TUESDAY THIS & THAT'S

Good Tuesday Mornin' Yall,

I do hope that everyone had a wonderful Monday and ready to start another day. It is another very foggy Tuesday here this morning. We are under a Dense Fog Advisory until 10:00a.m. The fog had lifted some yesterday, but it never really went away. It is currently 43 degrees with a windchill of 40 degrees here this morning. The local weather guy says it is suppose to get up to 68 degrees today. Hmmmm, we will see because it was suppose to have warmed up to around 70 degrees this past Sunday. It never made it out of the low 40's. Like I've said before, one never knows what to expect from this Arkansas weather. But I am Thankful that we don't have any ICE like some of our blogging friends and neighboring States have. Our neighboring States of Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma have been hit pretty bad. I've seen some pictures on the news, and believe me, it's not a pretty picture. There are thousands and thousands of people without power and several have died on the roads because of the ICE. Let us all keep them and their families in our prayers.

Hubby had to leave out this morning. I just got back from taking him up to his truck. They didn't work this past Friday because of the fog and it being wet and all. He was off over the weekend as well. He was sickly yesterday morning and wasn't able to go out. He was cold most of the day. He is feeling better this morning tho. He talked to his boss on Sunday evening and his boss told hubby that he needs to be finding another job. He is selling all of his trucks except for 2. His boss said that with the high price of diesel, he can't afford to keep running all of the trucks. But hubby had already been looking for something else. He has a couple of things in the works. He has a friend here in town that drives a truck as well. He will be needing a new team driver come the first of the year. Hubby has already talked to this guy once about it and when he comes home this weekend, hubby is suppose to talk to him again about it. If that doesn't work out, he can go back to a previous employer that he worked with before he went to work for the guy he is working for now. He doesn't really want to go back to work for this company because they kept him out all the time, but he has to do what he has to so he can keep an income coming into our home. I would like for you all to keep hubby in your prayer's about getting one of the jobs. Another thing, PLEASE, PLEASE keep hubby in your prayers today as well. He has to pick up a load in McGeHee, Ar and take it to Meta, MO. Yeap, Missouri. He will be going up there where the ICE is. He doesn't have any chains for his truck as it is a farm used truck. I did tell him if it got too bad to please pull over and shut down. He assured me he would. He has an uncle that works for the same guy and they will be running to the same places today and tomorrow. So, I ask that yall will pray for Safe Travels for my wonderful hubby and his uncle. I would really appreciate it very much. I know my hubby is a very good driver and he will be okay. It's just natural for me to worry about him out on the roads tho.

Tonight is the girls School Christmas Program. I had asked them over the weekend if they wanted to go to the Firemen's Christmas Dinner or be in their School Christmas Program. They both want to be in the Christmas Program at School. They don't have any major parts or anything, but still they wanted to be in it. So, that is what we are going to do tonight. My Mother called me last night and said they would come and watch the girls Christmas Program at School as well. The program will only last about 30 minutes. I don't know if I will be able to take any pictures or not as the only camera I have is on my cell phone. I will try and if I do get a couple of good ones, I will share them with you. My cell phone is not the best camera to take pictures with, but hey, I am happy with what I do have.

Yesterday I had posted about the "Deck the Blogs". Well, apparently yesterday was the last day because they posted the winners yesterday afternoon. I'm sorry about this folks, but I didn't really know when the deadline was.

In other news, there has been another shooting. I seen where there was a couple of shootings out in Colorado. What is this world coming to? This is just insane. I have noticed tho, from previous shootings, that when there is one shooting, a few more follow. It's such a sad thing that someone would do this especially right here at Christmas. We all need to pray for the victims that have been shot and the ones that have lost their lives. We also need to pray for the ones doing the shooting. "FATHER FORGIVE THEM, FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO". I just don't think this old world can take much more. I do believe that the time is drawing near for our LORD JESUS CHRIST' return.

Well, I do hope that everyone will have a wonderful Tuesday. May God Bless Each and Everyone of You. I do think I will go visiting for a bit and see who I can have coffee with. Take care my friends and remember, JESUS Loves You and so do I.

LOVE & HUGS,

Good morning, Karen. It is 40 degrees here headed for 53. Most of the snow has melted. Glad I got some pictures before it was gone. I will pray that your husband has a safe trip. We are lucky that the ice is to the north of us. I will also include a prayer for a job for him. One he likes! I'm glad he has some options.
The Christmas play should be fun. Take some pictures if you can.
Smiles.

Good morning dear Karen. I will keep you all in my prayers and thoughts. And hopefully the ice storm he has to drive in will be 'not as bad' as they show on TV....wow, that looks dangerously cold and just plain dangerous to be out in.

