PHRIDAY'S PHAVORITE PHOTO PHUN

Good Friday Mornin' Yall,
I do hope everyone had a great Thursday and ready to start a new day. It is currently 21 degrees here with no windchill. The winds are calm for now. It was a mostly cloudy and foggy day here yesterday. The Sun did come out late yesterday evening just before it got dark. They say some of the coldest air this season is suppose to moving in later tonight. Heck, I thought a few weeks ago it was cold, but I guess I better prepare myself for this cold blast. Looks like the heat may be going up on 80 degrees or higher. LOL.
Today is Phriday Phavorite Photo Phun over at Anni@Hootin'Anni's. If you would like to join in the fun, go visit Anni and sign up and leave her a comment. I didn't really know what kind of picture I was going to show, because I don't really have any good pictures. So, I am
showing this picture here. It sort of reminds me of 2 guys on our local news every morning. On Friday's, they sing this little song here: Friday is my favorite, Friday is my favorite, Friday is my favorite day. That's how they start out their little segment on Friday morning's. So, this is my Phriday Phavorite Photo Phun. Nothing elaborate, but just short and sweet, I think.
I also received 2 more Awards last night. Denise@ShortyBear'sPlace has awarded me with these 2 Awards. The first one is "BFF BLOG FRIEND FOREVER AWARD".

This second Award is the "SPREAD THE LOVE AWARD". "THANK YOU" so much Denise for presenting me these Awards. I am so honored that you have chosen me to have them. I haven't known Denise very long, but from the time I have known her, she is such a sweetheart and very kind and loving person. I will be passing these on the first of next week. Again, "THANK YOU" so much Denise for these beautiful Awards. I was also tagged for a couple of Meme's. I will try and do those on Monday. "THANK YOU" Mimi and Mary for tagging me. I appreciate it so much.

Last night I heated up the Chicken Noodle Soup for me and the girls. I had quite a bit left from Tuesday night, so since it was a cold night, I figured it would taste good again. Of course it was good again. We had some crackers to go with it. After I had eaten, I was so tired and sleepy. When I get my belly full, I tend to get sleepy. LOL. But for some reason, I was ready to go to bed. I went and laid down and fell asleep. I guess I went into a deep sleep. My Cell Phone went to ringing around 7:30p.m. I thought it was my Alarm on my Cell Phone. I use the Alarm on my Cell Phone to wake up to. I thought I had done slept all night and it was Friday already. LOL. I woke up and tried to shut it off but seen it was my DH calling. I answered it and then saw our youngest daughter standing at my door and I couldn't figure out what was going on. After I was talking to DH for a few minutes, I finally figured out it was still Thursday. LOL. I thought I had done overslept and the girls didn't go to School when I saw our youngest daughter standing at my Bedroom Door. I have never done anything like this before. I guess I was just so tired and was out of it for a while. Anyway, I thought it was funny after all was said and done and the girls did too. They always like to get a good laugh out of their Momma. LOL.

My DH called me this morning around 1:00a.m. and he was about 150 miles South of Depere, WI. They had done picked up their load there and was heading back this way. Hopefully they will be home around noon today. He told me that they had been in Snow since they had gotten into Iowa the other night. He did say the roads were in pretty good shape tho. He called me once yesterday and said they were in Minnesota and it was 13 degrees where they were at. Burrrr, that is cold. I thought it was cold here a couple of weeks ago, but I guess here in the South, that's nothing compared to up North.

We have to travel back to Armorel, AR tonight for our oldest daughter's second Basketball game in the Tournament. They will be playing Luxora, AR at 7:00p.m. She has to be there at 6:30p.m. This should be another good and close game tonight. We did beat Luxora last Saturday afternoon when we played them here. If we win tonight, we will go back in the morning and play for the Championship. So, if you don't mind, please say a prayer that our girls win tonight. I do hope they can because this is their last year as playing together and also being League Champions the last 2 years. I would hate to see them get beat. "THANK YOU" in advance for your prayers. I hope this doesn't sound like a selfish prayer.

Well, guess I'll go for now. I am going to need a refill on my coffee here shortly. Yall take care and have a great day. May God Bless Each and Everyone of You. If I'm not here when you stop by, please feel free to grab you something to drink and I will be back shortly.

LOVE & HUGS,

Good morning, Karen. I sure do need a cup of that coffee, LOL! ;o)

I've got to do some laundry today if I don't do anything else. I should have done some yesterday but I'm still fighting this cold or whatever it is and I talked myself out of washing. I've GOT to do some laundry today for sure.

It's 19º here right now. It's supposed to get up to 46º today but I don't know if it's going to make it or not. The low was only supposed to get to 26 and here it is already 19.

