THANKFUL THURSDAY & THURSDAY THIS & THAT'S

Good Thursday Mornin' Yall,
I do hope that everyone has had a great past few days and ready to start a new day. First off, I would like to "THANK" each and everyone of you that has left a comment being concerned about me. I am okay. What had happened was that our Cable & Internet Bill was due and since DH had started a new job, I didn't have the money to pay it. I had called the Cable Company and asked to pay it this Friday. The lady I talked to said it would be okay to pay it this Friday. Later on in the day, I was going to get on the Computer and I noticed I didn't have any service. I called the Cable Company back and talked to the same lady and she said they had disconnected us. I said okay and "THANK YOU". So, since I had no Internet Service, the last couple of mornings I have been playing a game that I have on my Computer. It is Majong Tiles. I didn't sleep good Wednesday night at all. It was after 2:00a.m. before I could go to sleep and then I got up around 4:45a.m. After I had taken the girls to school, I came back home to take my meds and eat me a bowl of Cereal. I then went back to bed for a while. I woke up around noon and came into the Front Room to play my game. Well, lo and behold, I noticed I had Internet Service again. So, I tried to get on and Walla, I was on. "PRAISE GOD"!!!! I have no idea as to how and why I had Internet Service again, but I took advantage of it and I did my best to visist everyone to let them know I was back on. So, that is why I wasn't able to post or comment the last couple of days. It has been hard on us the last few months and hopefully since DH has started this new job, things will get better and we can get caught up on things. Again, "THANK YOU" for all of the comments and emails that I had received and for being concerned about me. I really do appreciate it very much and appreciate each and everyone of you.

Now, let's get back to my Weather Report. LOL. It is currently 37 degrees with no windchill. It made it up to 50 degrees yesterday and was a beautiful day. There is a slight chance that we may have some Showers again today. It is suppose to get up to 58 degrees today and then by the weekend there is the possibility of it being very cold again. And, according to "The Weather Channel", they are calling for some Snow Showers on Sunday. Say what? Yeap, that's what was on there last night. But I'm not going to go out and buy up all the Bread and Milk. LOL. It can always change as it probably will. I know we couldn't get so lucky as to see some Snow around here. Anyway, we will see what this Arkansas Weather will bring us.

Today is "THANKFUL THURSDAY". It is now Hosted by Lynn@SpirituallyUnequalMarriage. If you would like to join in the "THANKFUL THURSDAY", please go visit Lynn and sign the Mr. Linky. Be sure to leave Lynn a comment as well. Today I have alot to be "THANKFUL" for. As you all know, this past week has been a bad week in the Weather Department. On Monday, Tornadoes hit the Southwest part of Missouri and did alot of damage to the Springfield and Branson area. There were several Tornadoes up in Missouri also. All of this was moving our way Monday Night into Tuesday. Well, somehow or another, the front slowed down some and it didn't get here till Tuesday around Noon. "THANK GOD" it didn't get bad here where we live at. We only got a little rain. There were reports of Tornadoes all around us tho. There was some damage in our neighboring Counties. In the Northwest part of Arkansas, there was a Tornado between Conway and Russellville that killed one person. In Jonesboro, they had some damage in the older part of town as well. Up the road a piece in Osceola, they had some damage there also. So, you see it was all around us here. I am "THANKFUL" that we saw nothing Severe here where we live at. "PRAISE GOD" for watching over us and for protecting us. My heart does go out to all the ones that lost everything and loved ones. I hope you will join with me in remembering all those in prayer. I never even heard it Thunder or see it Lightening around here on Tuesday. I did watch the clouds go around us tho and they looked pretty bad. I am also "THANKFUL" that I have Internet Service this morning. I was beginning to have withdrawals. LOL. What do you have to be "THANKFUL" for on this "THANKFUL THURSDAY"? You can let me know in the comment box if you want to.

Now, I would like to "THANK" Angela@TheLifeAndTimesOfGran and Hope@SecondTimeARound for giving me the "Great Blog Award - 2007 Inspiring Blog". "THANK YOU" both Angela and Hope for giving me this wonderful Award. I am so honored that you both chose me and I so do appreciate it very much. I feel so honored that my blog is Inspiring to these ladies. If you have time, please go and visit Angela and Hope. They are both Inspiring to me as well.
Since, I don't like to pick a certain person to Award things to, and since each and everyone of you have been Inspiring to me this past year, I am going to Award each and everyone of you this Wonderful Award. I really appreciate each and everyone of you taking the time to visit me and leaving a comment. So, please, if you read my blog, take the Award and pass it on as well. I feel so Blessed and "THANKFUL" for each and everyone of you.

Late last night I was visiting Pea@Pea'sCorner. She was informing us all that this was "Nations Delurking Week". It is January 7 13. I have never heard of this before. Pea did some research on this and here is what Pea had to say about it.

