FRIGID FRIDAY

G-G-G-Gooood Friday Afternoon Yall,

Burrrr!!!!! Yeap, you guess it alright. It is cold here today. The South has gone "COLD TURKEY". LOL It is 38 degrees with a windchill of 30 as I am typing this. It was 31 when I first got up around 9:00a.m. this morning. A good day to stay in and decorate and drink coffee and enjoy leftovers. LOL It was a cold and cloudy day here on Thanksgiving also. The sun did pop out around 4:30p.m. I think it is suppose to get up into the 50's by Sunday and start raining. I want some snow so bad so I can make some snow cream. That would be good to eat while you are warm and toasty inside.

I do hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a good time here at our house with my parents and sister. We had Turkey, (which hubby did an outstanding job of cooking - it was so moist and tender - "THANK YOU MY DEAR HUBBY"), Homemade turkey and dressing that I made, my Stove Top Cabbage Casserole, (I made it a little different this time - but it was still delicious), Potato Salad that I made, and I heated up some dinner rolls that my sister brought up here when she picked the girls up Tuesday afternoon. My mother brought some green beans and Congealed Salad and a Diabetic Coconut Cream Pie. My sister brought some Ewie Gewie Bars. My mother also brought the cranberry sause and some pickles. It was all so delicious and we all ate too much. My parents carried some food home with them and we still had leftovers. Guess what we will be having the next couple of days? LOL You guessed it right. Leftovers. Aint nothing wrong with leftovers. We do leftovers all the time. Sometimes they taste better the next day. I was so tired last night and my back was hurting. I got hubby to rub some equate mentholatum rub on it and I took 2 generic tylenol pm's and I went to bed. I am feeling some better today. I slept in today. I got up around 9:00a.m and hubby was already up and had some coffee made. When he is home, I usually have to make 2 pots because I drink quiet a bit. I am used to drinking a whole pot when he is not here. I am drinking some as I am typing now. I am also doing laundry. Sure wish I had a maid to do my work for me. LOL. Not really, I'm just dreaming here. I have my way of doing things and I don't like anyone else to do them.

We put our Christmas tree up yesterday evening. Hubby and girls went to the other house and got the tree out of the storage shed. They forgot the decorations, so I went back over there with them and got the decorations. I brought alot of decorations that I hadn't used in a long time. I still have a sack of ornaments for the tree that I need to go back over there and find. It's too cold right now. LOL. But it still is beautiful. I will post some pictures on here in the next few days. I want to do some more decorating also. The girls decorated their bedrooms also. They already had a small fiber optic tree that I had bought them several years ago. I had to go to the Dollar General Store last night and get some more lights, and while I was there, I bought them another small tree without anylights but was already decorated with pine cones and other things. I found some Christmas stuffed animals in my boxes last night also, and they put them in their room also. I still need to get my Christmas village from the other house and get it put up. I am in a decorative mood this year for some reason. I think it has alot to do with this blogging thing. LOL. I see all my friends talking about decorating, so I have to as they say "KEEPING UP WITH THE JONES'". LOL. No, seriously, I am wanting to decorate more this year though. I may want to do the Christmas Homes of Tour. But, I'm not sure how to do this and if any of yall could give me some info, I would really appreciate it. It may be too late to do it, I don't really know.

Yesterday when my parents were here, we decided to have Christmas at our house this year on Christmas Eve. We normally go to one of my Sister-In-Laws house on Christmas Eve and then my parents house on Christmas Day. But due to the lack of funds this year, hubby said we are going to stay home and have Christmas here. So, all we are buying for this year is the kids. "THANKS" to my wonderful Father, we were able to buy the girls a new cell phone for their big Christmas present this year. I seen one online and we don't have Credit Cards, so my Wonderul Father let us use his. They had free shipping and handling on it also. Of course we will pay them back, but at least we have that much out of the way. We will try and get them a couple of outfits from us also. That will be their Christmas from "SANTA" this year. My sister and parents always buy them lots of presents also. So, they will have a good Christmas. All we care about is taking care of our girls first. Things have really been tough on us this year. But, we are holding our heads up high and getting through it. As long as we have a roof over our heads, food to eat, and the love and support of each other, we have everything there is too have.

Well, guess I'll go for now and try to catch up visiting those who haven't posted yet. I hope each and everyone of you have a great Friday and may God Bless Each and Everyone of You.

LOVE & HUGS TO ALL,
