SUNDAY SURPRISE

Good Sunday Mornin' Yall,

I do hope everyone had a great Saturday and ready to start a new day. This is the last Sunday of the year.
Well, I bet yall are wondering why I called today's post Sunday Surprise. Well, just hang on and I will tell yall. LOL. Would you care for a cup of coffee before we get started? How about a Sugar Cookie or something else? Okay, okay, I will get on with it. Friday night when hubby got home, he handed me some coupons. His boss had given him $650.00 worth of coupons to the Flying J Travel Center. Flying J is a big Truck Stop and has things you can buy in the store as well. Anyway, hubby told me that we could use the coupons on their online store as well. I was the first to get to pick something out. Hubby had already knew that I had been wanting a Digital Camera so I could take better pictures with to share with yall. Well, guess what I'm going to be getting? Are you ready for this?

Well, you guess it right. I am getting a Kodak Digital Camera and it also will record as well. I was so happy. Hubby told me this was my Christmas present from him. "THANK YOU" Dear Hubby. I Love You so much and you are the best!!!! Hubby was wanting a new CB for his truck that he will be assigned to next Friday, so I picked him out a CB and antenna's for his truck. That is my Christmas present to him. Hubby also let the girls pick them out something from the online store. They both wanted some kind of Audio DVD/CD/MP3 box of some sort. That is what they are getting. We had enough coupons to get all of this and hubby still had $6.00 left in coupons. That might get him a good breakfast one morning at the Restaurant the Flying J's have. We will have to pay the shipping and handling on all of the stuff we ordered, but hey where else in the world can you get some great things for $60.00? So, we are all happy now and can't wait to get our goodies. I will have to mail the coupons and check to the place and when they receive it, they will ship it out to us. It shouldn't take no more than a month to get it. I hope not. I'm so looking forward to taking some better pictures and sharing them with you all. Of course, I will have to learn how to use it and all that stuff. Hopefully, it won't take me too long. LOL.

I would like to ask for another prayer request. Alot of yall know mailto:Susie@Susie. Her Grandpa has been ill for a while now. I was visiting her last night and she said he had fell and hit his head and wasn't eating or drinking anything. She said he sleeps most of the time. When he does wake up, he isn't aware of the surrounding. If yall have time, stop by and give Susie some Love and support and let her know you will be praying for her Grandpa and Susie and her Family as well. I know I can count on yall for this prayer request. Susie is such a sweet person. I've only known her for a few months now, and I really love her. She made me feel so welcomed when I first started blogging.

Kelli@ThereIsNoPlaceLikeHome is having some New Year's Fun. Kelli does the Show & Tell Friday as well. In this fun, you will need to go visit Kelli and sign the Mr. Linky and be sure to link back to her blog from your blog. Here is what she wants everyone to do. You go to your first post of each month and type in your very first sentence. If you have some pictures you want to share for that month you can do that too. Be sure to tell everyone so everyone can join in the fun. I haven't been blogging the whole year, but here is mine:

SEPTEMBER - HELLO BLOGWORLD.

This is a picture of our 2 girls in a Big Rocking Chair that says "Momma Horton" at the top. They were in Mt. View, AR with my Parents and Sister earlier in the year.

OCTOBER - WELL, HELLO AGAIN BLOG WORLD.

This is a picture from Halloween a couple of years ago. It was made at my Sister's house in Lepanto. Our oldest Daughter is on the left side with a mask on and our youngest Daughter is on the right side. Don't you think she has one of them looks that says, "If Looks Could Kill"? LOL.

NOVEMBER - THANK GOODNESS IT'S FRIDAY. HAPPY NOVEMBER EVERYONE.

Since it was the month of Thanksgiving, I had my dear friend,mailto:Diane@Diane to fix me up a banner that I could give to all my blogging friends. I think Diane did a great job for me. "THANK YOU" again Diane for all that you have helped me with this year.

DECEMBER - GOOD SATURDAY MORNIN' YALL.

Since Christmas is in December, this is a picture of our girls standing in front of our Christmas Tree. I think I have shared this picture before, but I am showing it again todayI hope you enjoyed my New Year's Fun. If you would like to join in, please go visit Kelli@ThereIsNoPlaceLikeHome and follow the instructions. I do hope you will join in. I know I have enjoyed doing it. Maybe next year after I get my new camera, I will be able to have and show some better pictures.

