HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!

Good Mornin Yall,
First of all, I would like to wish everyone a "HAPPY HALLOWEEN". I hope everyone has a great time. I went over to Pea's Halloween Bash and had a great time. If you haven't been there yet, please stop by and have a visit. It is very spooktakular. She is a great host and everything is decorated so beautifully.
I went and visited Barb of A Chelsea Morning the other day and I woke up with a sore throat and stopped up nose yesterday. I have been miserable to say the least. I did find some meds in the cabinet from when I was sick back in June and have started taking them. Hopefully in a couple of days I will start feeling better. (No Barb, you didn't give it to me, it's the weather change around here. During the day I run the air-conditioner and at night turn the heat on).
Well hubby went for his other interview yesterday at Frito-Lay. He was interviewed by 3 different people. They asked him several different questions. So, I really don't know anything as of right now. Last time he went for his first interview, it was nearly a week later before they called him back for this second interview. I guess we can just keep our fingers crossed and keep saying little prayers that they will call him back to go take a drug test. He did say it was an over the road job. He may be out 2 days and then back home and the most out 4 days and be home. So, that won't be so bad.
The girls had a great time at their sock-hop Monday night. They did play all 50's music. They said most of it was Elvis music. They also had a root beer float. After the dance, my oldest daughter had basketball practice. They are having a home game tomorrow night here in Caraway. At least it is a team they have played since the 3rd grade and have beaten the last 2 years.
I don't know what my kids are doing tonight. They are too old to go trick-or-treating they said. They have outgrown it. My youngest is gonna go on another hayride with one of her friends at their church I think. My oldest is wanting to go with her friends to do the shaving cream thing. We will just have to wait and see.
The weather here has been really nice. The sun has been out all week. It was a bit cloudy earlier this moring when I took the girls to school. During the days it is really nice but the nights sure do cool down. It was 41 here the other morning when I took the kids to school and I do believe there was a light frost. When I got in my vehicle, there was something on the windshield. Anyway, I think it is gonna be partly cloudy today with a dry cold front coming thru and the lows are supposed to get down into the 30's by the weekend. May be a frost on the pumkin then. I remember one year, my mind is slippin (hehe) that we had a white Halloween. This was before I had met my husband. It was cold too. I had taken pictures of it. It wasn't a big snow, just a dusting, but still it was pretty on all the Halloween decorations and all.
I'm gonna go for now. I'm gonna go and lay down. I didn't sleep too good last night. Just thought I would post while I was finishing up my coffee. Yall take care and have a great day.

"HAPPY HALLOWEEN"
Hugs to all,
Karen H.

Hey, Karen, Sorry you're not feeling well. I had a bad cold a couple of weeks ago but I'm feeling better now. Still congested now and then and a slight cough, but overall much better.

I love Autumn in Arkansas. I love the cold nights and mild days, hay rides, weinie roasts, pretty much everything!

Hope your hubby gets the job and you hear from it soon. ;o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

Hi Karen,

Happy Halloween! I'm sorry to hear that you have a cold, and I hope you get over it quickly. I got the flu shot today, so I hope I won't get a little reaction to it, besides the sore arm I expect to have for a couple of days.

I know the girls enjoyed the sock hop. I remember enjoying those as a girl in the fifties. Yep, I'm an oldie!

Yes, our weather sure has been gorgeous. Tonight will be perfect for the little goblins. As Diane said, this time of year is perfect in Arkansas, and for those of us with a half a foot in Arkansas, and a half in Missouri, too. :-)

Get better soon, Happy Halloween, and thank you for your nice message on my humble blog.

Hugs,

Renie

Hi Karen,
Sorry you're feeling a bit under the weather. It really is the time of year for all the bugs to start being passed around.
Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for stopping and checking to see if I'm ok. Yes, even though we are about 50 or so miles away, and that may not be as the crow flies, our house pitched and rolled for a few minutes. No shaking, the house didn't even make a noise, just the weird sensation of rocking back and forth. Years ago, we had felt one earthquake that was centered in Coalinga, and even though we were 100 miles away, we rocked for at least 10 minutes. So in the back of my mind I knew it was far away by the way it rolled, but I wasn't going to take any chances, and dashed out side. We have family 3 miles from there, and we couldn't get a hold of them until the next day, the phone lines were all jammed - :)What a way to end the month! Have a great day!