I looked up what “delurking” means. Apparently, “lurking” is the practice of reading blogs and comment threads without commenting yourself, or making it known that you’re a reader. So “delurking” is making your presence known through comments, etc. Come out, come out, wherever you are! Let me know that you're here reading this:-)

Pea has several Banners on her Blog about "National Lurking Week". If you have time, please go visit Pea and leave a comment and pick a Banner that you would like to display. The above 2 are the one's I chose. "THANK YOU" dear Pea for the Banner's and for doing some research on this. I do hope that if you have time, you will let everyone know about this "National Delurking Week" on your Blog as well.

My DH made it out of Canada on Tuesday Night. He wasn't able to get a signal up in Canada except only in certain area's. I didn't get to talk to him as much as I normally do, but when he did have a signal, he would call me. It drives me crazy not being able to talk to him several times during the day or evening. They got back into Memphis, TN, yesterday morning. They got to come home for a while. He got home around 2:30p.m. and went to bed. They had a load to take to Hodgkins, IL that delivers this morning. They left around 9:00p.m. last night. He wasn't here long, but "PRAISE GOD" he was here for a while and me and the girls got to visit with him for a bit. They should be back home later on tonight to restart their hours. They will have to leave out sometime on Sunday going on their new Dedicated Run. He told me yesterday afternoon that he hasn't been sleeping as good during the day. It's going to take him a while to adjust to driving at nights and sleeping during the day again. He said he got so tired yesterday morning around 4:00a.m. that he had to pull over and let his Uncle take over. They were in Franklin, KY when they switched out. I've always told him that when he gets that sleepy, to pull over and also if to call me and talk to me to keep him awake. I told him it doesn't matter what time of the night it is. I will talk to him. I can always go back to sleep after the girls are gone to school.

Well, guess I'll go for now. I am about to finish up my first cup of coffee and I think I will go and see who has any coffee ready for me to refill my cup with. Take care my friends and have a great Thursday. May God Bless Each and Everyone of You.

LOVE & HUGS,

Glad that you were able to get your internet service back. I can understand going through internet withdrawal!

And you were so lucky that the bad weather didn't hit where you live. I've seen a tornado come through about 1/4 mile away from our house, and it's not a pretty site.

Glad that your hubby got to come home for a few hours. Hopefully he'll be able to adjust to the new hours soon.

Thanks for the awards. I'll try to post them soon.

You don't know how relieved I am to hear that you and your loved ones were not hurt in any storms. I can totally understand about no cable too...been there, done that. It's totally frustrating, but eventually we do get by with what we have. Right?

Oooooooooooo, that 'non-sleeping' for your hubby sounds scary. I hope soon [REAL soon] he can get into a routine again and be able to control his sleeping and be refreshed while trucking!! Must be so hard!!!

You take care of yourself. Try and relax and YOU TOO get back 'into the swing' of a new routine.

Thanks for thinking of me for the giftie!!! I appreciate it.

So--------you're an Aries too, huh? Hubby here is proud to be the RAM. [But of course I always hafta remind him that without me, he'd not survive since I'm the WATER symbol -Aquairius. LOL]

P S ---I just clicked on your link to Pea's Corner and it's an email link ---

To do a blog link, first, copy the url/web site address [for instance mine would be http://hootin--anni.blogspot.com] from the address bar near the top of your browser address window, go to your blog entry from your dashboard -edit the certain blog [or when you're creating a blog entry] then when you have your blog entry open, [either edit HTML or Compose] and you type the person you're linking to. Highlight that person's name. Then, you'll see a little icon atop your blog entry...the one that looks like a ball a chain --click on that. A little bar will open up and you'll see an 'http' -- click on that little bar and PASTE the copied url/address of the person's site. Click OK ---It's linked with the address and not an email.

Karen,
I'm sure glad you're up and running again. I've been there without the Internet for short periods, too, and it's awfully frustrating. You don't realize how much you rely on it until it's gone.
On this Thankful Thursday, I'm grateful to learn that my granddaughters are home from the hospital and are doing well. Mommy and Daddy are tired, but her mom is down there helping them out. I think it will be my turn next! We're anxious to see those little girls away from the hospital environment and really hold them close and just love on them!
Have a wonderful day and I'll be praying that your hubby makes the adjustment to his new job/hours easily.

Hugs,
Leeann

Hi Karen, so glad you are back. I was really getting worried about you. My Mom and Regina and I were visiting yesterday and Moma was saying how much she enjoys your comments. She wanted you to know that my Dad and her both were truck drivers when they were younger. They drove as a team.

Thanks so much for the award and thanks from Mom to. You have a wonderful day and again I will say so glad you are back on the net. I pray things will get better for you. I know what it's like to live from pay day to pay day. We have hard times , but the Lord always come through , right on time.

