SATURDAY & GIVEAWAY'S

Good Saturday Mornin' Yall,
I do hope everyone had a great Friday and ready to start another new day. It is 28 degrees here this morning and no windchill. It's still dark outside as well. It sure was a cold day here yesterday. It was cloudy all day as well and the wind was blowing. They say that on New Year's Day we are suppose to be getting some very cold air, some of the coldest this season. They said the high's will struggle to get into the 30's for the high's and then low's going down into the teens at night. Now that's gonna be cold. We never know around here about this Arkansas weather tho.

I have a couple of Giveaways I would like to tell you about. The first Giveaway is Deena@CanIBePrettyInPink. It's a Book Giveaway and the name of the book is called "A Virtuous Woman" by Kaye Gibbons and Ellen Foster.

All you have to do is go visit Deena. You will have to scroll down to where it tells about the Giveaway. All you have to do is post a Blessing from 2007 and make sure she can reach you. The winner will be announced on January 1, 2008. Yall go over and visit Deena and enter to win. She is a really nice person. The other is a New Year's Giveaway. You will need to go to http://www.lacedwithgrace.com/. You can sign up thru January 1, 2008. Link from your blog and sign the Mr. Linky at Laced With Grace and the winner will be announced on January 2, 2008.

The package includes Women of Faith Study Bible(NIV/Hardcover), Lisa Whelchel's Bible Study Tools for Busy Mom's, a coffee mug from "Mugs of Truth", a DVD of "The Nativity Story", a book "Love & Respect", and a music CD by Becky Knight. Yall be sure to go over and enter this wonderful Giveaway as well.

Hubby made it home last night a little after 8:00p.m. I had a taste for some Fried Chicken and some Tater Babies. So, hubby had called me once and told me he was going to stop in Jonesboro and get fuel for his truck and I asked him to bring home some Fried Chicken and Tater Babies if they had any cooked. Well, bless his dear heart, he brought Momma home some Fried Chicken and Tater Babies. It sure did taste good and hit the spot. "THANK YOU" Dear Hubby for bringing home the food last night. "I LOVE YOU" very much.

The girls got home around 5:00p.m. yesterday afternoon. They had stayed all night with my Parents on Thursday night. My Sister took them to Jonesboro yesterday to see the movie "Alvin & The Chipmunks". They said it was a good and funny movie. I guess I will wait till it comes out on DVD. LOL. It cost too much to go see a movie these days. After they saw the movie, they went and ate Chinese.

I don't know what we will do today around here. Hubby and the girls are going to clean his truck out later this morning. Yesterday was his last day with this employer. He starts his new job on January 2, 2008. I need to go get a few groceries as well. Maybe it will warm up a bit later on and I can go buy a few things.

Well, yall take care and have a great Saturday. May God Bless You and Yours. I'm going to go and fix me a pot of coffee. Everyone else is still sleeping. I didn't set any alarm this morning. I just woke up on my own. Oh, by the way, did any of yall watch Paula Deen's "Paula's Party" last night? I seen it when it came back on at 11:00p.m. We were all in bed and me and my youngest Daughter was watching it. Hubby was just about to go to sleep. She was fixing to make the "Baked Alaska". She called on a guy from Jonesboro, AR there to help her make it. I hollered because I thought it was so cool that someone near where I live was on her show. Hubby wanted to know what was going on. He said I scared him to death. LOL. I just thought I would share that with you.

LOVE & HUGS,

LOL...on your hollering. MY birthtown was on Hee Haw once 'the population.....' I don't know if you ever watched that program or not, but when I hear my little podunk town in Nebraska, I hollered too. LOL

Now fried chicken....oh my. Love that stuff. Mashed potatoes and cream gravy...corn on the cob...:::sigh:::

You too, Karen, have yourself a great Saturday.

Good Morning....Karen !

I've been thinking about taking Gstormy to see the "Alvin & The Chipmunks"....I'm glad that you shared that it was a good movie.

As for the fried chicken....I'm with you too...it is one of my favorites. I know that you gave hubby a HUGE hug for bringing it home.

I could just see you....Karen....hollering out loud. I'm sure that it did scare hubby....but I bet then he just laughed and hugged you, too!

Keep warm if you have to weather the elements today.

Have a wonderful day my dear friend Karen!

Morning Karen (almost afternoon!) I'm going door to door now looking for coffee!!
Yes, I slept late again this morning. It's getting to be a habit and I need to break it. If I have to go back to work in Jan. it will be hard on me getting up early again.

How sweet of hubby to bring food for you. I love when Dave does that and I don't have to cook. I just don't like to cook any more but I also get tired of eating out. Nothin' like home cookin'!!

Have a good weekend with you family!

Hugs,
Hope

Hi Karen,

I'm glad you are having a nice day. It's cold here as well, but the sun is shining unlike yesterday when it rained most of the day.

Glad you got your fried chicken and tater babies. Is that the same as tater tots?

I've never watched Paula's show. I need to check into that.

VBS! I just love your stories! So good for the soul! Your blog looks so festive! Maybe one day you could tell me how to put stuff on the side bars - I just don't seem to get it...mehmehmeh....
I'm soooo glad you got your ornament - I was beginning to wonder. Praise God! He answers prayer - even for the little things! God bless your weekend, dear friend!

It's 1:15 pm but I'm still drinking coffee. Hope that counts. ;o)

I need to work on my Sunday Dinner post later and my awards page link. I just got disgusted with it the other night and quit. I hope I can get it done this time.

As of right now I don't know what I'm going to fix for supper tonight or for Sunday Dinner. I've got to go stand on my head in the freezer and make some decisions.

Have a good last weekend of 2007, Karen!

Love and hugs,

Diane

Brrr - that is cold. Although we have a little cold spell here too, but I don't think we have hit 28 yet :)

Thank you so much for stopping by Laced with Grace and for sharing the link with your readers.

Blessings to you and yours in 2008 and beyond.

Hello dear Karen:-)

I'm here at last! lol When I checked my bloglines this afternoon, there were 240 posts that I needed to read so you have all been busy posting! hehe I've missed you but then I also needed the break from the computer...now I feel refreshed and ready to blog for another year:-)

I've so enjoyed reading your last few posts...I'm so glad you had such a wonderful Christmas! I can well imagine how excited the girls were to open their presents that contained the cell phones:-) I love your village also!! It's so sad that now we have to take everything down again...I do that the day after New Year.

I just love the new look of your blog...I was having fun this afternoon with my Photoshop program I received for Christmas. I made a few headers for my blog and I think I'll leave it with the one I have there now:-)

Thank you for letting us know about all the various giveaways going on, will have to check them out! I just can't wait until life settles down around here and I can spend all my spare time blogging, I've been feeling so out of touch with everyone lately.

Take good care of yourself and I'll really try hard to send you some snow...we got another few inches of it during the night! lol xoxox

Good evening Karen. I was having a nice relaxing day today. The weather here has been a little above normal for this time of year. Right now it is -13 C but there is no wind at all.

LOL about hollering, I've done that too, scared my hubby silly, he thought I had fallen.

Have a wonderful evening and I will talk to you again later.

Hi Karen, it's already tomorrow here and i should really be asleep.
But I thought I'd have a quick peek at your blog and say hello. It sounds like you're going to be feeling very cold there. We've been promised some snow sometime, but I'm not sure when. In the new year I think.
