TUESDAY THIS & THAT'S

Good Tuesday Mornin' Yall,
I do hope that everyone had a great Monday and ready to start a new day. It is currently 35 degrees with a windchill of 32 degrees. The winds are out of the East Northeast at 3 mph. I do think there is only some light rain falling outside here. Yesterday afternoon the National Weather Service had issued a Winter Weather Advisory for us starting at Midnight and going thru 9:00a.m. At around 9:30p.m. last night, I looked out my front door and there was a light rain falling then. I don't think we got the freezing rain that they were predicting. If it did, it was way after Midnight. I looked out my front room window a bit ago, but couldn't really tell if it was frozen or not. I'm sure not going to open up my front door at this hour. LOL. Yep, you guessed it, I'm a chicken. LOL. I'll just listen to the local weather this morning and then look outside when it gets daylight.
Since I didn't post over the weekend or comment any, I was behind yesterday in my visiting. I did my best to try to catch up with everyone tho. I was over at Mary@Mary'sWritingNook is having a Valentine's and 200th Post Giveaway.
You have until Midnight tonight - Eastern Standard Time - which is Mary's time to enter. So, please go over and visit Mary and leave her a comment and enter her Giveaway. I'm sorry Mary for posting this so late, but hopefully, someone who reads my blog will come over.
Also, Denise@SamaritanWomen is having a T-shirt Contest. You will have to go and visit Denise and get all the details. When you go and visit Denise, you will have to go to her blog called

Well, yall all know the trouble I have been having with our Bank. I had signed up for their Internet Banking and I got all the information yesterday to be able to access it. I know the Banks and Post Office's were closed, but since I didn't check our mail on Saturday, me and the girls went by there yesterday and checked it. I also got our Bank Statement in the mail yesterday as well. Anyway, last night I was checking things out on the Online Banking and looking at our Bank Statement. I also had my Checkbook out and trying to see what had come thru and all that stuff. I noticed that there was a deposit that I had made back on December 14, 2007. It was a deposit for a little over $500.00. I couldn't find it anywhere on the Online Banking. I checked and double-checked and even triple-checked and it wasn't on there. I did find my deposit slip from where it was suppose to be deposited and today I'm going to the Bank to see why it's not on the Online Banking. I am so hoping that this is what has caused all of our problems. Last night when my DH called, I told him about this and he said that this is where the problem is also. If this is the problem, I am hoping that they will make it right with us. So, I ask for continued prayers that this problem will be resolved and they will admit to their wrong doings. "THANK YOU" all so very much for your prayers.
Yesterday, I did 2 loads of laundry. I washed up some dishes as well. Since it's just me and the girls here most of the time, I don't wash dishes every night. I usually let them accumulate some. I did have quite a bit to wash, but I got it all done. For our supper last night I fixed us some Homemade Chicken Strips and heated up a bag of Frozen French Fries. It was all eaten except for a few fries. It was good and the girls even liked the Homemade Chicken Strips. I even washed up the dishes from our supper last night. I don't know what I'll fix for our supper tonight yet. I will come up with something tho.
My Dad had to go see his regular Doctor yesterday. He got a good report. The Doctor told him that he had 1,000 Grams of E-Coli in his body. When he told me this, I was like what? Dad said that his Doctor told him that everybody has E-Coli in their bodies. I had no idea about this. I was totally shocked because I'm associating E-Coli with raw Chicken and stuff like that. Little do I know tho. Anyway, his Doctor told him to continue taking the Anti-Biotics for another couple of weeks and come back to see him again then. "THANK YOU" all again for the prayers said for my Dad. I so appreciate it very much. After they had left the Doctor's office, they went and bought a few groceries. He had called me yesterday afternoon and was telling me that one of the stores had potatoes on sale and wanted to know if I needed any. I said sure. Since I wasn't able to buy Milk and Bread on Saturday, I asked my Dad to buy us some Milk and Bread. Dad and my Mom had called me back a couple of more times asking if I needed any other things and I told them if they didn't mind, to get the girls some Caffeine Free Soda's. They came by yesterday afternoon while I was cooking supper and brought us alot of things. They bought us some Milk, Bread, Potatoes, Cookies for the girls, 3 - 1/2 gallons of Ice Cream, a big package of Bacon, Bologna, Hot Dogs, Hot Dog Buns, and some Banana's. "THANK YOU" Mom & Dad for the groceries. I have the best Parents. They are always helping us out some when they can. I had told them about our Banking issues and my sweet Dad even offered to give us some money but I wouldn't take it. I knew the Bank would be open today and since I didn't need any money last night, I can go to the Bank today and get some. That was our day here yesterday.
Yesterday morning around 7:00a.m. I hadn't heard from my DH yet. I called him and he told me he coudn't talk right now and that he was fighting with Snow. I said okay. He called me back around 8:45a.m. and told me that it had been Snowing so hard in Utah and he had to concentrate on the roads. He did say the roads were in pretty good shape, but it was still Snowing real hard. He said it had been Snowing hard on him even in Wyoming. "THANK GOD" they made it to Salt Lake City. He called me back last night around 9:40p.m. and told me that his Uncle had gone thru some heavy Snow while leaving Salt Lake City and going down I-25 to Nevada. I just talked to DH about 3:35a.m. and he was just about to enter into New Mexico. They will be home late tonight for a little while and leave out tomorrow sometime going to Memphis, TN, to pick up their load going to Minnesota. He will call me back later this morning before he goes to bed and let me know where they are at then.
Well, guess I'll go for now. I am on my second cup of coffee. I woke up around 3:30a.m. this morning on my own. I had may alarm to go off at 4:30a.m. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless Each and Everyone of You.