Ya, I lived in Colorado for over 40 years. My brother still lives in Arvada [where the first shooting was]...and Colorado Springs [the second one] is where my hubby was born. It IS such a sad sad world.

Hope you have one super day dear lady!! You ALL are in my thoughts.

Hi Karen,
We're getting another one of those summer days in December, here in eastern NC. I can understand how tight it can be with truck drivers now, with the cost of fuel so high. Don't worry too much. I have found that most times change works out for the best.

I think you are right about the times and Jesus coming soon!

Hi Karen,
I'm trying to catch up on your nice newsy posts here. I'm sorry to hear you had some problems with blogging that made you think about leaving. I truly know how that feels and have been "stepping back" a bit in light of my own blogging problems.
I'm still reading posts, but not commenting quite as much. I've been out of town for five days and hope to get a post done before long. Christmas is such a busy time, isn't it!!
Hope you're feeling cheerier and just remember that most bloggers truly have hearts full of goodness. I've certainly realized that recently.
((hugs))

Hi Karen,

It is freezing rain here, so know how worried you are about your hubby. I was to pick the boys up from school today, but daughter, Michelle, isn't going to work. She has to drive about 20 minutes along back roads to get there and is terrified to drive on ice. I told her to just stay put and so did her husband. I don't really want to drive in it either, but will if I have to.

I hope the girls' Christmas program goes well. I would love to be there. Please be sure to tell us all about it.

I will pray for your hubby as he travels those icy roads and his uncles as well. In fact, I will go one step further and pray for all travelers who will be slipping and sliding their way along icy roads.

Take care, Karen and thanks for taking part in the Christmas fun over at my blog.

Blessings and love,
Mary

Hi Karen,
I woke this morning to very dense fog. Our front and back porches looked like rain had blow in on them. I don't ever remember seeing fog that bad. Today though is beautiful and sunny. Suppose to be in the 70's and feels like it is already.
Praying for your Hubby's safe return to you.
Have fun tonight at the Christmas program.
Hugs,
Hope

Have a wonderful evening with your loved ones.

Hi Karen:-)

Finally finding some time to do some visiting! It was another busy day of shopping and tomorrow I have to bring my mom shopping so hopefully my feet hold out! lol At least I can say I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping and tonight I did the last of my Christmas baking...YAHOO!!!

Don't you know you're not supposed to have temps going up to 68 in December?? lol You never see that over here, that's for sure:-) I'm just so glad you're not being affected by those ice storms...my prayers are with your hubby that he stays safe and also that he can find a new job at the start of the year!!

I'm looking forward to hearing how the School Christmas Program went...I so miss going to those.

I heard about those shootings in the churches in Colorado...as you said, what is this world coming to that you can't even be safe in church. My heart goes out to all the families.

Take care my friend, love you! xoxo

Hi Karen,

It has been really bad weather in some parts of the country, Oklahoma City for one had a terrible ice storm. I saw pictures of it online, and it looked bad.

It was in the mid 70's here. Didn't seem like December at all.

I pray your husband will be safe on his travels.

Oh, thanks for visiting my blog today and leaving a comment.

Hi, Karen. It's 64 degrees now and got up to 75 here today. I had already read Ryan's blog about Saturday. Did you see the high and low for Saturday? 35 for the high and 20 for the low! Mercy, I wish this weather would settle down! I'm ready for COLD weather and maybe some snow. It's December, for Pete's sake!

I'm late getting around today. My sisters were here and I cooked beef and homemade egg noodles, butter peas and fresh steamed broccoli. It was good, and it's all gone, LOL! We polished off all the beef and noodles and all but just a bit of the butter peas.

Then I made 2 batches of fantasy fudge and a batch of peanut butter fudge. I still need to make another batch of fudge and a few other things, but I still have some time before I have to have it done.

Hope your hubby made it okay. There's a lot of truckers going under right now with the high price of fuel. I hope he finds a good job with better pay and benefits and where he can be home more.

Have a good evening.

Love and hugs,

Diane

Karen, I will be praying for your husband with regards to a new job. I know that is stressful but just remember that God is in control and will see you through.
By the way, I am a grandmother! The baby girls were born last night and are a little over 4 lbs. each and absolutely beautiful. God is so merciful, isn't He?
Talk to you soon, friend!

Hi Karen...my thoughts and prayers will be with you and your husband about a new job and I do hope he is driving safely and not through the ice....
My daughter has a Christmas program tomorrow night...she is schooled at home except for Choir and English which she has a local JR High...hopefully I will remember my camera! I was watching the news quite carefully about the shooting in Colorado Springs...thats where we moved from last year...thankfully it wasn't anyone I know although it was a tragedy regardless.
Blessings,
