SWEET THINGS SUNDAY

Good Sunday Mornin' Yall,
I do hope that everyone had a Wonderful Saturday and ready to start a new day. It is currently 37 degrees here with a windchill of 32 degrees. The winds are out of the Northwest at 12 miles an hour. The high today is suppose to be around 47 degrees. We got some rain last night. It wasn't a major rain event, but every little drop is appreciated. The local weather woman did say that there could be a few Rain/Snow Showers overnight. I don't think any snow was mixed in with it because it just wasn't cold enough. It's suppose to be Partly Cloudy here today.
Well, we had a busy day yesterday. I did do a post and didn't get to visit till last night. I'm sorry I knocked on your door kind of late, but you know how it is sometimes. I had to take our oldest daughter out at the Gym at 9:45a.m. I came back because one of my SIL'S came over yesterday morning to fix our youngest daughter's hair and put a litte make-up on her. She did a great job. So, we finally left the house around 10:20a.m. and went out to the Gym for our oldest daughter's Basketball Game. They played Gosnell, AR and they played a very good game and they won 26 to 6. Way to go Rebels!!!! After our oldest daughter's game, we had about an hour's intermission to speak of before the Homecoming Activities began. A couple of the girls on our daughter's team was Homecoming Maids as well and they had to have time to go and get ready. The Homecoming Activities started at 12:30p.m. They had the Gym fixed up pretty nicely. First of all, they called each Pee-Wee Girl Basketball Player out by grade first. They started with 4th grade and went up to 6th grade. They also called out the Pee-Wee Cheerleader's as well. There was only 2 Cheerleaders to be called out on this part because our youngest daughter and another 4th grade Cheerleader were Maids. I am going to show you a picture of our oldest daughter first. She had an Escort as well. Now don't forget, I only have my cell phone camera to use for now. My SIL that did our youngest daughter's hair had her digital camera out there and took some pictures. She is suppose to be emailing me some.
This is our oldest daughter, Ashely, and her Escort Alex under the Arch that was decorated. Our daughter wasn't too thrilled with her escort. LOL. Anyway, all the girls that plays Pee-Wee Basketball, wore their Basketball uniforms. All of the boys that played Pee-Wee Basketball was the Escorts. Next is a picture of your youngest daughter as Maid with her escort, Chandler.
Like I said, these pictures don't do justice, but I'm sorry, this is all I have to show for right now. Hopefully my SIL will email me some pictures pretty soon. Our youngest daughter didn't win Queen, but it was still an honor to be a Maid tho. Here is a picture of the Queen, Chelsea, and the other Maids.
I apologize for the picture being so dark, but they did have a very pretty background and the theme for it was "Winter Wonderland". Let me try and show you another picture of just the background for the Queen and her Maids.

I know it's small, but it's the best I could do for now. This was the School's first ever Pee-Wee Homecoming. Everyone really enjoyed it and hopefully it will be continued on each year. All of the Maids received a Red Rose from their Escort. The dress that our youngest daughter has on is one that my SIL bought and her shoes as well. It's the same SIL that did her hair too. My SIL doesn't have any girls, so she said shopping for our youngest daughter would give her a "Girly Fix". LOL. After the Homecoming Activities, the 4th Grade Boys Pee-Wee Boys had a Basketball Game. Our youngest nephew plays on this team, so I got to see him play. They played a good game as well, but they ended up losing their game. After this game, the 5th Grade Boys had a game. I don't have anyone that is related to me that was playing in this group, but I still watched the game. After this game, it was the 6th Grade Boys Game. My SIL that did our youngest daughter's hair, her youngest Son plays on this team. This was a really good intense game and they ended up winning their game. Finally, at 4:00p.m. it was our oldest daughter's last game. They played Luxora, AR. This is the team they played in Luxora here while back and they are the one's that the Ref's cheated our team out of this game. But today, they were over here on our grounds, and no cheating was going to be done. I had heard from several people that the Luxora team had already played 2 games today. We were ahead at half-time. I forgot what the score was at this time. LOL. Heck, I'd already seen 4 games already and seen so many scores. Anyway, our girls ended up winning this game 23 to 14. WooooHoooo, GO REBELS!!!! Our girls Pee-Wee Basketball Tournament starts this week and it's at Armorel, AR. The coaches are suppose to be having a meeting this afternoon sometime, and our coach will call us and let us know when we will be playing and all that good stuff. I was told after our oldest daughter's last game that our girls and Wilson was tied for 1st place in the League. If you remember back, Wilson is new in our League this year and we lost both times to them. So, I ask you to keep your finger's crossed and say a prayer that when we do play Wilson, we can beat them. I know this sounds odd asking for prayers like this, but you see, the last 2 years our girls have won the Championship in the Tournament. I would hate for them to lose that since this is their last year as playing Pee-Wee Basketball together. These girls have been playing Pee-Wee Basketball together since the 3rd grade. I know our girls will do the best they can tho.

