner Menu.

2. Dabrah@FickleMuse - I have to read her blog because she lives in the UK and I want to know about different area's of the World.

3. LeeAnn@GentleOutsider - I have to read her blog because she is a down to earth person and has just been Blessed with 2 precious Twin Grandaughters.

4. Nan@OnMyPorch - I have to read her blog daily because she is always in a happy mood and you will leave with a smile on your face.

5. Anni@Hootin'Anni's - I have to visit Anni because if I'm down and out, she will have something on her post that will make you leave feeling all better and with a smile on your face. She is very comical as well.

6. Renie@RenieBurghardt'sWorld - She is a writer and shares alot of her stories and poems with us. They are really good to read.

7. Angela@LifeAndTimesofGran - I have to visit her place because she is such an inspiration and uplifting person. She has a wonderful aspect on life.

8. Joyce@CreationinProgress - I have to go see Joyce because she is a Christian lady who always has something to share from the Bible.

9. Robin@BitterSweetPunkin - I have to see Robin because she is such a wonderful and caring person and you will leave with a smile on your face as well.

10. Dawn@CallMeGrandmaDawn - I have to visit Dawn because she is always sharing with us about her trips to different places and sharing pictures with us as well.

Now, I want you all to know that I love each and everyone of you and have to visit each and everyone of you, so don't think I don't love your place because I do.

I would like to share something with you all. I was visiting my friend, Dabrah@FickleMuse and she shared a website that you can go to play a game and they will donate rice to the United Nations World Food Program. I went to this website yesterday and played and was able to donate 1,000 grams of rice so far. http://www.freerice.com/index.php. It is a fun game to play, and I love to be able to help someone out in time of need. If you have time, go to the website and play to help donate free rice.

I did laundry yesterday. I had to wash up all the girl's things that were dirty so they would have it ready for this week. I don't have any washing to do today, "PRAISE THE LORD"!!!! The girls cleaned their rooms as well and they took out the trash also. I washed up some dishes and got those put away. For our supper, the girl's had a Lunchable and I had a couple of small pieces of Smoked Sausage on some bread and had some Chips to go with it. My MIL did come over for a while yesterday afternoon and I used the rest of her film to take pictures of our Christmas Tree and my Villages. She wanted some pictures of our tree because she thought it was so beautiful this year. I will begin to take it down this week.

My DH called me last night about 9:10p.m. and said he was about half-way thru the State of Maine. He said there was alot of Snow up there but the roads had been cleared. I'm "THANKFUL" for that. They have to have the load up in Fredrickton, Canada at 5:00a.m. our time and it would be 7:00a.m. their time. From there they will go over to Ontario, I think, and come out at Windsor, Michigan and back to the States. He told me last night he would call me this morning. We have the Pre-Paid Cell Phones and the last time he was up in Canada, and he called me, it took up alot of his minutes. I have it set up where it only cost's 5 cents more to call. Hopefully he will be able to call me this morning. We usually talk several time a day with each other. Well, it's actually nights now since he is driving the night shift. I can't stand it if I'm not able to talk to him.

I would like to mention another Giveaway. This one is over at Judy@FabricArts&Crafts. Here is what Judy said: In a lovely Anna Griffin folder I have packed three red blank cards and envelopes and a selection of black, white and red beads, buttons, ribbons and trims. As I go through my private stash of embellishments, I keep adding more goodies, so it should provide a good start for the winners' valentine card or collage making experience!! There will be 2 winners. She will pick a Winner at Midnight this Wednesday.

Be sure to go and see Judy and put your name in the post to win this beautiful assortment of things she has. When you do go and see her and sign up, be sure to let Judy know who sent you. She has all the details on her blog.

Well, guess I will go for now. I am about to finish my first cup of coffee. I am ready for a refill. I have plenty for you, so don't worry about me not having any coffee. Take care my friends and God Bless Each and Everyone of You.

LOVE & HUGS,

G'day my friend! First off, yep.....done here in my neck of the woods, 50° is cold. The humidity, being right on the gulf coast, and the cold winds coming in off the water, in our area makes 50 feel like 30 in your bones...the winds'll cut you a new one if you know what I mean!!! And to think, I grew up in the mountains of Colorado where the winter nights could get in the MINUS twenties or more! LOL ---I'm a wimp now for sure.

Okay, now that THAT is out of the way...

Golly, I'm honored!!! That is just so great that you think of me and your award being passed on to me makes my day! Don't forget, you're a special lady too! I cherish our newfound friendship and love visiting back and forth. I wouldn't miss a day without Karen...you're great. Thanks for the award. I'll get it posted in the morning.

UGH!! I have huge plans of cleaning out closets today. Pooooooo, I hate that job. Maybe while cleaning out the hall closet I will find a game or two that the two of us could do instead. LOL

It will be a very busy day. I will work for awhile, then head over to the hospital to scrub up and head into the operating room. This will be a new experience!

I hope you don't have severe storms - Al Gore would have us believe this is because of global warming, but I have zero faith in Al!