Blessings,Shelley

Oh, my goodness...I am so Thankful all is ok with you and yours...
that the bad weather didn't hit your town....
that the reason you didn't post wasn't something serious...
that you are ok...
that your hubby is safe and in a new job...
I have a LOT to be THANKFUL for this Thursday.
Karen, my hubby and I have ALWAYS seemed to live from pay check to pay check. How many times I didn't have the money to pay all the bills...I do understand how hard it can be. It does seem, just like with you, that things have a way of working themselves out and GOD is the one that works them out for us.GOOD GRIEF...what in this world would we do if we didn't have HIM to carry us?? I am so blessed!
hugs to you this morning,

Good Morning agian,
I went to my blog and saw that you had asked a question about where to get all these award at. For Hopes award, I just went to www.photobucket.com and found it on there. There are several different things on that site if you have something in mind just put it in the search box. For yours i googled pics with girls with umbrellas, found one I liked and copied it to my computer. Then I just added the words on it from there. Hope it helps.
What award did you leave me?

Good Morning, Karen,
I'm here...where's the coffee??
So good to have you back. My goodness, I didn't even know what the weather was in Arkansas and I had to watch Weather Channel to find out!! LOL Seriously though, I was worried about you because I knew that storm was suppose to hit and then you just disappear!!.. Thank God it didn't hit!

We have had about 3 pretty days in a row here. Today it started to rain and turn cold almost like snow in the air but I don't think they're giving any for this area.

You are very welcome for the award and you deserve it. I see somebody else agrees with me cause you got it twice!!

I'm going to visit some more now and find more coffee!!

Love and Hugs,
Hope

Glad your hubby came home for a few hours. Try to get some rest so you don't get sick and glad the storms missed you. We got them and now we are flooding out here like crazy. Stay safe sweet lady and will check back in tomorrow.

I'm thankful that you did not get tornadoes. I thought of that as a possibility.

You can be so thankful for cell phones - just think of how wonderful it is that you CAN talk to your DH so many times a day!

Hey Karen,

Glad you got your Internet access back. Sometimes I don't hear from you for two days so I didn't really worry. I just thought you were busy, going shopping, like at Wal*Mart (winks-just kidding, I know you don't like it there.)

Thanks for passing on the award. I'll put it in when I have time tomorrow.

Take care and God bless.

I'm glad to see you back today!
Congrats on the award!

I'm late getting around this evening as Hubby's machine is down at work and he took a vacation day and we went out to supper. I'm not feeling so hot. This weird weather has my sinus's in a snit, I'm now on an antibiotic for that!

We've had a lot of rain today!! Expecting snow this weekend and when they say snow here they pretty much mean it...lol!

Take care!

Good evening, Karen,

I'm so glad you're back online! I missed you. And I'm not the only one either. We got spared from the storms, and I'm very sorry for the folks that didn't. And more tornadoes are touching down even tonight. Very scary!

Actually, it turned out to be a nice day today, after the morning bleakness. We'll see about the snow possibilities over the weekend and next week. A little snow wouldn't be too bad, but if the truth be told, I would rather do without any snow!

I'm glad your hubby got to spend a little time at home. I pray he stays safe on those long distance trips.

Well, it's been a long day for me, and I'm behind with everything. Have a nice evening with your girls, and God bless you!

Hugs,

Renie

I'll put him on my prayer list concerning safety and sleep habits.

Take care Karen...rest when you can.May your day be filled with many blessings, love and laughter!

I was going to give you two days of not blogging and then on the third day I was going to send a tall dark handsome Mountie to go search for you! hehe Glad to see you back online my friend:-) I posted just after midnight last night...I haven't been going to bed until around 12:30 am to see if I can sleep through the night and it works! If I go to bed too early then I'm up half the night.

Thank goodness you didn't get any of that severe weather...my heart goes out to the ones who were affected though! Such a weird winter so far. We're supposed to start getting snow by tonight but not too sure what kind of accumulation we'll get. The temperature is also dropping but not to the frigid temps we had before!!

Congratulations on the well deserved award, dear Karen and thank you so much for passing it on to all of us:-) I appreciate each award so very much and it gives me such a warm fuzzy feeling to know that others enjoy my blog!!

Glad to hear your hubby was able to get home for a bit. Hopefully it won't take much longer before he gets used to sleeping during the day...he must feel like he hasn't slept in days!!

Hope your day went well...I went shopping with my friend June and we had a lovely time:-) Love to you! xoxo

Thank goodness you were not blown away with the weather. It's been crazy with all the temperature changes, hasn't it? We just got home from bowling about an hour or so ago. I need to go to bed but it's hard for me to go right to bed without "unwinding". I try to get up at 5:30 so I can leisurely get ready for work but that's a bit early for this 8 hours of sleep gal.
Mu H has been playing a lot of Majong lately, too. I've never tried it.
Have a good night,
Nan

Hi, Karen. I'm late visiting tonight. Had a full day today and didn't get home until 9:30 pm.

I missed you but figured you were just taking a blogging break as you adjusted to staying up nights and sleeping days with your hubby again. Glad he made it safely home although he had to leave out again so soon.

We were very fortunate the storms were so close to us but passed us safely by. Praise the Lord for that!

Thanks for the award! I appreciate it so much. I'll get mine and Cecil's posted soon.

Hope you have a good Friday. ;o)
