THANKSGIVING THURSDAY

Good Thursday Mornin' Yall,

"HAPPY THANKSGIVING" everyone. We do have alot to be Thankful for. Thanksgiving should be celebrated everyday, not just once a year. Everyday we get up is a Thanksgiving. We have so much to be Thankful for each and everyday. I want to wish my Canadian Friends and Australian Friends a "HAPPY THANKSGIVING" as well. I know my Canadian Friends had their Thanksgiving in October, and I don't know when my Australian Friends celebrate their Thanksgiving, but still, I want to wish them a "HAPPY THANKSGIVING" as well. They have just as much to be Thankful for as we do. I know I put this picture on my post yesterday, but since today is Thanksgiving, I wanted to put it on here again. If you are reading this, you may copy this and put it on your sidebar if you so choose. It is a little token that I want all my Blogging Friends to have on the Thanksgiving Day from me.

Well, it is 39 degrees with a windchill of 32 degrees as I am typing this. Yesterday it got up to 72 degrees. It sure felt like Tornado weather to me. We were put under a Tornado Watch yesterday afternoon going thru 8:00p.m. last night. Well, about 5:00p.m. yesterday afternoon, it started raining, lightening, and the wind was blowing. We didn't have anything severe here in our area tho. PRAISE THE LORD. A couple of counties up in Missouri across the Arkansas State line had a tornado warning. I haven't heard of anything being badly damaged as of yet. I had to turn my heat back on last night before I went to bed. It's going to be "Cold Turkey" today for sure here. LOL

I made up my dressing last night so I wouldn't have to do it today. It takes alot of time to put together homemade dressing. I put it in the fridge last night and I put it in the oven a little while ago. I have my potatoes boiling for my potato salad. In a little while I will fix my Stove Top Cabbage Casserole. Our turkey is done. Hubby took the legs off of it last night and we put the meat in the dressing. So, our turkey will be legless this year for our dinner. LOL. My parents and sister will be here later on. We are planning on eating around 1:00p.m. They will be bringing a few things as well.

We are going to put our Christmas Tree up later this afternoon. Hubby will go over to the other house and get it out of our storage shed and our decorations and bring it over here. After we get it up, I will take a picture of it with my cell phone and try to post it on here in the next few days. We don't have anything fancy, but it is ours and it is beautiful to us.

I did have a Thanksgiving Blessing yesterday morning. As I had posted earlier, my girls were staying all night with my sister and she was taking them to Memphis shopping. Well, yesterday morning around 9:30a.m. my youngest daughter calls me and tells me that they are going to Jonesboro instead since it was raining. I was like "THANK YOU JESUS". I just don't like my girls going to Memphis. It is way too dangerous over there.

Hubby has to leave Saturday morning going to Mississippi to pick up a load. He will come back and stay all night Saturday night. He will have to leave Sunday afternoon around 3:00p.m. going to Missouri. It has to deliver Sunday night at 11:00p.m. This will give him plenty of time to get up there and shut down before he delivers it.

Well, this is a shorter than normal post today. I just wanted to come on here while I was in between things and wish all my friends a "HAPPY THANKSGIVING". May God Bless You and Yours. Also, I pray for a safe return when you get ready to return home this weekend. Now, Yall, "DON'T EAT TOO MUCH" today. LOL. I had to throw this in here.

LOVE & HUGS TO ALL,

I don't think Australia and England do Thanksgiving.

Ray and I do all our "scut work" the day before too (although not this year because I'm not cooking". I always have almost everything ready to go. I hate being to exhausted to enjoy the meal.

Happy Thanksgiving and I'm grateful you didn't have a tornado to contend with.

We had about an hour power outage early morning; no doubt the result of the entire town turning on their ovens simultaneously. It was back on by 7:30 plenty of time to still cook a turkey.

Good evening dear Karen:-)

I'm guessing that you are now all stuffed from all the wonderful food you prepared? lol Send me some leftovers please:-)

I often prepare my dressing and such the day before so that it gives me less to do on the holiday itself. All little tricks to make life easier! lol

Can't wait to see your Christmas tree! I miss having help putting up my tree and decorating the house...the boys use to be good to help when they lived at home:-) I made 10 meatpies today and finished decorating the house...only need to put up my Christmas tree now.

May today and every day be blessed with simple, quiet moments of thanksgiving!! Happy Thanksgiving to my dear American friends from across the border:-) xoxo

Sounds like a delicious dressing. That's a good idea to get thing prepared early. Stopping here to hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. I'm glad that your sister decided to take the girls to Johnsboro instead. What a relief for you. :)
