Thursday Things

Good afternoon yall,
Hope everyone is doing okay today. It is a very dreary day here. It is raining and windy and cold. I sure hope the sun will shine sometime soon. It has been raining here since late Sunday night.
I would like to "Thank" Renie of Renie Burghardt's World for stopping by and also Diane (the other Diane). Since more people are stopping by, I am getting more excited about this blogworld. I am really looking forward to making new friends.
I would also like to mention that Molly at Molly-Coddled is having a giveaway. The last day to enter is October 26th. I do believe she is throwing in something extra to go with it. I hope you will stop by her blogsite and leave a comment and enter to win the cookbook "A Taste of Home".
I also have some hopeful news. My hubby (who is a truck driver) called me this morning and told me he has an interview with Frito-Lay next Tuesday morning. He went out there last Friday for one interview and had to take a written test. They told him they would let him know if he passed it or not.(he was told that not many pass the test). Anyway, they called him this morning and want him out there next Tuesday for the other interview. I am really excited and sure do hope he gets this job. It means more money and we will have benefits after his probation period. He may have to work 7 days a week, but he would be home everynight. That would be so great. So, I ask that yall pray for him to get this job and hopefully things will start getting better for us.
I'm going to wish Diane of "Diane's Place" a "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY" here since I haven't learned how to get anything on my blog yet. Hope you have a great day Diane and that you and Lamar do something special. Enjoy your day! If you haven't been by Diane's Place yet, be sure to drop by and wish her "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY".
Well, I guess that's about all for now. I'm going to go surfing on some more blogs. The kids get out of school eary today because it is Parent-Teacher Conference day. I will have to go and see how they are doing in their classes and pick up their report cards. Yall take care and have a great day.

Your friend,
Karen H.

Thanks for stopping by today, and for commenting. The most fun I've had in a while is since I started blogging. I've made so many great friends, and have actually met 3 of them in person now.

I lived in Heber Springs when I was 5-10 years old. Diane and I have talked about that often. Where is your town in relation?

Come back any time! My daughter is my computer brain who makes me look good and teaches me how to do the stuff I've learned to do.

Thanks for the anniversary best wishes, Karen. Lamar took me to Ron's Catfish and Buffet in Jonesboro for dinner today. It was good, and I'm still not hungry yet at 6:15 pm, LOL! ;o)

Hope your hubby gets the job. Jason is still looking, bless his heart.

I'm going to try to post in a little bit if Blogger will cooperate...

Have a great Thursday evening and Friday!

Hugs,

Diane

Hi Karen - Came over her by way of Diane's blog. Welcome to blogging. I've been doing this for almost a year and love it. I've made a lot of new friends through the blogs. Don't worry about not being able to do a lot of "things" - you'll pick up hints along the way.

Good luck to your husband with his interview!

Hello Karen and a big welcome to the blogworld hug!
I found you at Diane's place. You are so blessed to have found her as she is one of the finest blogging ladies on earth.
I pray your hubby gets the job if it's the Lords will. And if it isn't I pray the Lord will direct him to the job he is supposed to have.

Blessings from Beverly in the Pacific Northwest.