Have a good Friday. Y'all be careful and stay warm! ;o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

I LOVE the TGIF! Boy howdy, I remember the days when I was working outside the home how much Fridays meant to me. A long weekend ahead!!! Ya baby.....love those Fridays.

Thank you for dropping by and leaving such loving comments this morning. You're a dear heart!!!!

Funny about the getting sleepy from eating. I read somewhere that any poultry will do that to a person...can't remember what it is...who cares right now, the point is, you got a good rest. And probably MUCH needed with the stress you've been under with your hubby's new job and your father and mother. Your body just said "Hey, I need this"....and off to a good slumberland for sure!!!

Have a great day. Stay warm.

Hi Karen,

Sometimes I play tricks with the girls when they fall asleep and wake up in the evening. Gotta ger ready for school!! I'm a mean mommy. We laugh afterwards. I don't do that anymore. It got old, but at least they can be suspicious when someone tries to pull that on them again. :)

Sorry you didn't get the snow, but I am glad the girls won their game. I remember how tough Luxora can be. I hope they win the championship.

I haven't had a burger from Burger King in a long time. It is better to enjoy it than to eat it on the run anyway.

I hope your DH has a safe trip and that your dad is doing better. God bless you and your family.

Sounds like you will be busy. I will pray for a win. Yes, the slaw was frozen. The papaw I believe was fresh and made the ham taste great. We have a boys game tonight and it will be good. Take care and have a great day.

Karen,

I think you were just plain wore out and that is why you fell into such a deep sleep. My sleeping hours are crazy again. I didn't go to bed till about midnight and then woke up at 4am and couldn't get back to sleep for a while. Then I slept late. Crazy!

That soup sounds delicious. I'm sure it warmed everyone's tummies. It's colder here today and I'm wishing for those 70 degree days we had in Florida.

The boys had a great time with the penguin on our trip and are driving their parents crazy with it now. It will be worn out before they know it.

I'm glad DH is safe and getting his runs done. He will find it cold in the northern states or if he has to come into Canada. He needs a good warm coat, hat and gloves.

Take care, my friend. It's always nice to visit with you.

Blessings,
Mary

It is gonna be very cold up here this weekend. The temp is already dropping it was 23 at noon and it is down to 18 already. We are gonna have -25 to -30 wind chills here and temps won't go above 0 all weekend. You stay warm and enjoy your family as I know I will we have another birthday in my house this weekend. Check out my blog on Monday and you will see who. Take care and God bless my friend.

Oh lol it's so strange when we wake up disorientated. I remember one time lying down in bed, I shut my eyes, opened them and it was day. It literally felt like I blinked and it was morning. That was really strange.

I hope your girls win their basketball game.

Hugs.

I bet there's no coffee left and no soup left either...that will teach me from coming by to visit late in the evening! lol It's only 19F here at the moment and supposed to get quite frigid by Sunday...I guess we'll all be getting that cold front!

I've done that before as well, fall asleep and wake up completely confused as to what day it is! I hope I sleep better tonight, was up every hour on the hour it seemed last night.

The very best of luck to your daughter and her team...I do hope they won their game tonight!! I'll be praying that they did and can win the championships tomorrow!

Congratulations on the awards...needless to say, you are well deserving of them:-)

My prayers continue that your hubby is safe on the roads and that he's home real soon:-) xoxo

Hi Karen, it's Friday evening and you are probably at the game or heading home...I have my fingers crossed hoping the girls won.
Congratulations on both of your awards you are very sweet and most derserving.
Isn't it the weirdest feeling to wake up and be all mixed up as to the day and time. I've done that too and I think it happens when we are really tired.

Blessings to you and your family, take care...Linda

Good morning, Karen,

I'm here on a Saturday morning, and they keep talking about the deep freeze coming, but it's not quite here yet. I just heard of the Weather Channel that Fargo, North Dakota will be warming up to 0! I guess we shouldn't complain about the cold around here. LOL.

I hope your daughter's team won last night, and oh my, what beautiful awards. Congratulations, Karen!

Well, have a blessed weekend, and stay toasty and warm!

Hugs,

Renie

Hi Karen just thought I would let you know that up here in Saskatchewan where I live it was extremely cold yesterday. With the wind chill factored in the temperature was -39 C when I got up. That would be the same in F. During the night it was at times -54. Brrr. Too cold to be at work, but our schools here never close so off I went. Sure needed coffee when I got home.

Hope you're staying warm and cozy, it's quite chilly here tonight, but we're due for some rain soon.

Hi Karen,
I hope all is well. I have been so busy and I am so sorry that I haven't stopped in for a while. I am back in the swing of things now and can finally find the time to visit. I can also totally relate to the whole sleeping thing. I have done that before. My son did that the other night to. He fell asleep with his glasses on and I had to wake him up to make him pull them off. He went into the living room. When I asked what he was doing, he said, isn't it time for school?