Saturday morning I got up early and had some coffee. I layed back down around 9:30a.m. and hubby had gotten up later on. The girls came and woke me up around noon and said for me to get up. Hubby had done been to unload his truck across the highway here and he was needing me to follow him out to the shop where he was suppose to leave it. We did that and after we did that, we went and bought groceries. For supper tonight, I fixed the girls and hubby a couple of Frozen Pizza's and I finished eating the Fried Chicken he had brought home to us on Friday night. Hey, there ain't nuthin' better than Cold Fried Chicken. It's good enough to make you want to slap yo' mammy. ROFLMBO. I don't know what we will have for our Sunday Dinner yet. Who knows, it may be a bologna sammich, or just whatever they can find to eat. LOL. I'm sorry, but I'm preparing myself for the big cooking day. I am having Black-Eyed Peas with homemade Buttermilk Cornbread and maybe some cabbage. I'm not sure on the cabbage just yet. I have a Ham Hock that I will be putting in my Black-Eyed Peas as well.

Well, guess I'll go for now. I am doing this a bit different today. Actually I'm posting this on Saturday night. So for all of my "Weather Fans", LOL, that is why I haven't given a temperature. I can tell you right now that it is 31 degrees here with no windchill at 7:40p.m. on this Saturday evening. Sorry, no coffee for me tonight. I'll just have some here when I get up in the morning. Yall take care my friends and have a great Sunday. May God Bless You and Yours.

LOVE & HUGS,

P.S. Yall don't mind the picture down below. I have no idea how it got on here. It is an Award that I had Diane to make for me to give to Pea for her Halloween Bash this past October. Oh well, I will learn one of these days how to get it off of hear. LOL.

It is 6:45 here and the temperature is -20 C so about -10 F, a bit of a nip in the air with the little bit of wind we are getting today.

WOW...what a nice boss to give your hubby the coupons that have brought your entire family so much pleasure and fun! I am so impressed with those kind of gifts. Doesn't it just blow your mind the way our GOD works to bring us joy? HE is so awesome and works in ways that delight us and make us so humble.
I can't wait for you to get all your "stuff"...the cameras are soooo easy to work now so you won't have a bit of trouble getting it figured out!

Hello dearest Karen:-)

I've spent the morning taking down some Christmas decorations but I'm now taking a break and doing some visits! Woohoooooo I'm SO very excited for you, getting a new digital camera!!!! Doing the happy dance for you:-) You will just love it and don't worry, they're not that hard to learn how to use so you'll do just fine. That truly was wonderful of your hubby's boss to give him all those coupons!!

My heart goes out to Susie, it's truly been a long road watching her Grandpa get worse and worse. My prayers are certainly with her!!

I didn't even get a chance to do a post today...Corey was leaving this morning so I made a nice breakfast for us and then after he left I had my usual cry. Always hard having to say goodbye:-( I then started taking down the decorations...much more fun putting them UP than DOWN! lol

Take care my friend and hope your day is going well:-) xoxo

Karen: When you're in editing to get the image off your blog, you must be in the "edit html" tab not the 'compose' tab [on the right hand top corner of the edit window] ---then, you should see the img src code. [I did when I did a 'view source' of your blog]

Karen, you'll enjoy having a digital camera. It took me quite a while to finally decide to get one, but I haven't looked back since. It makes life so much easier. You can check straight away to see if the picture is good, and if it isn't you can delete and try again. Happy New Year. I hope you and your family have a great 2008.

Karen,
Oh, you will love your new camera...it's so nice! What a wonderful gift your hubby's boss gave y'all. I also loved your trip down memory lane in pictures. Isn't it fun to look back at old photos of our family?

It's cold and rainy here today and I'm loving it! I have a pot of taco soup on the stove and am about to make some cornbread to go with it. I also baked a Sock It To Me cake for dessert. Sam and I are going to try to start eating healthier next year but seeing that it's still 2007, we're having cake!!
Enjoy your Sunday night, dear friend, and I'll holler at you later!

Wow. Cool. Your hubby has a very generous boss. :) Wonderful to get all those Christmas wishes off your family's wishlist. Reminded me of one of my dad's clients. He got a gift certificate at a jewelery store his client owned and he liked to buy all of us presents with it. One year I got all my bridesmaids their attendent's gifts with it. That was nice.

Sounds like a wonderful Christmas, Karen. Thanks for sharing. :)
