FOGGY FRIDAY

Good Friday Mornin' Yall,

I do hope everyone had a great Thursday and ready to start a new day. It is 45 degrees here this morning and a very foggy morning. I barely could see out my front door a bit ago when I looked out. It was a fairly nice day yesterday. At one time, the temperature was at 58 degrees. It stopped raining sometime after lunch but it stayed cloudy all day. It got a little chilly after dark. Not too bad tho. We are suppose to have more rain on Saturday.

Our girls won their Basketball game last night. We beat BIC 23 to 15. It was a good game. I'm glad to say there was no hitting or kicking like it was when we played them at home. Now I did see some of the looks on those girls faces, and if looks could kill, those looks would. But they didn't do anything like before. A friend of mine, whose daughter plays on our team as well, came up and told me that after the game, down on BIC's side, that some of the parents of BIC and the BIC coach almost got into a fist fight. I didn't see it because I was sitting on the other end of the bleachers. But, I know this woman wouldn't lie about a thing like this. She is a good Christian Woman. I did see a couple of the BIC's Mother's stand up during the last half of the game yelling at the referee's really loud a couple of times. That still show's bad Sportsmanship for them tho. But anyway, we still won the game and the girls played really good last night. GO REBELS. We don't have any more games until after the Christmas Break is over with.

As you can see, I am late in posting. Way late huh? LOL. It's going to be like this while the girls are out of School. Hubby made it home last night while we were at the Basketball game and will be home till next Wednesday. He will leave out then and be back home on the weekend. After that, he will be done with this job, but "THANK GOD" he has a job waiting for him on January 2, 2008. It's going to be a tough time financially around here for the next few weeks, but we will get thru it. We all stayed up late last night and we slept in today. It was almost 9:00a.m. before I got up. I got up and started some coffee and then hubby got up shortly after nine. The girls are just now getting up also. So, if you see that I haven't posted early, you know I am sleeping in and will post when I get up and have my coffee. I still have lots of things to do before Christmas Eve, so I may not be able to post at all. But if time permits, I will try to post something.

Our girls are staying all night with my Parents tonight. They are going to take the girls to Jonesboro, AR tomorrow to see the Winter Wonderland. They have a place on Main Street that is all decorated up with Christmas things and they give out candy. Our youngest Daughter went there when she was in Kindergarten and hubby and me met them there. It was beautiful. I really enjoyed it. They have added alot more things to it since then. They are looking forward to going to that tomorrow. This will mean another night of alone time for me and hubby. We are planning on going shopping a bit, but since this was a short week also, we will have to wait and see. He is waiting on his check as I'm typing this. His boss is fixing all the checks up right now. I may end up just going to our local Dollar General Store and buying a few things.

Well, news is short this morning. I want everyone to take care and have a great Friday. May God Bless Each and Everyone of You. In case I don't have the time to post before Christmas, I will wish each and everyone of you a "MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR". Take care my friends and enjoy this Christmas with all of your loved ones.

LOVE & HUGS,

Good Morning Karen,
I just knew you'd be layin in that bed this morning cause I went over to Lib's and you hadn't been there to hog the coffee!! lol Feels good to be able to do that sometimes, don't it? It will be nice that your hubby can be home with you all too.

I'm glad the Rebels won their game. You know, I think that 90% of the time it's the parents stirring up trouble between the teams and not the kids. At one of my grandson's baseball games they had to ask one of the father's to leave the field entirely. He kept getting louder, yelling at his own son too and distracting him. Then he started using some bad words and the coaches ask him to leave the field area. He could stand outside the fence and watch. It sure quieted him down too. I think it embarassed him in front of all those people.

Well, if you aren't going to have time to blog, at least try to check in with us over the holiday. If you don't I won't have anybody to fight with over the coffee :) and I'll just plain miss you!!

Hugs,
Hope

I love red poinsettias, too - they are supposed to represent the blood of Jesus, which is why I think they like white around here in my office.

