Good Tuesday Mornin' Yall,
I hope everyone is awake this morning. I am sitting here having my morning coffee and listening to the news. It is 59 degrees as I am sitting here posting this. Suppose to get up to about 72 degrees. But they say, big changes are in store for us by Thanksgiving.
My youngest daughter had her basketball practice last night. They have cancelled the game that was suppose to be tonight. It has been rescheduled until next Monday. Next week she has a game on Monday night, Tuesday night, and possibly Wednesday night. Her coach was saying something about a tournament at Luxora on Wednesday night. They are suppose to be playing for some kind of charity organization. I'm sure he will give us more details next week as time gets closer. I'm glad the game for tonight has been cancelled because I need to do some things to get ready for our Thanksgiving dinner.
I want to "THANK" Mary of Mary's Writing Nook for giving her American Friends the Thanksgiving Banner. I am honored that she did this and I so appreciate it very much. You may notice it on my sidebar. Also, I would like to "THANK" Renie of Renie Burghardt's World and BJ of Sweet Nothings on my newest awards. Renie gave me the "I'm Fabulous Award". "THANK YOU" so much Renie. I really appreciate it so much and honored that I received it. Another "THANK YOU" goes to BJ of Sweet Nothings for giving me the "Rockin' Girl Blogger Award". "THANK YOU" so much BJ. I so appreciate this award also and am honored to have received this award. I tell ya, I feel like I'm on the Red Carpet today on receiving these awards. So, if you have the time, please go over and visit these 2 blogs. They are such nice women. I have them on my blogroll as well. Again, "THANK YOU" ladies for these wonderful awards.
Hubby had some bad luck so to speak yesterday. He left here Sunday at noon with a load that was going to Burns, Kansas. Well, he gets up there around 10:30p.m. Sunday night and shuts down. Well, he calls me yesterday morning about 7:20a.m. and said he was in the wrong town. The paperwork he had said Burns, KS. Well, come to find out it was suppose to go to Bern, KS. Someone had mispelled the name of the town. Needless to say, he was like 200 miles from Bern, KS. But he finally gets to the right place and gets unloaded. He was so disgusted by that. He was really upset and all. Seems like every week he has some kind of problem. If it's not going to the wrong place, it's his truck breaking down. He told me he has just got to get out of trucking. I ask that yall pray that something better will come his way. He may be home sometime tonight. He had to go to Kansas City, MO and pick up a load last night that delivers in Memphis, TN today. I've got to call him at 7:00a.m. to wake him up. I can't wait until he does get home. He is going to help me cook our turkey for our Thanksgiving dinner. He always does. He is such a wonderful man.
I would also like to mention that Purple Cucumber is having a Christmas Folk Art Giveaway. This is the painting she did herself. She is also going to give away 7 prints also. The drawing is on December 10th. Here is the link to where you need to go: http://jessielavon.blogspot.com/. Please go over there and sign up. This is such a beautiful piece of artwork. I wish everyone that goes over and signs up "GOOD LUCK". This would look beautiful on someone's wall for Christmas.
As I told yall, I am cooking Thanksgiving Dinner for us this year. My parents and sister are coming to eat with us also. Here is what I'm cooking: Turkey, Dressing, Potato Salad, My Cabbage Casserole that I posted yesterday, and a cheesecake. My mom and sister are going to bring some things also. My hubby loves my dressing and potato salad. He won't eat anyone else's dressing. Used to when we had Thanksgiving and Christmas with his side of the family, I would have to bring the dressing. No one else would attempt to make it. So, I always made a big pan of it. I'm not the type of person that measures things out. I just put stuff in there and eyeball it you could say. LOL. Now, what is on your Thanksgiving Menu for this Thanksgiving? You can share if you so feel to.
I would like to "THANK" everyone for the condolences of the family friend that I posted about yesterday. I really appreciate it very much. I would just like to say, since I have been blogging, I have become to really appreciate all myblogging friends. You are all like a family to me. Too bad there isn't some kind of convention or something where we could all get together and meet for a weekend. That would be so awesome. I would especially love to meet a couple of my Canadian friends.
I'm not sure if I'm going to post tomorrow or not. I may post something short if I do. Today is the kids last day of school. They will be off the rest of the week. I won't have to set any alarms tomorrow. We will just wait and see. If I don't post, I would like to wish everyone now a "HAPPY THANKSGIVING". May God Be With You and Yours and have a Blessed Day with Family and Friends.
Well, I guess I'm gonna go and start visiting my friends on my blogroll. I know I will have to check back from time to time because all of us are in different time zones and all. Yall take care and have a great Tuesday. If you are going to be traveling, may God Watch and Be With You wherever you are going and have a safe trip home. May God Bless Each and Everyone of You.
Love & Hugs to All,