After the game was over with, me and the girls came home. I had already brought DH home after the Homecoming Activities so he could go to bed since he was leaving at Midnight and had to drive all night. I ate the rest of the Cheeseburger Hamburger Helper. DH had woke up while we were still at the game and was hungry, so he had heated it up for him. It was still good and warm when we got home. The girls didn't want any because they had been snacking and eating out at the Gym all day. DH was up when we got home around 5:45p.m. We told him about the game and he went and layed back down around 6:00p.m. I tried my best to keep the girls quiet while he slept some more. They did pretty good. I had to get DH up at 10:00p.m. for him to get his shower and have some coffee. We left the house around 11:30p.m. and went by and picked his Uncle up and then took them to the truck. They were leaving around Midnight. They had to go to Memphis, TN to pick up their load and head to Salt Lake City, UT. It was a little after 1:00a.m. before I finally went to sleep. I had my alarm set to go off at 7:00a.m., but I woke up on my own at 6:00a.m. I am now having my first cup of coffee. Would you care to join me? That was my busy day on this Saturday. I was indeed as my good friend Diane would say, "I am TARD". LOL.

I would like to mention a Giveaway. Pea@Pea'sCorner is having a Valentine's Giveaway.

Pea always has some really nice things to give away when she has one of her Giveaways. Hi Karen,

I'm glad to see you still have your computer up and running. I hope it stays that way. I miss you when you are not around.

Well, we didn't get that snow they were calling for. I think I'll cry. I want some snow so bad.

I know you are proud of both your girls, Karen. I think the pictures turned out pretty good to be your cell phone camera.

Have a good week.

Dearest Karen,

You sure did have a very busy day but a fun one as well:-) I'm so glad to hear that the Rebels won again...GO REBELS GO!! I've always wanted to be a cheerleader, maybe your youngest daughter can teach me?? hehe

The Homecoming sounds like it was fabulous and I so enjoyed seeing the pictures of the girls. They book look beautiful like their mama:-) I had to laugh, though, at how far from her escort your oldest was standing! hehe Then I read that she wasn't too thrilled with him so now I know why there is so much distance between them! lol Too cute!

Thank you so much for announcing my Valentine Giveaway...of course I don't mind you taking the button, that's what it's for:-)

Oh gosh, I haven't even gone to get the paint yet...right now I'm just trying to go through all my stuff in my computer room and see what I want to keep and what I want to get rid of. I've decided to sell my Beanie Baby collection and my stamp collection so spent most of the day posting on eBay!! I'm also selling the sofa bed that I have in there...so, just want to get rid of all that stuff before I even start to paint!

Hopefully you'll still be online tomorrow!! Take good care of yourself and looking forward to having a coffee with you in the morning! hehe xoxo

Hi Karen
I'm so glad you're still online. Congratulations to your daughters. I've often wondered what exactly a Home Coming is, since the name would imply going away and coming back, but that clearly isn't the case. And what do the King and Queen do? Anyway, congratulations, and I do have to agree about the photo of your youngest, you can see she's not too happy about her escort.
I won't be posting today, because I'm studying Spanish and I had an assignment that I needed to submit today, so I've been working on that in between my other commitments. I'm going to Bristol tomorrow for the first day of my daughter's first solo art show (so exciting)!
Your comment about the damaged moss on my patio got me thinking that there's no reason why I shouldn't just shove it back into the cracks and hope for the best.
Take care and goodnight (it's 1.25 am here! Oh dear, late again).

Hi, Karen. It's now Sunday night, and I'm always TARD on Sunday evening after a full day with church both times, especially if I cook Sunday Dinner as I did today.

I hope you don't mind, I finished supper and now I'm eating some tropical trail mix and drinking some coffee. Have some trail mix? ;o)

Good job to your girls. Now just a few more games....

Hope your hubby and his uncle have a safe trip. I think they're going to be heading into some bad weather in the Rockies, according to which way they go.

Hope you have a great new week, and hope you're still online tomorrow...

Love and hugs,

Diane
