TGIF

THANK GOODNESS IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!
Happy November everyone. I hope everyone has recovered from Halloween. I'm glad you liked your award Pea. I have to let you in on a secret tho. I didn't actually make that button. It was Diane, of Diane's Place, that made it for me. See, I still haven't learned that stuff yet. I talked to her on the phone the other night and she walked me thru the steps on how to add it and all and also adding my blogroll and links to my sidebar. "THANK YOU" so much again dear Diane. You are a great person. I am still in the process of learning and all. But anyway Pea, I'm glad you liked your award. I just felt the need to do it because of your outstanding Halloween Bash.
Well, it sure was cold outside here this morning. It was like 41 when I took the kids to school around 7:30a.m. We also had a light frost. Yep, Jack Frost got on the Pumkins around here last night. They say next week, I think maybe Tuesday, the high's are only gonna be in the 50's and the low's in the 30's. I did see where it was 29 degrees this morning in West Plains, MO. My girls had to wear the big coats this morning to school.
My daughter won their basketball game last night. They won 26-20. They played some really good ball last night. There was alot of team work going on also. My daughter even scored 2 points. GO REBELS!!!!! They don't have a game this Saturday, so looks like I might get to sleep late. WOOHOO!!!!!
Does everyone have any big plans for the weekend? I don't that I know of. Hubby won't be home till probably tomorrow morning. I am still sick. It seems like my cold is trying to settle down in my chest some. I would love to be able to just stay in bed all weekend and let everyone wait on my. I don't see that ever happening around here tho. Well, hubby would cook for us tho. I don't like him cooking in my kitchen because he seems to always make a big mess and mess up every dish in the house. LOL Maybe I can talk him into cooking something out on the grill. He makes some great burgers and hotdogs on the grill. The kids usually help him and they love it too.
I would like to congratulate Barb, A Chelsea Morning, on going to be a Grandma to a Baby Girl. I know she is so excited about it. I already know that baby is going to be spoiled. LOL
Well, guess I'll go for now. Don't know if I will post anymore this weekend. Hubby just called and said it will be tomorrow morning before he gets home. I always love to spend every moment I can with him when he is home. Even if it isn't nothing but watching television together or listening to him play his guitar. At least he is right there close to me and I can look over and see him. If I don't post, I hope everyone has a great weekend. Take care everyone.
Hugs,
Karen H.

Thanks for stopping by today. I love the look of a log cabin, too, but I'd want it to have all the modern conveniences!

Have a good week-end and I hope that nasty old cold just disappears!

Hi Karen,

I'm sorry to hear that you still have that cold. Hope you can really rest up and get rid of it soon. That's wonderful about your daughter's school winning the basketball game!

Wow, 41 is warm compared to our temperatures of 33 this morning. Really had to dig a warm jacket out of the closet. And next week after the warm up, we'll hit the upper 20s at night. Brrr! I don't like the cold! Today is perfect though with sunshine and 64 degrees.

My weekend plans include a drive to see the colors that are just now starting to look pretty. Sunday is church, of course, then we're off to a buffet lunch.

Thanks for visiting this morning. Have a nice weekend, and get well soon!

Hugs,

Renie

PS. I had a friend take my picture yesterday, and managed to post it in my profile. For a tech challenged gal, I was proud of myself for accomplishing that. lol

Hi Karen,

Enjoyed your visits to my blog. Take care of that cold bug and get plenty of rest. The last few mornings have been mighty chilly, but so beautiful. There's something about that first crisp, biting autumn cold that makes a person feel so alive. My oldest daughter is home this weekend from college and it's always such a joy to have her home. We spend time just catching up on chit-chat and visitng and planning for her summer wedding. I love having both my girls home. I am putting the big vegetable garden to bed for the winter and cooking up a storm this weekend. I always make several casseroles to freeze for DD to take to her apartment. This cold weather puts me in the mood to bake up some bread from scratch. Maybe some cheese breads and whole wheat loaf or two. YUMMM. Have a good weekend hon and hope that cold goes away. Happy November to you Karen! xo Jen ps. your blog looks great! That Diane is a tech wiz and just a general wiz at everything she does! She has helped me with some computer questions too. What a sweet lady. :)

It was a tad bit chilly here this morning too! But later on it was just near perfect! Very sweet of Diane to help you with your blog. She is a sweetheart!! There is still so much that I don't have a clue how to do. Oh well. I can read and comment and post, so I guess that's what counts the most!!

Hope your cold gets better. Have a great weekend!

Saw you over at Diane's and dropped over to say hi.

I lived in Jonesboro for 8 years back in the 70's and remember Caraway well.

Hi, Karen. Sorry you're still fighting the creeping crud. I've got a cold myself and woke up croaking like a frog, but I'm better right at the moment. Hope it's not worse in the morning. We're still planning to go to Memphis to Red Lobster with our friends, then the hayride and weinie roast Saturday night.

Y'all have a great weekend! ;o)

Hugs,

Diane

Karen,
I'm sorry that you are suffering from a cold on the weekend! Try and rest when you can. Enjoy that husband and children every moment that you can. He is more precious than you know... they are a wonderful jewel added to a woman's life...if you are fortunate enough to have a good and loving husband and father for your children.

Thanks for your visit and sweet comments. Take care dear one!

I'm so sorry to hear you've been under the weather! The weather changes probably don't help but it's to be expected this time of year! We are pretty cool here too but I'm loving it...right now...