Karen, I'd just like to say you seem to be the sweetest and most caring person and I'm very glad I am one of your blogging friends!
Your T. dinner sounds delicious...we are having all the traditional things, turkey and all the trimmings. I'm not sure my dressing is as good as yours but it does get eaten ea. year.
Blessings to all of you and have a wonderful day on Thanksgiving with your family.
And, I sent that award to you 'cause YOU ROCK!

Congratulations on your awards!! :) I like how you put a frame around the Rockin' Girl award. :)
Your Thanksgiving sounds wonderful. There are a couple of recipes I just don't measure out. I just put a dash of this and some of that, so I know what you mean. We are just going to go to my MIL's.
My ex husband was a trucker so I understand the frustrations of trucking.
God bless you. Take care and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Wow, you are a big award winner. Congrats! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Nan

Well, I can go a little later, I guess. :)
Just stopping by to wish you a good Thanksgiving with your family. Our weather is going down into the deep freeze by tomorrow. It's already much cooler than yesterday, which was like spring.
My son and his wife are traveling across Wyoming, which can always be a bit scary this time of year. I pray they have good roads and a wonderful time with their cousins.
Karen you are so much fun!! I love coming over here and seeing what in the world you are up too!
You are sweet and caring, just like every one said!
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving! We will have Turkey and all the trimmings! and eat way to much!
I have posted a new post today and then I will take a little break!! How long that will that last!! lol
Karen - Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We're eating here as usual. I'm having Krogers do the turkey and the sides and I'll make the stuffing. My daughter is making the required green bean casserole and pumpkin pie for dessert.
Karen,
I'm glad you enjoyed the Thanksgiving graphic that I presented to all of my readers. It looks great on your sidebar.
I'm glad that your husband will be home for Thanksgiving. Have a great celebration.
Take care, my friend and thanks so much for stopping by and commenting on my blog.
Blessings,
Mary
I'm still not feeling my best, so I don't know if I'll post tonight or not. I have a couple of pork chops out to fry and I don't know what else I'll fix with it. Maybe some spinach and scrambled eggs. Lamar will probably want some gravy.
When you get my email, if you'll pick out 2 or 3 of those pictures for me to work on, I'll make up some headers for you to choose from.
Hope your hubby gets home safely and y'all have a blessed Thanksgiving.
Love and hugs,
Diane
Karen the food sounds wonderful and I'll bet you are a great cook!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Karen,
First of all I want to thank you so much for visiting my blog. It means so much to me!
We're having turkey, ham, pistachio salad, corn, beans, pumpkin pie, potatos, gravy and tamales for Thanksgiving dinner. The kids still have school tomorrow, so I should be able to get a few things prepared ahead of time. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything, as I had to stop by the store this evening and they were packed. Sure it will be worse tomorrow.
Hope you and your family have a warm and relaxing Thanksgiving!
Cynthia
Praying for you and your family to have a very blessed thanksgiving. Thank you for the birthday wishes.
Good morning dear Karen:-) I didn't have time to visit yesterday so I'm starting early this morning!! Always such a pleasure to read your posts.
You'll certainly be busy next week with all those basketball games...good luck to your daughter and her team:-)
Congratulations on being given those awards, you truly do deserve every one that comes your way! You may not have been blogging long but you sure are doing it right with your warmth and honesty:-)
I can well imagine how frustrating your hubby's job can be at times...I guess it's not all fun like they show in "Smokey and the Bandit" movies? lol My prayers are certainly with him that he may find another job!!
Your Thanksgiving dinner sounds like it will be so yummy...know that I'll be thinking of you surrounded by all your loved ones:-)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, my friend!!! Love you! xoxox
