Hello

Hello blogworld. I am new to this blogging. I thought I would give it a try. I read Ryan Vaughns's blog site everyday. (sometimes more than once). From his blog site I have been reading Diane J.'s blog site and I really love her site. So, if anyone wants to blog with me, I would really appreciate it. Hope everyone has a great day and a great weekend.

Hi, Karen, and welcome to blogging! It's addictive, I'll tell you. ;D

Let me know if I can help you and I'll try my best. A lot of this stuff you just have to jump in and learn by your successes and mistakes. Hope you enjoy it!

I will tell you, to build a readership and get visitors, you need to comment on lots of blogs. You might start with the blogs listed in my sidebar, or just random blogs that you like. Some of them will follow you back here to say "Hi" and it will go from there.

Also, you should try to post every day or so. I'm one to talk since I've only been posting 2 or 3 times a week lately, but the more you blog, the more visitors you'll get.

Hope this helps you.

By the way, in case you didn't know, I live in Bay. I don't have my location in my sidebar or on my profile anymore because I'm a little cautious, but anybody I've been blogging with for very long knows where I'm at. It's the weirdos I'm trying to avoid letting know where I'm at, not my friends.

Hope you have a great weekend,

Diane

Hi Karen,
Welcome to blogging. I'm Dianes sister Donna. I'm from Harrisburg. I've been blogging since about Jan, I think. You will love it. You will make lots of friends on here, just don't put a lot of personal things on here. If you want to tell someone something, send them an e-mail.
Have fun and come read us.
Welcome. Donna

Hello Diane and Donna,

I would like to "Thank You" both to responding to my blogsite. I know where Bay and Harrisburg both are. I am from Lepanto originally. I was born and raised there. I met a man and married a man from Caraway. We have been married for 12 and half years. So, that is how long I have been living in Caraway. I've been to Bay and Harrisburg many times during softball and basketball season. My youngest daughter (age 9) was playing softball (Coach Pitch) in Harrisburg back earlier this summer and got hit in the eye with a softball. I wasn't there because I was at my oldest daughter's (age 11) softball game in Monette. She got a pretty black eye from the hit, but she is tough. Since both of my girls play softball, I have to rotate whose games I go to when they both have games on the same night. My oldest daughter also plays Pee Wee Basketball. She's been playing since the third grade and she is in the sixth grade this year. Anyway, they both keep me busy. I am going to try and stay with the blogging at least twice a day. I usually get up in the mornings aroung 4:45a.m. and get me some coffee going. I am a big coffee drinker. I drink a pot of the morning by myself. I drink Folgers 1/2 the caffeine. While I'm drinking my coffee, I usually get on the internet and then again in the late afternoons. I have just finished washing dishes and am cooking supper. We are having Salisbury Steaks and macaronni and cheese for supper. Last weekend I fixed a roast with veggies in the slow cooker. I was planning on making cornbread to go with it, but our central air-conditioning went out and it was too hot to heat up the house. We went Sunday to K-Mart and got 2 window units for the house (last 2 they had). Of course it being a holiday weekend, our landlord couldn't get the part til this week. He came out yesterday and put a new fan motor on the inside unit and it quit working again sometime during the night. So, I turned the window units on today. Hopefully it will be fixed by Monday or Tuesday of next week. Well, guess I better go for now, I feel like I've written a book (lol). Again, I would like to "Thank You" both for responding to my blog. Yall take care and have a great weekend and enjoy the rain. Looks like it mite rain all weekend.

I was there when the little girl got hit .We had went to watch the little girl next door play. Our neighbor was the coach.I remember he tried to catch the ball, but was too far away. He was about 3 foot to one side of your daughter, he just couldn't reach it.
I hope she plays again, from what I saw she's a good pitcher.
Have a good weekend, I hope you get your air fixed.
God bless. Donna

Hi again, Karen.

Hope your AC is fixed soon. At least it's cooled off some so it's not as miserable as it has been.

I've been to and through Caraway and Lepanto both for various things, so I know where you live.

Good luck with your blogging, and hope you have a blessed Sunday.

Hugs,

Diane

Hello everyone,

Hope everyone had a great weekend and stayed dry. Sorry I haven't posted sooner, but the weekend was pretty busy. Saturday, I test drove a used Chevy S-10 Blazer. I also cooked brunch (bacon & canned buscuits). Then that afternoon, I had some steaks and filet mignons that my husband was going to cook on the grill, but it was too wet and we were out of charcoal, so I cooked the steaks in the oven. I also had homemade creamed potatoes, and made some homemade buttermilk buscuits. Then Sunday, I did laundry and we had leftovers for our supper Sunday night. Tonight, I think we are going to have spaghetti. I just got back from getting the blazer, so it will be mine (after it's paid for). Yes Donna, my daughter continued to play ball. She sat out an inning at first, then she went back out on second base. She finished the season out. They came Friday to put a new fan motor on our air-conditioner and it worked at first, but they had to order a new squirrel cage for it. Anyway, when I got up Friday morning, it wasn't cooling again. They are supposed to come back out sometime today and put the new squirrel cage on and see why it's not cooling. I sure am glad we had those 2 window units we had bought weekend before last. Well, that's about it for now. Everyone take care and have a great day.

Hello there everyone,

Sorry I haven't been blogging lately. Been kinda on the down side here. I learned last weekend that one of my first cousin's committed suicide. He hung himself on his front porch last Friday and the mailman found him. He lived in Jacksonville Florida. We were really close growing up and all, but it has been a long time since I have seen him. They had a service for him this past Tuesday in Jacksonville. They are cremating the body (he wanted to be cremated) and will bring his ashes back to Arkansas to be buried. We will be having a service for him here in Arkansas on Sunday afternoon. He was retired from the Navy and he did serve in "Operation Desert Storm". Also, over the weekend, a former beautician that I used to go to in Lepanto, had an anurism (don't know if it is spelled right) and she died. So, needless to say, all this has had me down lately. Hope everyone will pray for me and my family during this time. I have been reading blogs, but just didn't have it in me to post anything. Well, I hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend. Take care and may God Bless you all. Oh, I forgot, we need to be with Ryan Vaughan (KAIT8 weather guy, in the loss of his stepmom.)

Hi, Karen,

Sorry about your cousin and hairdresser. It seems deaths come in twos and threes, doesn't it?

Hope you get your AC fixed soon. It's supposed to be hot for the next week or so. I am so ready for cool/cold weather!

Just a hint, Karen...More people would see your posts if you'd put them on your blog itself, like you did your first post, than the way you're putting them in the comments.

If you need help, email me and I'll try to walk you through it.

Take care,

Diane