LOVE & HUGS,

Wow...you're up way early today. And it sounds too cold...hot coffee for sure, for sure!!!

I would dread driving in heavy snow...I feel sorry for your hubby and his uncle! Thankfully the snowy season will end soon and the roads will be much safer [for weather conditions anyway...there are ALWAY fool-drivers tho, just can't get away from that!!! ---I think you mean Interstate fifteen instead of twenty-five tho, 'cause I-25 is in my home state...Colorado ---but, I know which highway you mean, I've been down it many-a-times]

Y'all wanna come down and do some of my laundry? No, wait...I did that just a couple of days ago...so, in that case, wanna drop by here and help me dust books? Yuk!!!! ---but a selling point here---I got plenty of coffee I can 'perk' up for you AND it's 65 degrees here at 5:30AM!!!! Come on down.

Have a terrific day dear Karen...You're tops - you know that of course.

PS---I forgot to say that "I'm very happy to hear that your father got some good news from the Doctor...and when our folks would bring huge bags of food for us when we needed it, hubby and I called 'em "care packages"...they were SO appreciated. Parents?!!!!!!!!!!--they're super aren't they?

Karen, glad to hear your dad got some good news from his dr.

Sorry to hear about your banking troubles. I work at a bank, and we do make mistakes from time to time. I know that is aggrivating when you cant spend any money because the bank has it all screwed up! Hopefully today they will make it all right for you and things will be better.

I hope you have a great day!

It was all frozen up this morning here in England. It surprised me because it had been raining all evening but when I went to bed the moon was out so I guess I should have expected it.

So glad to hear that your Dad should be sorted out with some antibiotics, my Mum's neighbour had E-coli I was surprised that we all have it in our intestines but that sometimes it gets out of control.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

I am happy that your Dad got a good report from his doctor. Yep sometimes the resident bacteria gets a bit crazy and has to be looked after. E coli actually helps with digestion in the intestine.

Glad also that you found that bank error. Hopefully you get it straightened out today.

Good morning dear Karen. Glad to hear dad got a good report. Praise the Lord. I will continue to pray for him. also even happier for you that your mom and dad got you the groceries that is so wonderful of them to think of you and help you out a little.

I will be praying for you that things will get straightened out at the bank about that deposit. I know how that can wreck havoc on the checkbook. I had that happen also over the holidays.

Have a wonderful day my friend and be safe. God Bless.

Hey Karen,
I have a couple of things to tell you about this morning. I think we are getting the weather you should have gotten. We have had sleet and snow almost all morning. The kids still had school though and it worries me. The second thing I wanted to tell you is that I did say a little prayer for you. I know what you are going through. It is so hard to make it anyway, without bank problems. Please remember that with God all things are possible and he will provide a way for things to get better. In my life I have noticed that God works when everything else has failed. When I feel like nothing is going to go right and there is no possible way to accomplish anything, he comes through, usually in some unexpected way. We just have to trust him. Take care and you are in my prayers. Its funny how God brings people into our lives. I have only been blogging for a couple of weeks, but he has allowed me to find so many wonderful people, people that I feel like I actually know and people that I worry about and care about. You are one of those people. I hope I dont sound all stalkerish or anything, I just want you to know you are special.

