HAPPY DECEMBER 1st.

Good Saturday Mornin' Yall,

I do hope everyone had a great Friday. Sorry I didn't post yesterday, but hubby and I had some business to attend to and then we went and bought groceries and got home around 2:30p.m. and I had to put the groceries up. We get 2 sales papers each week from a couple of grocery stores, and I like to go where they have the best sales. I have to save money when I can and I do like to get a good bargain. I'm sure yall know how that is. It is 44 degrees this morning as I'm typing this with a windchill of 39 degrees. I think it's suppose to be up around 60 today and rain moving in for tonight and tomorrow. They also said possibly some Severe Thunderstorms. I had much rather have the rain than the ICE they were predicting on Monday night. I don't want any Severe weather either.

I have been having problems with my computer the last couple of days. I am having to restart it several times during the day. I have no idea what is causing it. It could be the computer as this is a Windows ME. It's outdated because there are no more updates for it. I will just have to make do for now. So, if there comes a time that I don't post for a few days, you know it's my computer giving me problems.
We have 2 Basketball games today. We have one this morning here in town and one this afternoon out of town. I'm not feeling too good (Womanly problems) and hubby will take her if I don't feel like going. Then we have another game here Monday night. My youngest daughter will be Cheering again Monday night.

Hubby made it home Thursday night around 9:45p.m. He came home all stopped up in his head. Being around alot of that stuff that he hauls really bothers him. I had some medicines left from when I was sick with a head cold and started him on that last night. Hopefully he will get to feeling better. I had fixed me and the girls some Hamburger Helper - Cheeseburger Style - Thursday night for supper and there was some left. Hubby had the rest of it when he came home. My girls really love the Cheeseburger Style Hamburger Helper. That is about the only kind of Hamburger Helper they will eat. I put a Roast in my Slow Cooker last night and am letting it cook. I will add some potatoes and carrots with it later on. That will be our supper for tonight and if I feel like it, I may fix a pan of cornbread. We will have leftovers, so we will have that for our Sunday meal as well. I bought quite a few frozen things yesterday while I was at the grocery store, so that it will be easier on me the next few days. Sometimes it just don't hurt to take the easy way out, especially if you don't feel good.

Well, this is a short post for today. There's not been much happening around here. So, yall take care my friends and have a great Saturday. May God Bless You and Yours.

LOVE & HUGS,

P.S. Yall don't forget to go over to Pea's at Pea'sCorner and sign up for her Chocolate Contest. She will draw the name on December 3rd I think. Her chocolates looks so yummy.

Good morning, Karen,

I do believe you beat me on getting up this morning! Lol.

I have windows ME as well. My worst problem is I am on dial up, so I have a difficult time with web sites that are heavy on graphics. I can't wait to get DSL, which will be soon, my ISP has told me.

Sounds like you have a busy day ahead. Hope it's a good one. The next couple of days will be mild for this time of year.

Oh, my, it's December 1st and I'm behind with everything.

Have a wonderful day, and God bless!

I know how that weather is in Arkansas. My hubby is from there and we lived there for a short time. It's cold where I am, too, but I do love it. I don't want ice or tornadoes, though - we had a bad scare a time or two with a bad storm and I never want to go through that again.
I hope you're feeling better and that you have a nice weekend. I enjoy your blog and you are always so cheerful!

I'm sorry you and your hubby aren't feeling very good. This isn't a great time to be feeling bad...so much going on.
Have fun at the ballgames and I will keep my fingers crossed that your computer just keeps on going!!
hugs to you, bj

Get well soon, Karen. No one likes to be feeling under the weather.

Hope the girls have a good game today.

I have Windows XP Professional, but I have dial-up IP (Internet Provider) service. It takes a long time to watch a video. And as Renie says, it takes a long time to open up to a webpage with a lot of pictures in it. Oh, well. Hubby likes the IP service.

Take care. God bless.

Sunny California is colder than chilly Arkansas this morning. I believe we hit freezing last night (brrrrr) and will have a sunshiny 50° today.

Next week warmer and I wish it would make up it's mind.

I'm wearing three layers on top and two on bottom (not counting my unmentionables of course). A hot breakfast helped.

