TUESDAY THIS & THAT'S

Good Tuesday Mornin' Yall,

Please come in and sit a spell and enjoy my new look with me over a cup of coffee. Isn't that the most beautiful Banner? I just LOVE it. I want to "THANK" my dear friend, Mary@ http://maryswritingnook.blogspot.com/ for the beautiful Banner. She made it for me. "THANK YOU" so much Mary. You are such a wonderful Friend and I do appreciate your Friendship very much. Now, I did the background myself. Yep, I sure did. I went to look at some more templates that blogger has and found this one. All I did was pick a new template and the colors couldn't have matched any better. I even had tried it with a Pink background, but decided the green looked better. I know it's not your average green, but I think the color on the template said Ochre or something like that. I think it brings out the green in the little girl's dresses on my header. I am so happy with this new look.

It is currently 37 degrees with a windchill of 29 degrees. The winds are out of the North, Northwest at 12mph. Yesterday was a partly cloudy day here. It was a bit windy and it only got up to 45 degrees here. There was suppose to be a litte disturbance moving thru overnight that might drop a few Snow Flurries, but it's still dark and I'm not going to open the door till daylight. LOL. Yep, I'm a big coward. One never knows these days about opening their doors. There is also a chance of some Wintry precipitation sometime on Wednesday. I'm not sure the time of arrival for it, but they are being pretty optimistic about it tho. We will wait and see.

I have some Prayer request's for today. Mary@ http://maryswritingnook.blogspot.com/, daughter, Michelle, will be having surgery this morning around 9:15a.m. EST which will be 8:15a.m. my time. Also, Hope@ http://secondtimearoundhope.blogspot.com/ new Grandaughter that was born a few weeks ago is in the hospital as well. Her name is Josie. She was sick over the weekend and they tried to put an IV into her yesterday, but they had some trouble trying to get a needle in her so they kept Josie overnight. They are trying to keep her hydrated. I ask that yall pray for these 2 today. And, if you have a few moments, please drop by Mary's and Hope's and let them know you are thinking and praying for their loved ones. "Our Most Gracious Heavenly Father, I come to you right now and ask for you to be with Michelle and Josie. I pray that you will go before the surgeon's doing the surgery on Michelle and give them the power to have a successful surgery and I pray that Michelle will come thru her surgery just fine. I ask that you also be with all the Family members and give them a peace and comfort like never before and let them be able to feel your presence among them today. I also pray for little Josie, and ask that you will restore her health and that she may get to come home from the hospital today and feeling much better and be with her Family and give them peace and comfort and let them feel your presence among them as well. Dear GOD, we know you are the only ONE and GREAT PHYSICIAN and can heal both of these and we trust you to do that. All these things I ask in your name, AMEN!!!!

Yesterday afternoon, I was Awarded with 2 more Awards. The first one is from Joyce@ http://joyce-creationinprogress.blogspot.com/ and it is Blogging With a Purpose Award.
Here is what Joyce had to say about this Award. 1. Awarded parties must nominate five people who have not received the award.2. The blogs that receive the award must serve some purpose.3. In their post about the award they need to link back to this entry. "THANK YOU" so much Joyce for this wonderful Award. I do appreciate it very much. Now, I am going to pass this Award on to Deena@ http://deenasstory.blogspot.com/, Diane@ http://lenadianejennings.blogspot.com/, Anni@ http://hootin--anni.blogspot.com/, Mary@ http://maryswritingnook.blogspot.com/, and http://renieburghardtsworld.blogspot.com/. So, "CONGRATULATION'S" ladies on your newest Award. If you have never been to visit any of these people, please take the time to stop by and visit them. They are all wonderful Friends and have some lovely blogs. Also, Deena@ http://deenasstory.blogspot.com/ Awarded me with this Award.