Thanks for the lovely award. I appreciate you including me in your "must reads" and hope that someday I can get back to my story of our trip. There is so much more to tell, and no time to do it! I really have to go back there in my mind a lot here lately!

Congrats on the award. So many people to visit. Will have to come back and do that later.

Sorry I have been so busy the last few days. I only had enough time to just get my post in. Yesterday took some time to gather the recap for both blogs.

Hope the storm isn't as severe.

Take care and God bless.

I've just come back from running some errands and it's so foggy out there, it's hard to see up the road! The snow is starting to melt, I could even see grass in some spots. This is VERY unusual for us at this time of year. As I was browsing in the thrift shop, I heard over the radio that they're forecasting thunderstorms tonight...now that's something we don't see here in January!!!

Congratulations on your award dear friend:-) I get so thrilled for you when I see how much the others also love you as much as I do!!! I've also received it from a few friends and will post it tomorrow. Isn't blogging just soooo much fun?:-)

My house is clean, the laundry is done, I don't have any baking to do and for dinner I took out some of my spaghetti sauce I had made and frozen so it's another lazy day for me! lol All I'll have to do tonight for dinner is boil the spaghetti, make a salad and garlic bread:-)

Continued prayers that your hubby and uncle stay safe on the road. Hopefully the weather will continue to be mild and they won't hit any snowstorms.

Hope your day is a great one:-) Lots of love to you. xoxo

Hi Karen, I hope your New Year is blessed ! Sounds like it's been busy so far. Mine has to. We have been having some spring like weather as well here in Texas. Most likely will make everyone sick, from being so cold and then a big change to warmer weather. God bless and thanks for coming to see me so faithfully, and my Mom to. She thinks a lot of you and loves to get comments from you.

Blessings,Shelley

Thank you so much for the award, my friend! I do appreciate and I'll acknowledge it on my next post and add it to my awards page.

I've got to get off this computer and get ready to go to the Dr's office! I only have about 15 minutes before my mother in law will be here to pick me up at 1:15.

Have a good day and be watchful for the storms. Ugh!

Love and hugs,

It is 65º here this afternoon and are my sinus's in a tizzy! Hey at least I'm saving on my bills by turning off my heat. Shhhh don't say the word "air conditioner" too loud or my Hubby will be wanting to turn it on.
Ain't this old world crazy??

My laundry is caught up too! Doin' a happy dance...well for a spell at least ;)

Have a great day and congratulations to you and all the bloggers you chose!

I'm behind in everything... We are having a wonderful spring/summer day here. Everytime I see a big truck on the road now, I think of you and your husband. My sister's husband drove a truck for years. Retired now!!

Two new baby goats born this afternoon. Now we have eight babies, well actually nine... a neighbor brought one over that he didn't want to bottle feed.

I feel like the rabbit in Alice and Wonderland... I'm late, I'm late... I'll get caught up one of these days!!

Good evening, Karen,

You had quite a busy Sunday, as I did, and a busy Monday as well. Yes, storms are in the forecast for later tonight, and I am praying that they're not severe! I have a basement, but would rather not be spending any time down there. If you lived closer, you and the girls could come and wait out the storm in my basement, with me. Right now, things are quiet, except for some wind.

Karen, first, congratulations on the award and thank you so much for including me in this beautiful Daily Dose award. You certainly deserve it, but I'm not sure I do. However, I am thankful that you thought to include me. You are a dear!

I will go and play the game to donate the rice. What a wonderful idea. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Have a lovely evening, and stay safe, if the storms materialize.

Love and Hugs,

Renie

Hi Karen,

I hope you have had a good day today.

We sure are having unusual weather, aren't we? You and I seem to have about the same weather each day. One day it is freezing cold and the next it's in the 50's. It's enough to make us all sick. I sure hope you don't have any bad weather tonight.

I made honorable mention of you on my blog today. I hope you will check it out.

Have a good week, Karen.

Congratulations!! You are very deserving of this award!

Karen,
Congratulations on the award and thank you so much for passing it on to me. I'm truly honored. I am still a little gun-shy with this blogging thing. I am not a terribly exciting person but I enjoy sharing my thoughts and hope be "bolder" as I go on!
I was watching the weather channel a bit ago and see that there may be storms close to you so I am praying you are spared any bad weather. Sam and I lived in Missouri once for a very short period of time and were smack dab in the middle of a stormy night like no other I've experienced. There were four tornadoes touching down all around us and for those that know me, that is my big fear in life. I was hunkered down in the bathtub with the radio playing, my dog and cats with me, and Sam holding my hand trying to calm my hyperventilating self. The warning sirens about drove me out of my mind. This went on for over 4 hours that Sunday night long ago and I'll never forget it. I hope you are all safe.
Thank you again for your faithful friendship.

Hi Karen, isn't it just the best feeling in the world when ALL of the laundry is done for the whole day. I love it. Laundry is one of my least favorite choirs. That and dishes, I feel like that is all I ever get done. I would love to be added to your blogroll! I will add you to mine as well. I love my morning coffee as well, but I am sure you get up long before I do. I am usually up around 6:30 but i will stop by when I wake from my sleepy slumber and sit a while. Talk to you again soon!