My cat is sitting on top of the comuter staring out the window. She finds all the warm places.

I have Windows XP which is now outdated (blame Vista) and a very fast cable modem (my one luxury). Still, we have problems occasionally.

Take care and have a good weekend.

Hugs from your shivering friend.

Hey gal...glad to catch up with you again today...lol! I did make it out to our Krogers and got a few winter storm supplies...I hope it is not as bad as they say!

You stay warm and take care of yourself, maybe a cup of chamomile tea will help.

PS...Susie has opened her comments if you would like to go and encourage her.

Sorry about your hubby;s stuffy head. I have had a bit of that this past week and it's no fun at all. I kept waking up in the middle of the night with a headache. I try to keep the humidifier going and put a little Vick's vaporub under my nose. It helps a lot.
We have snow today but are supposed to get rain tomorrow so hopefully it will all melt off. I need to shop on Monday and don't like driving on slick roads.
Take care and leep warm.
Blessings

Good evening dear Karen:-)

I really dislike those "time of the month" days! lol Hopefully you were feeling well enough to go to the game, if not, hope you spent it wrapped up in a cozy blanket enjoying a cup of tea! I've been watching our local Christmas Telethon which started at 2 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m. A lot of local talent performing and the money raised goes towards buying toys for the less fortunate children in our area. I have to call in my pledge yet:-)

Oh dear, I do hope your computer starts to behave itself! Mine is over 6 years old so I know one of these days it will go KAPUT! Then I'll panic! lol I'd feel so lost without a computer. All my friends are in my computer ya know! hehe

Hope your hubby feels better soon. Tis that time of year for the colds and flus! I was talking to my son Shawn and his wife today and they're both getting over really bad colds.

It's 3F here right now...when I got up this morning it was -7F...that's what I call "stupid" cold! lol I haven't set foot outside today, I'm staying in where it's warm!!

Take care my friend, love ya! xoxo

Dear Karen , thank you so much for visiting me today! You are so sweet to leave such long chatty comments. I so enjoy them !The hamburger gravy is made just the same as sausage gravy. I just make gravy from which ever I have on hand. Thank you so much for going to visit my Mom. I created the blog for her and when I go over I will teach her all she needs to know to communicate with all of you out there in blog land. I know she is going to really enjoy her blog. She is such a sweet lady, if I don't say so myself. You have a great evening dear friend and God's blessings to you and yours!

Karen, I hope that you and hubby are feeling better real soon. Maybe your weather will not be of the severe type. We may get a little rain on Sunday afternoon.

We all have to look for any bargins that we can find while shopping to make up for the increasing gas prices and everything else going up too!

Thanks dear friend, for your visits and sweet comments. They always brighten my days.

Have a wonderful weekend filled with lots of family, love and laughter!

Hi Karen - Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog. I would happy for you to add me to your blogroll.
Hubby is from Pine Bluff, Arkansas and his 87 year old mom still lives there. We lived north of there for about a year near Harrison. My grandmother was from Hot Springs so I have a real fondness for the state.
Have a blessed Sunday!

G'day Karen! What a wonderful comment you left for me this morning...I really liked reading it.

Yes, that traffic is horrendous for sure. Our son lives in Houston, and I really hate....yes, HATE to drive in that city. And I can imagine what it's like in Dallas and San Antonio with rush hour traffic.

44 degrees huh, with a windchill of 39?!! That's cold...too cold for me. I like the 70s during the day we've been having here. And lows of mid 50s to low 60s. But there is a cold front moving in they tell us...so we'll battend the hatches and snuggle with our 'bankies' [blankets]

Have a super Sunday

[oh and ps...you may have a virus on your computer...there is a free virus program you can install and then check to see if that may be what's causing you having to reboot all the time...AND you can go find your temporary internet file folder and clean that out too!! That may help...you may have peaked your memory and it needs to be cleaned out]

Just the thought of it has made me hungry; guess I'll have to find my slow cooker tomorrow and see what I can come up with... Anyway, may the Lord continue to bless you and yours,

There is absolutely nothing wrong with frozen food, and it's only half cheating. Frozen veggies are better for you than canned veggies, but Ice Cream tastes better than them both! ;)

Hope the hubby is feeling better soon.