Deena sent this to me last night and it really touched me. Deena is fighting Breast Cancer and has had her first Chemo and Radiation treatments and is doing really well. Please take some time and visit Deena and let her know you are thinking of her and praying for her as well. She is such a courageous Woman. She is strong and has the will-power and with GOD, Deena can beat this. "THANK YOU" so much Deena for this lovely Award. I will treasure it always. Now, my dear friend Deena, I'm passing this Award right back to you. Even tho we lived miles apart and you are in my thoughts and prayers, here is A Giant Bear Hug for you from me. I feel a connection with Deena because you see, I lost an Aunt back in 1980 that I was very close to, to Breast Cancer. Her husband, which is my Dad's Brother, was working nights at the Police Department in my hometown. When she was really bad, my Uncle didn't want my Aunt staying by herself as he needed to work and have some income coming in. So, I volunteered to stay with her at nights while my Uncle went to work. Even tho she wasn't an Aunt by blood, she was to me because she was one Loving Aunt that showed no partiality and Loved me back. I could talk to her when I couldn't talk to anyone else. Back then, they didn't have all the new technology they do now and the doctors didn't catch her's in time. So, anyone I know that has Breast Cancer, I feel a connection to. She was a GODLY Woman and she fought her battle all the way to the end.

Our oldest daughter made it fine in School yesterday. She still has a cough, but the cough meds I'm giving her seem to be helping her some. I can't give it to her before she goes to School because it makes her a bit drowsy, so she took some Honey-flavored cough drops to School with her yesterday to use. I re-heated the Chicken Noodle Soup up for us for our supper last night and it's about gone. I will probably finish it for my lunch today. I'm not sure what I will cook for supper tonight. I talked to my DH around 3:00a.m. this morning and he was about 54 miles into the State of New Mexico coming this way. They will switch out in Albuquerque, NM and he will go to bed. He said he would call me before he went to bed. They should be home sometime later tonight.

Well, guess I will go for now. I am needing a refill on my coffee. Take care my friends and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

LOVE & HUGS,

Well, it's almost 4:30 am and I'm still up too, Karen. Lately my days and nights have swapped ends, LOL!

Bless Mary for helping you with your new header, and you did a good job choosing your new template and customizing it. I think this is the same one I'm using. I know a little more about this template than the one you had before this.

I'm not too excited about the weather yet. I'll just wait and see what happens. I hope we don't get any ice. We're all electric and if the power goes off we're stuck! I have a gas grill I can cook a little bit with, but it will only do so much, and we don't have a kerosene heater or any other heat source. It's supposed to be nearly 70ยบ again by this weekend anyway!

My hubby was born in Albuquerque. ;o)

Hope your hubby makes it in okay and you have a good visit before he has to head out again.

Have a good Tuesday, Karen.

Love and hugs,

Diane

It's BEAUTIFUL in here!!! The color decor is just divine!!! And Mary, I knew she'd find you something Victorian....I just knew it. She's the bestest, isn't she? It all looks so warm and cozy and---perfect for you Karen!!! I think the background color is just right!!! [some shades of pink can be nauseating...don't get me wrong...pinks are beautiful...but this color you chose is so soft on the eyes...makes reading your blog so easy on the eyes. I love it.

Glad to hear your daughter is doing okay. And that your hubby will be home soon, once again. Sounds like now, perhaps there'll be a more 'routine' schedule...being that, I mean no lousy storms for a while!!!

Karen, thanks for the sweet sweet award. I really love it. And the Bear Hug Award is adorable...you so very much deserve all the recognition that you get....your heart and soul is in your writing. I love visiting here!!!

I like the changes to your blog. The green is very soft and goes so well with your pretty banner. This is the same template that I use on both of my blogs - I find it very easy to customize.

Dom and I went to Albuquerque right after we were married. It's so pretty there.

Glad to hear that your daughter is feeling better.

Dear, Sweet Karen,
You've got me crying in my coffee this morning! You have touched my heart in such a special way. You'll never know this side of Heaven what your humble prayer has meant to me, especially knowing that it came straight from your heart. The best news of all is that God has answered prayers and Josie is going home today at noon. I talked to my son this morning and she is doing great. Praise the Lord for his Love and Mercy. I also needed to cry this morning. It was a release, you know?

I have some sort of bug which started working on me last night. My stomach is upset and I've been running to the bathroom. I can't go up to help out with Josie today. I may have caught this from her but I certainly don't want to give it back to her! My son is sick today too. His sinuses are all messed up and he just feels lousy. He's lost a lot of sleep too which doesn't help. Please keep us all in your prayers.

I love what you've done with your "home" here. You've done a great job decorating! I love the banner Mary made for you. She's very talented!

I'm going now to to my post but I'm so glad I stopped by here first! Thank you for being such a good friend.

Love you girl,
Hope

PS: Thought you might want to know that it's snowing here today! :) We aren't suppose to get any accumulation but it's beautiful coming down!
