WIPED-OUT WEDNESDAY

Good Wednesday Mornin' Yall,

I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday. It is mostly cloudy here this morning. They say we are suppose to get some more rain today and could be possibly severe. I can take the rain, but I don't like it when it gets severe. It is 71 degrees as I am posting. A cold front is coming through later on and it is suppose to get cold here again. I have had the air-conditioner on for a few days now. I'll have to turn the heat on later on tonight or early in the morning. The high tomorrow is suppose to be only in the 50's and the low down to 32 degrees tomorrow night. I wish it would make up it's mind if it is going to be cold or warm. No wonder everyone is having problems with their sinuses and having colds.

I would like to "THANK" Tammy of My Gentle Retreat for awarding me with the Community Blogger Award. I feel so honored to have received this award. This is my second award already. Tammy is such a sweet person. I love reading her blogs. She is just down to earth. I mentioned her blog yesterday as My Little Retreat, but it's actually My Gentle Retreat. I was so into her Barbie commentary yesterday and was just blown away with it that I lost my thoughts I suppose. I am truly sorry for the mistake Tammy. I will be sure to pass this award on Tammy and again "THANK YOU" so much for this award and for welcoming me on your blog. I would also like to "THANK" Granny of RocRebel Granny for welcoming me on her blog yesterday. I really appreciate this very much. I am really enjoying the blogging and meeting new friends. May God Bless Each and Everyone of You.

Well, the reason this is Wiped-Out Wednesday is because my oldest daughter had another ballgame last night. I tell ya, I'm glad they don't have anymore until next Monday night. I don't think I could stand another night of close games. They did win last night. They beat Armorel, AR 23 to 21. That last quarter was a doozy. It was just too close for comfort. But at least we won it. "GO REBELS"!!!! Some of these teams that we have been playing for the last 3 years have either gotten better and some even have some new players. I just don't know if I am going to be able to make it through the whole basketball season or not. Their season doesn't end until the end of January. Who knows, I may be bald by the end of January. LOL. I get really wrapped up in these games. And there was no violence in this game either like the one last week. I would like to "THANK" each one that commented on my daughter's pictures from yesterday. They are very precious to me and hubby.

We finished up "Hubby's Hobo Stew" last night for our supper. I don't know what we will have tonight. Hubby is still hauling fertilizer today. I'm thinking maybe having breakfast for our supper, but I'm not really sure just yet. I'm sure I will let you all know tomorrow what I fixed. LOL.

Gas prices have been on the rise here lately. I tell ya, we have been going up to Red Onion, MO to get our gas. It is across the state line about 20 miles from where we live. It is cheaper up there. If gas keeps going up, I don't know what people are going to do. We may have to start traveling by horse and buggy like they used to years ago. And also, all the recalls on the foods and toys. It's just getting worse and worse each day. We may also have to start growing our own food and livestock like they did years ago also. I've never had to live that way, but I'm sure if I had to I would get used to it. It would take me a while, but I know I could do it to survive. Also, the medicine recalls lately. I was reading over at Mountain Mama's the other day about some home remedies she had wrote about. We may have to go back to things like that also. Now I do remember when I was younger, I was sick one time with the flu and my parents fixed me a hot totty and I had to stay in bed covered up with about 100 quilts. LOL But you know what, it broke my fever and I got to feeling better. Anyway, I guess that is my sermon for the day. LOL.

I have a prayer request from everyone. There is a couple that lives here in our town. Their youngest daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor last October. ( I can't remember what it was called) Anyway, they lost her this past August. She was 6 years old. She was just a sweetheart. The mother is really down and all especially with the holidays coming up. This will be their first year without her for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I would like for you all to lift this family up in your prayers during this hard time for them. They do have an older daughter that is the same age as my daughter and in the same grade. They are such a wonderful family. I do think they are taking a cruise this year for Christmas. The mother said that she didn't think they could just have Christmas at home this year. I can't even fathom the idea of losing a child. It just breaks my heart and to see them going through this. They are a Christian family and the mother knows her daughter is in heaven. But, it was her baby, and it is hard on her and still fresh on her mind.

Well, guess I will go for now. Just thought I would blog and do an update. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday and God Bless Each and Everyone of You.

Hugs to all,

Hi Karen,
You've really had the temperature fluctuations there!
Congratulations on your newest award :)
My heart and prayers go out to the family that lost their little girl to a brain tumor. I lost my own sweet Mom to that same illness, and I can only imagine the severe pain of losing an innocent child.

Karen,

So nice to meet you. Tammy is a dear. I visit her blog on a daily basis except when time runs short.

I have a friend who lives in Paris, Arkansas and we went down in 2005 to visit her. I loved the area and would have loved to have seen more of Mount Magazine. We're hoping to go back one year.

I will keep the family who lost their daughter in my prayers. It will be very hard for them this year.

Blessings,
Mary

Hi, Karen. It's rainy and bit stormy here right now. The temp has dropped 20 degrees in the last hour!

I don't know that family by name, but some friends that go to my church live in Manila and they know the family. We had them on our prayer list for a good while until the little girl died back in the Summer. I can't imagine what they're going through. It's hard enough to lose an adult, much less a child or baby.

Hope you and yours are doing well, and you're feeling better. I'm still croaking and hoarse, but a little better overall.

Love hugs,

Diane

PS: Congrats on your blog award! ;o)

Hi Karen, I thought I'd pop in over here from Beth's place.

My heart goes out to the family. To lose a daughter. It's rough during the holidays with a loss like that. Definitely will think of them and pray for them.

Karen, Yes that is my house on the front of my blog and thank you. I kinda like it myself. Sorry to hear about your Aunt and her illness, I will keep you and your family in my prayers also the family that you posted about. My oldest sister died, before I was born, and my Mom said that is the hardest thing to do, bury a child. The temps here are going crazy too. Right now, we are having heavy rain, and the temps are to start dropping. It was very warm today. Girl, you are going have to come for a visit. I believe us southern girls could rousle up some fun. Hope you and yours have a blessed day.

Good evening Mz Karen:-) How's that...I visited you this morning and now visiting you in the evening, such a wonderful way of starting and ending my day!! I love reading your newsy posts and finding out how your day has been. You seem to be having the same type of weather we are...can't make up its mind! lol

Woohoo GO REBELS again!! Great to hear they won two games in a row...you're going to need some tranquilizers for the games! LOL

Congrats to you on the Community Blogger Award...you deserve every award out there:-) Tammy is certainly a dear...she and I "met" when we both started blogging over a year ago and she's become such a wonderful friend.

Gas prices went up here too...today it was $1.05 a liter which makes it $4.20 a gallon. I'm just about ready to buy that horse and buggy you were talking about!!

What a very sad story about that family having lost their little girl to a brain tumor...they are in my prayers. I lost a baby on Dec. 20th, 1979 (I was 8 1/2 months pregnant) so that time of year is always a little hard on me too, emotionally.

Have a wonderful evening and "see" you tomorrow:-) Love ya! xoxo
