Good Tuesday Mornin' Yall,
I do hope everyone had a great Monday and ready to start a new day. It is 33 degrees here with a windchill of 30 degrees here this morning. We saw Sunshine yesterday and suppose to have Sunshine thru Thursday when there's a chance of rain. It actually felt nice outside yesterday afternoon. The wind wasn't blowing so that made the difference.
I bet yall are wondering why I chose "THANKFUL TUESDAY" for my Title this morning. I have so much to be Thankful for on this day. My Dear Hubby has found a new job. "PRAISE GOD"!!!! Hubby got to be home yesterday. They were suppose to be hauling some more corn from those long bags. He was on his way taking a load to the River in Osceola,AR and he called me a little after 8:00a.m. and was wondering what I was doing. I told him I was finishing up my coffee. He said he had talked to a guy from his previous employer and the guy told him they would hire hubby and his Uncle back as Team Drivers. They are to start their orientation on January 2, 2008. Another thing is that normally when they hire Team Drivers they start them out splitting 42 Cents a mile. The guy told hubby he would guarantee them 44 Cents a mile to split. Since hubby and Uncle had been Team Drivers for them before and knew they were good drivers and workers, they would be more than glad to have them back driving for them. "PRAISE GOD" for this pay also. He said they may have a dedicated run for them also. I pray they get a dedicated run because this way, they will have a set schedule. So this my friend is why I decided to call this my "THANKFUL TUESDAY". A prayer very much answered. This is truly a wonderful and the best Christmas Gift I will receive this year. A true gift from GOD. I know many of you have been praying for my wonderful hubby and I want to "THANK" each and everyone of you that has been praying for him. I so appreciate it very much. Words cannot express how much I am "THANKFUL" for all of your prayers. May God Bless Each and Everyone of You. I am praying that 2008 will be a better and brighter year for us. Times have been hard on us this year, but we stuck together and made it thru it with our LOVE for each other and our COMMITMENT to each other. "GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME, GOD IS GOOD". Hubby has to leave out today and will hopefully be home again on Friday or Saturday. Yesterday morning when they were getting the corn out of those bags, someone sunk the buggy they were hauling the corn from. When he first went to work yesterday morning around 7:00a.m. the ground was still frozen. Then as the temperatures started warming up, the ground began to thaw. We have had alot of rain around here lately and it was very muddy. Hubby said the guy driving the tractor and pulling the buggy went to get some corn to load in a truck and it just sank really deep. So, hubby got home a little after 11:00a.m. yesterday and his boss called him shortly after 12:00p.m. and told him to go out since it was too muddy to haul the corn. So, he is leaving out this morning. I will miss him as always, but I know he has to work to keep an income coming into our home.
Last night for our supper I fixed Taco's. We had Soft Shell Taco's and Hard Shell Taco's. They were delicious. It had been a good while since I had fixed Taco's, so I decided to fix them. Hubby loves Taco's. I had first planned on fixing Tacorita's. My blogging friend, Barb, A Chelsea Morning, had posted the recipe one day last week and they looked so good. I had told hubby about it Friday night. Well, Sunday night I was showing it to the girls. Our youngest daughter said she just wanted regular Taco's, so hubby said for me to fix just regular Taco's. So, that is what I did. After supper was over with, the aroma from the Taco's had the house smelling so good. There was some left as I had made a big batch, so me and the girls will have them for our supper again tonight.
I want to "CONGRATULATE" Pea from Pea's Corner for winning the Giveaway that Amy at Bunny Rose Cottage. Amy's husband drew Pea's name on Sunday night and Amy announced the winner yesterday. "CONGRATULATIONS" Pea on your Giveaway. Even tho I have never won a Giveaway, I still have fun entering them.
Also, Hootin' Anni had presented me with "Your Blog Is A Treasure Award" over the weekend. I am now going to pass this Award on to Renie of Renie Burghardt's World, Kansas Rose of Prairie Farmeress, Lib of Lib's Private Paradise, Dawn of Call Me Grandma Dawn, and Joyce of Creation in Progress. A couple of these ladies are new blogging friends of mine, and I want to let them know that I really enjoy visiting their blogs and feel right at home. "CONGRATUALTIONS" to all the one's I passed it on to. I will stop by your blog after I have finished posting and Award you with this.
I have also been tagged by Mary of Mary's Writing Nook and Hope of Second Time Around for a Christmas Hoopla. "THANK YOU" both for tagging me. I will do the Christmas Hoopla later on today and post it then. I have to do some thinking on it.
Another Award I received was the "Bodacious Blog Award" from Grams at Talk to Grams. "THANK YOU" so much Grams. I am going to do as Gram's did and pass this Award on to everyone of my blogging friends as well. So ladies, when you read this, please be sure to take this Award and post it on your sidebar. "CONGRATULATIONS" to all of my blogging friends. I hope you enjoy your new Award.
The girls are getting out early today. They went all day yesterday. Our youngest daughter told us they get out at 1:15p.m. today and then at 1:45p.m. tomorrow. I think she may have it turned around. But anyway, I told them they didn't have to go to School today or tomorrow. They both said they wanted to. Now imagine that, when I tell them they don't have to go to School, they want to go and when they have to go, they don't want to go. Oh well, I'm glad they are wanting to go. They aren't doing much this week. I think they are wanting to go so they can be around their friends and have fun.
