MONDAY MORNIN'

Good Monday Mornin' Yall,

I do hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It is cloudy here this morning. It had done come a shower when I took the girls to school this morning. It hadn't done anything when hubby left for work this morining. There is a 30% chance of rain for today and tonight. Hubby is getting to be home again at nights for a few more days. His boss his having him to haul fertilizer again from Caruthersville, MO to Monette, AR. So, that is a blessing to me.

I am sitting here drinking my coffee wondering what I will talk about today. First of all, I would like for us all to lift Pea from Pea's Corner up. All of you that read her blog probably know what happened in her neighborhood over the weekend. Let's all remember Pea today and pray that she will overcome the unsafeness again. We love you Pea and we lift you up today. God Bless and be with you our Dear Pea.

We went to my mother's yesterday and had dinner. My sister had cooked a roast with potatoes and carrots and another dish with ribs and potatoes and carrots. We had some french style green beans and cornbread to go with it. She had made a chocolate cake for dessert. It was all delicious. I didn't even cook supper last night since we had a good lunch. Kids had a lunchable and I had a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Hubby had a slice of pizza to eat. I did do 2 loads of laundry yesterday afternoon after we got back also.

Well, my oldest daughter has another ballgame tonight. They play Manila, AR tonight here. I sure hope nothing happens like it did last week when we played BIC. My youngest daughter will be cheerleading tonight at the game. This is her first time to cheer at the games this year. This is her first time to cheer also. I will have to take a picture of her as well as my oldest daughter in her ball uniform and post them maybe tomorrow. I will use my cell phone to take their pictures. Hubby used my cell phone Saturday afternoon when he was cooking his Hobo Stew. Me and hubby has a cell phone just alike. They take pretty good pictures.

I want to mention that Carolyn at Magpie-Pixie is having her first Christmas Giveaway. She has several beautiful things she has put together for this giveaway. She has 2 bags and you can choose your own bag. If you have the time, go over and register to win. Good luck to everyone! I think I have some serious addiction to this blogging now. LOL. Oh, I still have lots to learn tho. Everyone has been so nice and kind in helping me and giving me advice. I really do appreciate each and everyone of you.

I didn't sleep too good last night. I don't know why. Must have been the caffeine in the chocolate cake I had yesterday. LOL. It was around 2:30a.m. before I finally dozed off to sleep. My alarm went off at 4:45a.m. I had to get up and start my coffee and get hubby up at 5:00a.m. I will probably get me a little nap later on.

I started reading "Mistletoe Bay" last night. I didn't get very far because my youngest daughter came and got in the bed with me and wanted to play a game with her Bible. She wanted to play "Before and After". I don't know where she got this game from or she just made it up. But, she would ask me what came before Genesis and after Genesis. We played this for a while. She loves to be next to her Mommy and just play and talk. So, I may read some more later on today while the house is quiet.

I joined in the fun at Mightymom's this past Thursday playing Thearsus Thursday. It was really fun. There was a 3-way tie on the Silly Goose Award. I was one of those 3. Thank You Mightymom for this award. I had so much fun and I plan to go back again this Thursday and play again. If you have never played, you should go over and give it a try. This is the first time I have ever won anything like this and I am really excited about it. Diane of Diane's Place won the Smarty Pants Award. She is just a wiz. Congratulations Diane on your award. I also want to congratulate Subvet and Pinky on winning the Silly Goose Award with me. Again, "THANK YOU" Mightymom for this award. I will treasure this always because this is my very first award.

Well, I guess I have about run out of things to talk about this morning. I do hope that everyone has a wonderful Monday. Take care and God Bless each and everyone of you.

Hugs to all,

karen, Hello! Wow, you brought tears to my eyes! Good ones!! My dear sweet Mother used to tell me the same , that all they recieved for Christmas was a piece of fruit and a toy. Mom would tell me how happy that made them. I was the youngest of four and I never had boxes and boxes like today. It kinda makes me sad how overboard my daughter goes for my grandsons, I keep reminding her of the need to remember what the day is really about. Thanks for bringing back a fond memory this morning! Hi Karen,

Just dropped in to say good morning. It's overcast here as well, but at least mild and pleasant. Sounds like you're keeping busy with the girls and hubby. I'm getting ready for company next week, so have been pretty busy myself. Have a great day, and God bless!

It's a cloudy day in Colorado as well. But it's good to have a bit of fall feeling in the air, instead of the warm we've been having.

Thanks for stopping by - I wanted to let you know that I amended my post today to make it clear that I was NOT driving 55 mph when I took those pictures - I was sitting on a rise to get a good shot of the various stages of the sunrise.

Have a great day!

Karen,
Always interesting to catch up on everything that's happening in your life. So sweet of you to offer prayers for Pea. Wasn't that just so unsettling for her neighborhood.

Dearest Karen, you are such a sweetheart and I feel so blessed to have you as a friend...thank you so very much for your words of comfort and prayers. You'll never know how much they mean to me. I know I can always count on my blogging friends to help me through a difficult time. I will feel better once all the police cars are gone, the yellow tape is removed from around the house and the forensic van gone!!!

I'm so glad you have your hubby with you for a few more nights:-) Sounds like you had a lovely time at your mom's yesterday...wish I could have been there too for some of that delicious sounding food!!! Yummmm on the chocolate cake! hehe

Hope the game went well for your oldest daughter and there wasn't too much roughing! You mentioned your youngest was cheerleading for the first time...hope you got pictures:-)

Congratulations on getting the Silly Goose award...Mightymom's Thesaurus Thursdays are always so much fun!!

Hope you sleep better tonight...hope I do too! lol Love you. xoxox

We didn't have rain yesterday but did have clouds. Sounds like you had a wonderful time over at your Mothers's. I remember when my kids use to jump up in the bed with me. Gosh, sometimes I wish they were little again. Hope you and yours have a blessed day.

Hey, Karen. I'm still not feeling my best, but a bit better than I was on Saturday/Sunday.

I'm going to try to put up a new post here in a little while.

Hope all is well in your world. :-)

Hugs,

Diane