I hope you DH made it home safely. We have had a lot of snow here and I would love some rains instead of snow but if it did we'd have a sheet of ice to be sure.

So happy your Father is doing much better.

You sound like you have been so busy. Take time to pamper yourself!

Hugs!

Hello, out there in the freezing! We're out here in the wet and cold - 44'. Poor dogs are out there shivering in the garage, wanting to come in. Gotta wipe their muddy paws, sweet babies!
Thank the Lord for Parents! I don't know what I'd do without mine! Glad the doctor caught that with the E-coli!
Continuing to pray for your hubby driving in all that snow - wow! that's scary!
God bless you today, Karen! and I hope that the bank issues will be resolved today!
I'll be gone the rest of the week - so I'll see ya Friday!

Karen,

I'm so glad that your Dad got a good report from his doctor. Praise God! I will continue praying for him.

We are getting snow and have been all through the night and this morning. Dwight came in early this morning and said the roads were slick. My SIL started for work, which is an hour and a half northwest and he turned around and came back home. He said the whiteouts were terrible. So I know what DH and his uncle were going through.

I do hope that the bank owns up to their error and corrects it. That could have been your problem all along. Keep your eyes peeled on that online statement and make sure they do what they're supposed to. Banks make errors all the time. Thankfully, our bank is great.

I left a long note for your on my Magic Kingdom post. I hope you have time to go back and read it.

Praying for DH and his uncle to be safe and also for your finances.

Love and blessings,
Mary

I'm sorry not to have been able to post a comment yesterday - my computer is acting up big time; cutting me off, etc. I'm at my daughter's house today using hers.

Aren't parents like yours just the best? I'm so glad you found that deposit slip, and hopefully can get that all straightened out today!

Take care; God bless, I better move along! :)

Hi Karen,
Well it looks like that bad weather skipped you and came right on to VA this morning!! We've had snow and then a rain/snow mix, then freezing ice on the roads. Now they're saying it is going to warm up and start raining!!

I'm glad to hear your dad is doing better. I've never heard of that E Coli thing either!! How weird!
It was sweet of them to bring you and the girls those groceries. I hope you get that bank mess figured out soon and I sure hope it's in your favor! :)

I'm still trying to visit and catch up on all I missed so I'm off to another blog!! lol

Love and Hugs,
Hope

I'm sure glad you found that banking error. Most banks will honor it if you kept the receipt and I'm glad YOU did! I keep all of mine due to a few misunderstandings just like this. Banks are run by humans punching machines...they are not infallable!

I'm glad your parents were able to help out with a bit of food, and they know you would probably do the same for them if needed!

I pray your Hubby has safe travels, have you read Mary's post about truck drivers yesterday it was awesome, but I pray your Hubby never has to choose!

Hugs to you today!!!

Did you get your banking stuff figured out?? Sure do hope so....

Bless your Mom and Dad for bringing you some groceries. Mine have helped us over the years. Now it's my turn to help Jessica when I can.

I honestly didn't think we'd get much bad weather. Just a gut feeling I had. Oh well, maybe we'll get some snow soon...

Hope you're having a good day. I'm going to make me a pot of coffee and figure out what's for supper. Not sure yet...

Love and hugs,

Diane

I am so thrilled to hear your dad is doing so much better. And, how sweet they are to love you and your family so much. Things like what they did for you makes my heart sing. I know, too, that you must be a fantastic daughter to them!
Sure hope the missing deposit is the cause of all the trouble. If so, i am sure the bank will make everything right for you.
You are such a sweetie....

Good evening, dear Karen,

Well, you know that pretty snow that covered my driveway this morning? It's all gone! LOL. But we are to have another winter precipitation event Friday night. So there is still a chance for you. LOL.

I'm glad to hear your Dad is doing better, and those antibiotics will do their job and get him all well, soon. And how sweet of your parents to bring you some groceries. Even ice cream! I'm sure your girls are enjoying that!

I hope your DH stays safe on the snowy roads across the country, and that your bank problems got resolved today.

Take care, and have a great evening. If your DH makes it home tonight, snuggle up and keep warm!

Love and Hugs,

Renie

Glad your Dad got a good report. I sure didn't know we all had E-Coli in us!! Gee whiz!

Driving in that snow must be awful, especially in an 18 wheeler. I hope they continue to be safe out there.

Oh, no snow for us so far. It hit all around us but none right here! I think Saturday we have another chance.