Well, I guess that's about all for this "THANKFUL TUESDAY". I do hope that everyone has a great Tuesday. May God Bless Each and Everyone of You. I think I will go visiting now and see who wants to share a cup of coffee with me this morning. Take care my friends and stay warm.

Praise be!!!! I'm am so happy to have read that your hubby got a job. Life is good!!!
PS....thanks for the award Karen.
Also, to answer your question about the pencil sketch I have on my blog today, of my parents....yes, I drew it. I love to draw and paint.
Karen - That's great news about your husband and his job. I'm sure that must take a lot of worry off your shoulders, especially at this time of year.
That's wonderful news Karen! I can only imagine the weight that has been lifted from your shoulders. It's amazing the power of prayer. Not always is it easy to trust the plans God has made for us. But really, when we do, isn't life great? Praising the Lord with you this morning!
Congratulations on your award too!
Love,
Julie
Praise the Lord for that good news! I trust it will be a very good place for him to work, and that he'll be home more often.
Thanks for the sweet award! I appreciate it very much. I need to do the Christmas Hoopla, which my daughter tagged me for, and then we'll go back to Hawaii!
It's back to work for me today - I had a horrid headache all day yesterday, played for a funeral, had my grandkids for a couple of hours, and got a bit of laundry done - I didn't finish laundry or get to the grocery store, which were my two plans for the day. Oh, well. I'm kind of dreading getting back to my desk, because my mail will be piled very high, as well as phone messages and e-mail messages to answer.
Have a great day!
Karen-Thanks for passing the award on to everyone. :)
I am so glad to hear about your husband getting a job with a company who knows that he did good work previously. Great news. I believe God answers our prayers three different ways: Yes, No, and Wait.
Oh, the tuna salad? I don't have a recipe, LOL. I just do a dab of this and a dash of that. All I do is boil some pasta (I like to use the small shell kind). Most of the time I only boil half a box (about 4 oz). I chop some pickles, onions, throw in the contents of a can of tuna, and mix it together with Mirale Whip. After I drain the water out of the pasta and rinse it out with cold water, I add it to the tuna mixture and mix it some more. ALl done. Sometimes I garnish it with slices of boiled eggs on top. If I use the whole box of pasta, I just double up.
Good morning Karen, great news your husband got a job! Isn't it good to know that God is so mindful of our needs? I pray you and the family are having a wonderful Christmas Season. I am a little sad , knowing we are nearing the end and Christmas is only one week away. I so love this time of the year, but I do carry it with me all year long ! Hope you have a great day, friend.
Blessings,Shelley

Hi, Karen,
That is awesome that your hubby has a job lined up!!
I went to check the auction site you mentioned. I couldn't get the pictures to work. Thanks for sharing it with me.
Take care, Karen.
Cheryl
Hi Karen,
I am so thankful that our prayers have been answered and that your husband found a job. That is wonderful. I know that is a nice Christmas present in itself.
Karen, how do you enlarge your pictures that you put on your sidebar or inside a new post for that matter? I noticed your award from Anni, "Your Blog is a Treasure" is so much bigger on your sidebar than mine is. That same award that you have inside your post today is the same size of mine on my sidebar. Can you help me with that?
I appreciate your willingness to help me. I have called on Anni, Baba and Sandy to help me in times past. Now I have you, and I'm glad as this way I won't have to call on the same people everytime I need help.
I don't know anyone who lives close to me who could help me. You are blessed that you know someone living near you who is willing to help you. You are doing a great job.
Karen, Thank you so much for the bodacious blog award! Now if I just knew how to put it on my sidebar.....!
I am so grateful that God didn't make y'all wait to hear about a new job. He is always, always faithful and merciful.
The babies won't be home for Christmas but as long as they are getting stronger each day, that is what matters. In the meantime, little Momma can get stronger so she can take care of the girls when they get to go home.
Thank you for being my friend.
Leeann
Hi Karen,
Yes, we saw sunshine for three days in a row now, thank the Lord!
I'm so glad your prayers (and ours-your friends praying) have been answered and your husband's job situation has improved greatly.
Hmm, I haven't made taco's in ages, and reading about you making them has made me hungry for some. Guess what will be for lunch at my house tomorrow? Lol.
As always, I enjoy reading about all your family doings. And I want to thank you for the beautiful, Your Blog is a Treasure Award. You are so sweet and kind hearted to pass it on, but you are the most deserving of it, my dear.
God bless you and have a lovely evening with your loved ones.
Hugs,
Renie
Hey Karen! Thank you for visiting my new blog...I'm really excited about starting this new venture. You recent post about your husband's job really spoke to my heart. I'll explain later more about that but really can't get into that right now. My husband and I met a wonderful couple on a cruise last year from Fort Smith, Arkansas - hate they live so far away because we really liked them. Have a very blessed Christmas - Judy
Oh, Karen, I forgot to tell you that I live in Montgomery - only about 3 hours from Mobile. We used to go to Mobile (or through Mobile) to Biloxi quite a bit before Katrina hit the gulf coast. It's a beautiful town and I like that area a lot. If you ever get down this way, please let me know. Judy
I am so happy that your husband found a new job. What a good Christmas present. Guess all that praying worked.
Thanks so much for the award.
By the way, you're making me hungry with the Tacos.
Nan
