THANKFUL THURSDAY

Good Thursday Mornin' Yall,

I do hope that everyone had a great Wednesday and ready to start a new day. How many of you went out and did the day after Christmas shopping or to return gifts? I didn't go. I usually wait a week or so if I have to return a gift. I just don't like fighting with the crowds and some rude people. I do have a gift to return that the girls got me for Christmas, but I will do it sometime later on.

It is a cloudy and foggy morning here. It is 35 degrees and no windchill. The wind is calm. We got some rain yesterday afternoon and into early last night. Some parts of Arkansas got some Snow yesterday. Some counties to the Northwest of us got around an inch of Snow. They showed some pictures of it on our local weather segment last night. It sure was pretty. I guess I'm just gonna have to move so I can get some Snow. LOL. I'm hoping we get at least one good Snow fall before Winter is over with.

Today is "THANKFUL THURSDAY". I am "THANKFUL" for the wonderful Christmas we had this year. I am "THANKFUL" that I hosted our Christmas Eve Dinner and had my Parents, Sister, and Mother-In-Law here to eat and fellowship with us. Family is very important to me and I'm very "THANKFUL" for my wonderful Family. To me, being together is a wonderful Christmas gift. What do you have to be "THANKFUL" for on this "THANKFUL THURSDAY"? If you want to share, please feel free to leave me your "THANKFUL THURSDAY" in the comment section. mailto:Laurel@LaurelWreath is Hosting this week's "THANKFUL THURSDAY". If you would like to participate, please click on the link for more information. I always enjoy letting everyone know what I am "THANKFUL" for. I hope you will join in the "THANKFUL THURSDAY" also.

I would like to ask for Prayers for a dear friend of Mine. mailto:Mary@Mary will be leaving Canada today with her husband and 2 Grandson's. They are going to be going to Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida. I ask that you will pray for Travel Mercies for them as they travel to Florida and back from Florida. I think they are planning on returning back home on the 11th or 12th of January. Mary has also been fighting with and ear infection and has been taking some Antibiotics for them. Still remember Mary in your Prayers as well. Also, I want yall to remember Miss Emmy, she is the Grandaughter of mailto:Diane@Diane. Miss Emmy's Aunt left a comment on my yesterday's post about Miss Emmy not sleeping well at night's and also still has that crud that just won't go away. I know alot of people have had or still are battling with this crud, so remember Miss Emmy and everyone else that is still fighting that crud. It just want's to stay around for some reason. "THANK YOU" so much for Praying for these wonderful and dear friends.

Hubby had to leave out this morning. They started out hauling the corn out of those big bags yesterday, but it got too muddy for them to get back to where those bags were. He had to go to Jonesboro, AR and pick up a load of rice. He is having to take it to Meta, MO again. He will be gone tonight. I do hope he will get to come home tomorrow night. It sure is hard when he has been home at nights for several days and then has to be gone. When he does get home this weekend, he will be cleaning out his truck. Him and his Uncle will start their orientation on January 2, 2008 for their new job. I want to ask yall to pray that hubby and his Uncle will be able to get a Dedicated run so they will have a fixed schedule to have. It sure would be alot easier on them and our Family as well.

I did laundry yesterday afternoon. I done about 5 loads of laundry. I still have about 4 more loads to do today. The girls got some new sheets from my Sister as an early Christmas present and they took off their other sheets. Plus, I had to wash their clothes and then hubby's clothes up last night. A Woman's work is never done is it? LOL. I may gripe about it, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

The girls took me and hubby out to eat last night. We just went to a local Restaurant here in town. It's more or less a little fast food place. The girls had received some money for Christmas and they were tired of eating leftovers, so they took us all out. It felt nice for a change since I had been doing laundry all afternoon. Hubby had a BBQ pie, I had a Chicken Strip plate, and the girls had Cheeseburgers. It wasn't the best, but it filled up a hungry spot. I am "THANKFUL" for our 2 precious Daughter's who wanted to take their Momma and Daddy out to eat. "THANK YOU" girls and we love you both very much.

Well, guess I'll go for now. I'm having my morning coffee. I think I will go see who wants to have coffee with me. Take care my friends and have a great Thursday. May God Bless You and Yours.

Enjoyed my visit here, you have a very interesting collection to read.
Here in Canada we are getting more snow to-day, We had frozen mist on the trees 2 days ago and now the snow is gently falling and piling up on the trees. It is a beautiful sight and that is something coming from someone who would just as soon skip winter!!!!Oh well I am lucky to be able to just stay inside working away in my studio...I wish you a very Happy New year...
((((hugs))))

I'll drink Chai tea while you drink your coffee. :)

Sounds like a wonderful Christmas with family. What special girls you have that they wanted to spend their money on taking you and your husband out to eat.

I gripe about housework and laundry, but it's better than not having anyone to do it for. :)

I hope Emmy and Mary will get well soon. More than just "cold" season is upon us, but germ "cold" season as well. Hope your family stays healthy this winter. God bless you and yours.

Hi Karen, you were up early this morning. I'm glad you and your family had a nice Christmas.

We all have so much to be thankful for. Like you said, if we just have family and are able to spend time with our families, then that's a lot to be thankful for. I know I am blessed, and it seems you are very blessed also.

Hi Karen,

Your blog looks so nice! I like the new look. The color combiation is very pleasant.

I'm glad you had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones. I did as well. And our weather for Christmas Day was perfect!

Last night we had more rain, but as I looked out late evening, I was looking at great, big, wet, white snow flakes! They looked beautiful in the light of the spotlight. And I thought "Uh-Oh!" Lol. But when I looked out a half an hour later, it had turned back to rain again. So the snow was short-lived. Thank goodness!

I enjoyed reading about all your blessings on Thankful Thursday. It's good to be thankful, for the Lord is good!

Have a great evening.

Blessings and Hugs,

Renie

Karen, thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a couple of comments.

I don't mind at all you posting about me on your blog tomorrow. As a matter of fact, I would appreciate you asking everyone to pray for me. I don't think there will be much to the procedure but when it's something to do with the heart, then it can be a little frightening.

Hugs,
Betty

Hello, Karen, I came by way of Brenda at What's Up Down South. I believe you must have had a pretty nice Christmas!
I'm with you; I don't usually want to return things in all the rush either. Luckily this year I don't have anything to return!
Hope you get to see some snow but it doesn't stick to the road!