Yes, it's good that Kristen lives right down the street from me. Have you ever visited her blog? She writes well and tells the cute things her kids say and do. She's at http://lifeofacoffeemama.blogspot.com/, in case you haven't found her.

I know you'll have a wonderful Christmas, no matter what. I'm happy that your husband has a better job to go to after the New Year.

Where are you located in relation to Heber Springs? I lived there years ago from 1st to 5th grades.

Hi, Karen. It's almost noon and it's STILL foggy out there! Chris Castleman said on the weather a while ago that Arkansas, Mississippi and I think it was Tennessee are all socked in with thick fog. I don't know when it's supposed to lift. Y'all be careful if you get out in it.

They're calling for snow on Christmas day, and into next Thursday but they're not giving any accumulations yet. Can you believe it?! We'll see. That's still a long way off yet.

Y'all have a good day, and Merry Christmas to you and yours, Karen. ;o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

I hope you are having a good day. You mentioned you are late posting. At least you are posting. I haven't posted anything in two or three days.

I'm glad your girls won the game. I know you are proud of them.

Another night with just you and hubby. Enjoy your alone time together.

Thank you for the good wished for Christmas, and I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and the best of New Years.

I've been wondering where the heck you were, young lady! haha...I've been so busy this morning, baking, that I just run in here for a minute or two of blogging and run back. Yep....me, too, on the not much time before C. Eve. I will continue to blog but may not be able to do much visiting.
I do hope this is one of the most blessed Christmases ever for you and your family. God bless and keep you.

Girl, there "ain't" nothing wrong with shopping at Dollar General - I went there today myself and loaded up on stocking stuffers. We travel to Mississippi quite a bit (gulf coast casinos for husband and shopping for me) and there are some really beautiful homes there. I am planning on posting some pictures one day of the devastation in Biloxi and Gulf Port I took last December - it's like looking at a war zone! The homes on the highway between Biloxi and Gulf Port were for the most part wiped out. The news pictures could not even begin to show how it really looks, so very, very sad.
Have a wonderful Saturday - Judy

I'm so glad to hear the girls won their basketball game the other night, they truly are a great team:-)

I think a lot of us will be slack in blogging and visiting for the next few days...'tis the season!! Enjoy your time with your family and may you all be blessed with a wonderful Christmas filled with love. xoxo

It's a shame when so called adults spoil sports for their kids. It's supposed to be fun, darn it!!

A very Merry Christmas to all of you. At some point, I'll post the awards and may take someone else's idea and create a separate page with a link. I'm so far behind now, it's ridiculous.

Hugs from not so sunny California.

Hi Karen!
Oh I LOVE fog!!! I just love it...especially when we're at the beach and you can hear the gulls but not see them. And then a special treat is hearing a fog horn way out in the distance....so so cool

I'm glad they won!!! I had to laugh at the parents/coaches getting into a fist fight...not too 'parental or adult'...but still I can 'see it'.

Glad to hear that hubby will be home for the holiday. And it's always good to know there is a job waiting for him too. Finances are just that...somehow, things always turn out. No matter.

Happy Sunday.

It's so sad about the parents behaving so badly at the game. If only they could see that they are ruining the good that sports does for a child by teaching them such poor sportsmanship. People like that shouldn't be allowed at the games!

We are having rain, rain and more rain which is to be expected in these parts at this time of year. I know snow id lovely to look at during Christmas. Theres something magical about it, but it is so dangerous to drive in.

Good news about the hubby getting work.

Have a lovely Christmas dear, even if it's a foggy one.

OOPS!!! Karen I keep forgetting to thank you for the lovely awards you gave me. I don't know how to put them on my blog, but I want to be sure you know I am grateful. It was so sweet of you.

It's been foggy here, too. We had rain yesterday. Today we got sleet. Temperatures dropped. That means icy conditions. Ugh.

Merry Christmas, Karen, to you and yours.
