MONDAY MORNIN'

Mornin' everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. It being the weekend and all, I usually stay pretty busy with the family and all. I do hope that everyone had a great weekend. The sun finally came out here Saturday. I was beginning to think that the sun was hibernating. (hehe) It turned out to be a really nice day Saturday and Sunday as well. Sunday was a bit more on the chilly side, but still, the sun was shining.
Wow, I can't believe I had so may new friends to stop by. I would like to "Thank" Diane for posting on her site about me. I really do appreciate it Diane. I would also like to "Thank" Loretta, Mightymom, Greeneyes, Chrissie, Lynne, Tammy, Susie, Angela, Kansas Rose, and Mountain mama for all stopping by and leaving nice comments. I will stop by each of these new friends places and post something on their site.
We had our Fall Festival here in Caraway Saturday. I went up town for a while and took the girls. Hubby got in about 3:00p.m. I left for a while (kids were still up town with my mother-in-law) to go out to the shop and help hubby put all his things back in his truck. (his truck had been in the shop earlier last week, and he was using another truck) Then we came home and he cleaned up and we went back up town. They were doing the drawings when we got back up there. I didn't win anything tho. After that was over with, the kids were going on a hayride with some of thier friends church group, so hubby and I decided we needed to go to Jonesboro and get a new necessities from Wal-Mart. I tell ya, I just really hate going to Wal-Mart anymore, cause everytime you go there, they have moved things around so much. Also, it is always so warm in there for me. And then, when you are ready to check out, you have to wait in line for the longest to get checked out. I see all kinds of Wal-Mart workers walking around. Looks like they could open up a lane and start checking people out so the lines won't be so long. But anyway, about the only reason I go to Wal-Mart is to get me my Sam's Choice Diet Caffeine Free soda's. And if i'm there to get those, I usually try and get other necessities to last a while. We usually go to Wal-Mart about once a month. Rest of the time, I usually get my things here at the local grocery store and The Dollar Store. (I do love the Dollar Store) They have some really nice things in there.
The girls did pretty good on their report cards this first nine weeks. They both had A's and B's, and both of them had 2 C's. I didn't complain. I have always told them both to always do their best. The schoolwork they have these days, I tell ya, I didn't have till I was up in Junior and Senior High School. I wasn't that smart either in Math and Science, but I made it thru it all and graduated High School. I was number 15 in my class of 35. So, to me that was pretty good.
I tell ya what, that Diane of Diane's Place, sure had it easy last week. (hehe). Reading about her eating out everyday and all just made my mouth water. So, Friday night, me and my girls, and my mother-in-law went down to Lepanto and ate fish at Judy's. She has a buffet and you can eat all you want. It was so good. Then Saturday night when me and hubby went to Jonesboro, we went and ate chinese. We ate at the Mongolian Grill (formerly Perkin's). I love it there. I am a big sea food lover. I had some peel em and eat em shrimp, crab legs, oysters on the half shell, and sushi. I had other things too. It was all so good. Then for my Sunday lunch, I heated a frozen pizza up and made some Ramen Noodles. Then for supper, we had fried bologna sandwiches and french fries. I also did some laundry yesterday too. I was still tired from Saturday being up on my feet all day. We had to go to bed fairly early last night because I had to get up at 2:00a.m. this morning to get hubby up and fix some coffee. He has a load to deliver in Danville, AR this morning. He will be home tonight to spend the night. Tomorrow is the day he goes for another interview with Frito-Lay. I really appreciate everyone praying for him to get the job. Just keep praying. Hopefully I will know something by tomorrow afternoon.
Well the kids go back to school this morning. Their next time to be off will be for Thanksgiving. They usually get 3 days out for that. My oldest daughter's basketball game was cancelled this past Saturday afternoon. I was kind of glad because it was a different team that they had never played before. They do have a game here at Caraway this Thursday night tho. They are also having a sock-hop dance at school tonight for the elementary kids. My oldest daughter said that she didn't think that they were going to play 50's music since most kids now a days listen to hip-hop. I told her I bet they would play some of the 50's music. They are also going to serve them milkshakes. They seem to be a little excited, but I don't know. I'll have to wait and see after the dance is over tonight. This week they are also celebrating Red Ribbon Week at school. Today is pajama day. They get to wear their pajama's to school. I don't know what the other days will be, but they will tell me each day when I pick them up from school. They really enjoy Red Ribbon Week because they get to dress in different ways.
Well, guess I'll go for now. Just thought I would check in while I was up this early. Hope everyone has a great day.

Hugs to all my new friends,
Karen H.

Hi Karen,

Sounds like you've had a busy week. I hate going to Wal-Mart too, but here it's because of the crowds. I usually go early on a Sunday morning. My dogs eat canned vegetables with their dog food and WM's the cheapest place to get them. My husband loves dollar stores! Good throughts going out for your husband's interview. Hope you find out tomorrow.

Hi Karen,
You've had one busy weekend. We just got our first Super Walmart in a neighboring town. The crowds are unbelievable and the lines are forever!!

Hi Karen,

Enjoyed reading about all the things you've been doing. And Jonesboro has such a nice selection of restaurants. I love the Outback Steak House, and I love Chinese food as well. I enjoy going to Walmart in my area. Well, that's about it for bigger stores around here, and by around here I mean within a 40 mile radius.

Hope your husband's job comes through. Thanks so much for leaving a nice birthday wish for my granddaughter, Hannah. I love reading your homey blog. Take care and enjoy our once again sunny weather, though a bit on the cool side. See you again, soon.

All the best,

Renie
